These people are extremely unprofessional, discourteous & not friendly. They think they own the entire parking lot despite several other shops in the same area. If Kwon owns the spots then they should label them with a professional sign and not run out yelling at people. Do you really want someone like these people to work on your vehicle? My Answer is NO WAY!

I've taken my Honda here several times and have had excellent experiences every time. Janice does a great job of explaining everything and helps me plan ahead for what my car will need next and when. The prices are quite reasonable and when I've had a lot of work done, they worked with me to lower some costs. Unlike most other shops I've been to, I never feel like I'm being pushed to do something my car doesn't need yet (or at all) and I've never been fed a line of BS about a particular service or part. This is a fantastic family owned and operated business that I highly recommend!

hmm. This is a slightly different opinion from other people's reviews. I visited due to a breakdown related to my car's cruise control. The staff were friendly, but I didn't feel professional. Above all, I was surprised that it cost over $600 just for inspection and battery replacement. In the end, the problem with my car was that I needed to replace the camera, and they asked for $1,700, but I ended up replacing the camera somewhere else and spent $600. I was a visitor, not a resident, and was very disappointed to be asked for a large amount of money, which was contrary to what I expected from a place where Koreans could speak Korean. I don't know about those who live there, but as a Korean, I do not recommend leaving it to Koreans who come to San Diego for a short period of time with high expectations.

I have visited Kwon's a number of times and I am always very pleased with the service I receive. My last visit was for a smog check which was done quick and efficiently. While there, a vehicle inspection was also done and it was identified that I needed brakes as well. I new I needed brakes but I didn't realize that they were a 5% of wear remaining. When I spoke with Janice, she was informing me and not necessarily recommending that I needed to get them done immediately. However, I did asked them to proceed if they could have the truck complete by 4pm. Kwon's had it completed at the promised time and for a very fair price for labor and OEM parts. I will continue to bring my vehicle there for service and recommend them to anybody looking for a quality repair at a fair price.

Just had a great experience with Kwons! Janice was super helpful and listened to all my thought on trouble shooting what was going on with my son’s car! Janice Even went above and beyond with my warranty and suggesting another repair that was needed and that would he under the same warranty deductible! Overall great experience. The only feedback would be that it did take a little while because of the limited about of racks they have to work on cars. I would definitely go back though! Thank you!

Last year i bought a somewhat vintage car without doing proper research, and was struggling on taking care of it. A family friend told me about Kwons and I am so glad they did. They did a wonderful job on the vehicle and best of all they were always honest, telling me what needed to be done and even ways to work around the problems before they got the ok from me to fix it. I eventually sold it, in which they were able to smog it and make sure it was good to go. Great mechanics and great staff!

Honest service, nice people. I brought my 2010 Toyota Prius for Tire Pressure Sensor, Oil change, and torn Stabilizer Link. Tire Pressure was just more air needed so they didn't charge me for it. Oil change and Stabilizer replacement were fine too. When I mentioned the car makes noise in certain situations, they were eager to assess what the issue is and help me any way possible. It is my third visit here and every time, I am greeted and given fair expectations on the issue along with reasonable time window for the services required.

I usually go to another place in Miramar for smog checks for years, but sadly they closed down. I stopped by here instead and got my smog done. It was much 2/3 MORE compared to the place I used in Del Mar. This will be my first and last time using this location.

This place is top notch. I came here originally for a smog check, which was done in 15 minutes despite them being very busy at the time. In addition, the customer service and level of competency for auto repair are both outstanding. The mechanic spoke with me directly, was happy to answer all of my questions, and gave me a free and fast quote on my next repairs and maintenance for my car (which, by the way, happened to be significantly less expensive than a quote from another garage). This is my second time here, and service was consistently excellent both times. This is also a local family-owned business. They are doing exactly what so many auto repair businesses are not doing: prioritizing customer service and doing no-nonsense good work at great rates.

I arrived at Kwon's Auto Repair unexpectedly because my go-to repair shop was closed. I made the mistake of purchasing a car prior to a car inspection (don't make this mistake). After noticing a few things with the car, I decided to bring it in for an inspection and was blown away by their attention to detail and customer service. While I was there, they noticed that my alternator needed to be fixed and they were able to get the job completed right away. Prior to leaving they gave me a report of the current issues with my car so that I can prioritize my repairs and not have any unexpected surprises in the future. Super thankful that I had gone there and I will be going there from now on!

STAR Smog check on old (pre-ODB2) car. Not all STAR stations will do these older cars, not sure why. But Kwon will and can do repairs if needed. Janice was very thorough and I'm happy with her inspection.

They were able to help me find A program that would help me pay for my AC repair but ended up fighting for me and fixing more than what we thought possible through the program. Extremely sweet and nice family auto shop to get any type of work you need done. Looking forward to continuing my 96 Buick regal restoration with them in the future.
