Had some issues trying to get my car in at Hyundai for dual-clutch transmission work, so I thought I'd try the next best thing... going local. I found Landis and seen how close they were to me, so I started digging into their reviews. It says 4.1 stars (at the time I'm writing this), but it should definitely be higher. I had outstanding service with Landis Transmission. I had sent an email over asking if they'd be able to work on my Tucson which has a dual-clutch transmission (DCT). They said that they've worked on many DCTs like Ford and Volkswagen, and to give him a call at my earliest convenience to set up an appointment. Told the guy over the phone that "all I needed to hear was Ford" (look up PowerShift transmissions lol). He got me an appointment a week later. Dropped my car off after hours and they got to work on it right away. The tech or the advisor was awesome, and had given me a ring to tell me they couldn't find the issue, and asked how it could possibly be replicated. Told them, and three hours later they called me and said "you need a clutch" (which I knew). Gave me a very reasonable estimate, but couldn't give me a time frame of when it'd be done (which is alright, some parts are difficult to get right now). It took them about three weeks to get everything back together, and after two months driving my car, the transmission has been driving like butter. Can't thank Landis Transmission enough for the amazing work. It truly shows how they don't care about getting paid, they care that the customer is happy and their car is fixed. Thanks Landis Transmission, I'll be sure to rave about you guys everywhere and anywhere I can!!!

They are honest and upfront about their services. I had a transmission replacement done on my 2004 ford police interceptor. They gave me several options and said what the prices would be up front. And I chose what would be the best for my situation. And they did a professional job and got it done in a timely manner. They were recommended by several people I knew, including very well known buiessness owners. The ones that said stupid stuff about them in the ratings, sound like their from the shady transmission shops that are trying giving these guys a bad rap.

This place is able to rebuild transmissions instead of just installing a new one like most shops want to do. Very competitive pricing!

Went in with questions about engine noise I was hearing… I thought it was a belt or something… unfortunately it was a transmission!!!! I almost died. But I was told I could get a rebuilt one for much Cheaper price.. it took awhile, but my car is given a new heart and it came with a warranty anyway, even though it was a used and rebuilt transmission!!!!! They saved me thousands of dollars, and the car is so quiet and drives perfectly!!!! I have a 2018 Ford Escape….. It is basically a new car all over again. Thanks Landis.

Installed a re-manufactured trans in my daughters 2012 Jeep Liberty a year ago, it developed a slight leak on one of the coolant lines they fixed it no charge. They also fixed the heater. They diagnosed it and found a simple fix. They are great to work with, excellent reputation and reasonably priced.

* DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE * I recently took my vehicle here for an engine problem, as well as having no heat. When I received my car back, & turned on my radio, (I have a 10 inch sub/amp combo) it made a horrible reverb noise, and was blasting the bass as if it was turned up the entire way. (With the system on minimum). I told them someone either broke or did something to my system & they said they were unaware this happened. Yet when I got my car back, the bass tuner knob on my center console, was pushed in (which pops it out for tuning). So someone realized they broke or messed up the bass in my car, then incorrectly tried to fix it using the center console button, (which does not control the sub/amp itself.) & then proceeded to never even inform me they did this. (I never told them I noticed what they did initially with the knob.) I had to drive my car back & drop it off for them to fix what they did. I go back, pick up my car, & my speakers now rattle, & are giving the "blown out" sound with bass through them. Basically, they broke my sound system/speakers, which had absolutely nothing to do with why I brought it there in the first place, & never even informed me. There was also dirt smeared all over my display panel. Just incredible the amount of incompetence or negligence & liberties this company took with my personal property. If I could give negative stars I would, they ruined the thing I loved most about my car & didn't even bother to inform me or fix it.

On vacation from MA and my axle broke as we were heading home Sunday. Don at Landis got us in on Monday morning and they were able to get us back up and running by around 3. They actually charged us more than $100 less than they estimated, because the job didn't take as long as expected. I was very impressed by that, particularly given that it would be easy to take advantage of someone in our situation.

Landis Transmission is the only shop I will take my car to. They are honest and reasonably priced. Recently I had my car towed there because it wouldn't shift out of park. They diagnosed the problem and found that there was an open recall. They were able to get my car road safe so I could get it to a Ford dealership and have the issue fixed for no cost. They did not charge me for the diagnosis and quick fix. Great people to work with and I highly recommend them.

Work was done before they said it was going to be. Scheduled to go on vacation on Friday and took vehicle for service on Monday for oil change and checkup to another shop. Found a transmission issue so took it here on Tuesday and was told a week to get it in. Told my story and it was fixed by Thursday: great vacation and work was done well. Thanks for your work.

I won't take my vehicle anywhere else after experiencing the professionalism and great service at Landis. Twice now they were able to fit me in for same day service and by the end of the day my vehicle is back on the road. Give them a call! Military veteran staff as well for an added bonus!

This place is great! We have a Toyota Corolla that ended up giving transmission codes after a squirrel decided to chew on a wire on our car. Landis transmissions quickly diagnosed the issue for a reasonable price, and went ahead and performed transmission service to ensure our car runs for years to come! Anytime I have anything transmission-related come up in the future, we will immediately come here every time! These guys are the best. Thanks Landis Transmission!

As a single woman who gets talked down to by most mechanics, I fell in love with this place after the first call. Everyone was informative, answered all my questions and had a new transmission installed in less than a week. I will be recommending Landis Transmission to anyone who asks.

My experience with this shop was disappointing and felt misleading. I called ahead and clearly explained the issue with my truck in detail. Instead of providing a realistic idea of potential costs, I was told to bring it in for an inspection. Once I asked a few more questions over the phone, the representative quickly suggested that the truck “most likely needs a new transmission,” which raised concerns that they already had a good idea of the issue but wanted me to bring it in before disclosing the likely cost so they can charge a diagnostic fee. Had I not asked those questions, I would have paid for towing to and from the shop, plus a diagnostic fee, only to be told I needed a full transmission replacement exceeding $5,000. More than the truck is worth. In my opinion, a more transparent approach over the phone would have saved everyone time and money. I recommend that anyone considering this shop ask for upfront estimates and clarity on potential costs before bringing their vehicle in. Any mechanic that does business like this should not be trusted in ANY manner whatsoever.
