Larsen Automotive sold me a cheap battery for just under $300 which to me is a lot, but due to desperation, I had to agree to it. It took the mechanic 3 minutes to install it. When given my invoice, I noticed the breakdown of the total cost and it showed that $110 was their fee just to install the battery!! That was not revealed to me initially. That night, as I was driving on the freeway, I noticed my hood moving. I had to get out of the freeway and, sure enough, the mechanic who charged me $110 for 3 minutes of work had failed to properly close it. I was lucky that nothing happened while driving.

I had such a wonderful experience with Larsen Automotive! From the moment I walked in, Nick was incredibly helpful and kind. While my car issue wasn’t immediately easy to diagnose, he and the team worked so hard to get to the bottom of it and never gave up. In the end, Nick gave me such valuable information and advice that made me feel confident and informed about my next steps. What stood out most to me was their honesty and integrity — you can tell these are genuinely good people who care about their customers. My experience at Larsen Automotive (my previous mechanic’s recommendation) was Excellent! Don, was my point person. I came in for an oil change, tuneup, and general inspection. I expected there to be additional services per the inspection, and to leave the car (2008 Jeep Commander) overnight. I was Not expecting the level of care and attention I received. Don kept me posted overall. The following morning I received a text with a Full and Thorough report (for Printout) on all the systems, what needed to be done And the level of necessity, i.e. what needed attention -repair/replaced asap, what would be needed ‘down the road,’ and what was fine. Happily most systems are Fine. ‘Call to discuss the specifics and the costs.’ Don took me through the entire 10 (!) pages, quoted the costs, and gave further advice. Having previously owned nine cars over the (Many:) years, I’ve Never experienced this level of attention and detail!! I authorized the needed work, it was all done to my satisfaction, and the cost overall was quite reasonable. Thanks to all those who did the work . I now have a new go-to mechanic and I’m delighted! -Satisfied to the point of writing this lengthly review. Thanks Don, Miles,and Larsen Auto!

I came in via a referral from my go-to auto shop in Culver City, Ed Little, because they couldn’t service the AC in my make/model. Anyway, the gents at Larson (Don helped me out) were fantastic — attentive, prompt, professional, fair. Unfortunately, I was delivered death star news on my AC, but se la vie. Return customer based on an earlier positive result with another one of our old vehicles. That visit was for a doozy of an electrical issue and the tenacity the guys at Larsen showed resulted in the latest return visit. Brought a 30 plus year old minivan in to identify a severe coolant leak. The tech found one of the leaks and fixed that only to find more leaks - which required more parts buried behind the engine compartment. Don and Nick were amazing in helping me out in a quick pinch. I was recommended to see them after my inspection with Baizer and Grimmett to take a look at my AC unit for my Honda Civic. They were able to diagnose the problem where I had shoddy work done from Fix Car Now (do not go there at all) and gave us advice on what we need to do next to fix the issue. As someone who is heavily pregnant and feeling anxious, they made sure to take care of me and made me feel like I was their top priority. I deeply appreciate their service and help and would be coming back in the future/recommending them to our friends! Thanks Larsen for taking care of us!

I’m so glad to find Larsen Automotive! They are a great car repair shop close to home with knowledgeable mechanics and friendly customer service and fair pricing too! I know my old car had a lot of issues and they listed all of them through their inspection and discussed with me what needs repair now and what could be monitored for future repair. I needed it to pass a smog check and they took care of the check engine light issue and did the smog test that passed! Saved me an extra trip to get it smogged. Best to make an appointment with them, they are a busy shop. I’m very pleased and we’ll definitely use them for all of our car maintenance and repairs. They also respond in a timely manner which is great!

If that’s not enough, Google the top customer reviewed auto repair shops in Culver City. Yup, Larsen’s among 5 of the best in Competence in workmanship, Fairness in pricing and Courtesy staff. A great experience, I made an appt online and as soon as I arrived Nick was there to greet me and walk me through the next steps. They were very honest and respectful with the work they recommended to be done. I was able to get my car looked over within the day and they even were able to address things I hadn’t known about or forgot to mention. Overall was a good price point for what I had done and a quick turnaround time. I would return again to get my car repaired here :)
