Rolled into Waterloo on after driving through a rain and ice storm and then a very cold snap that night and the starter on our Sprinter van didn't work the next morning.. The guys were quick on site to check out our, have it towed to the shop, and then repaired the starter. Thanks Trey, Jeremy and Jared(?).

If you are broken down anywhere near Waterloo Iowa and are searching for help online..CALL THESE PEOPLE!!!! I have been in the trucking industry 30 years and I have had trucks broken down- stranded on the side of the road many many times and as we all are now, we are at the mercy of whatever company (good or bad or VERY VERY BAD) is listed when we search online, we really never know until it is too late..BY THE GRACE OF GOD WE GOT LOVELL'S TRUCK REPAIR!!!! THEY WENT SO FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP US, I can't even explain. In all my 30 years, what they did to help one of my owner operators...I had never seen done. They were literally the "answer to his prayers". I am not sure he would not have just "walked away and given up" after nearly 40 years of doing this, if we had gotten anyone except Lovells. JUST CALL THEM IF YOU NEED HELP NEAR WATERLOO!

Left to go back ti shop to get, got his lunch, came back fixed it. 800 for repair since he had to get parts he should carry and then charged us for the time he got lunch. Never call these people!!!

Our truck broke down just North of Waterloo Friday night ... They came out to diagnose and looked after towing to their shop. If they could have got the parts im certain they would have worked on the weekend but could not get the parts.. Truck fixed and back on the road. Very nice to deal with .. Good people

Marquez was very friendly, helpful, and personable. He provided a service well worth paying for. He came to my parking spot, tested my batteries, jumped me off, and got me in the shop. Marquez changed out all four batteries in good time, and was still friendly after all that hard work. The fella in the office was friendly and helpful as well. Pretty much everyone I encountered were friendly.

Dennis and Marty are absolutely fantastic! They went way above and beyond to help us when we sustained major damage to our fifth wheel. Dennis did an outstanding job with the welding and repairs and they both stayed well after business hours to help get us on the road again-safely! We were so grateful for the exceptional service but also meeting two really terrific people. Thanks a million!

We were on our way to a family vacation pulling a boat and snapped an axle on the boat trailer near waterloo on a Saturday morning. I called multiple shops before getting Lovells on the phone. The owner could have charged me anything he wanted but he was extremely fair. I would have been on the road again the same day if not for parts availability. He had me going down the road again first thing the next Monday morning. Highly recommend, really awesome service.

The guys at Lovell's were great! So knowledgeable and professional. They took great care of us in more ways than just getting our RV back in the road. They were affordable and really friendly. If you want someone who knows what they are doing to fix your diesel, in a timely fashion, with excellence, and a smile on their face go to lovell's! You will be very happy you did!

The worst truck repair shop, in any case, do not go there to fix the truck. Yesterday we called them on the phone, they said that the cost would be a maximum of $ 600.we brought it in the morning at 9 and had to wait until 18:00, and they counted $ 140 per hour of work. Moreover, having bought a spare part for $ 484, they counted me as $ 610.They weren't in a hurry to fix my truck at all.Not only did I wait from morning to evening, but they also charged me $1,553 for replacing the fan clutch. They deliberately dragged their time, although in fact it takes 4 hours to replace the spare part. Fan hub and fan except for the fan clutch I bought myself in the store for my own money.

I want to share my impressions with you to protect you from these uncooperative mechanics! Not long ago we went to this truck service to fix our truck and were very disappointed! Their work does not correspond to the work they do. The work that could have been completed in 3 or 4 hours was done from morning until evening intentionally to drag out time because they charge $140 per hour. I do not advise anyone to contact these people!

Had a break down of our RV. They got the tow truck, did the repairs +, easy to talk to, easy to get along with. Will call them with any repairs I can't do myself on our RV. Hard to earn my trust, but they did it, so only place I will use.

Our diesel motor home flashed a warning we had water in the fuel. We stopped and were directed to Lovell’s by the employees of the Flying J truck stop on I 380. Lovell’s squeezed us in and their inspection showed no water but a faulty computer code. Instead of having to have our motor home towed to a Mercedes dealer Lovell’s got us back on the road to the family reunion. And didn’t charge us! Everyone was very nice and we greatly appreciated their help. Thank you so much.

I am writing to commend the outstanding service I received at your Waterloo, IA location. Following a clutch failure in my semi-truck, I contacted your shop to arrange repairs. From the initial contact, where Kevin's efficient and professional handling of my inquiry ensured a seamless scheduling process, to the completion of the work, my experience was exemplary. The mechanics, Derick and Heriberto, demonstrated exceptional skill and efficiency in installing the new clutch and addressing other minor issues. Their expertise minimized my downtime, a critical factor for a professional driver. The quality of their workmanship was truly impressive. In addition to the superior service, the pricing was highly competitive. I was extremely satisfied with the overall value provided. I wholeheartedly recommend Lovell Truck Shop to any driver seeking reliable and professional truck repair services. Your team's dedication to customer satisfaction is commendable.

If you’re ever in the area and need vehicle help, skip the headache and just call these guys right away. I don’t usually write reviews but this is well deserved! We are in an 32ft RV pulling a 16ft trailer all the way from Washington state! While driving through at 6:30am our outer dually tire flew off on the back. No damage was done to the hub or axle, the lug studs sheered clean off. We immediately stopped and fetched the lost tire and started calling around for help. Every business was closed or “didn’t work on RV’s” despite us telling them it was a tire issue not RV issue. Finally reaching out to Lovell’s, they weren’t sure if they could help us but reassured us they would help us figure it out. Needless to say, they ended up sending out two techs to assess the situation to see how they could help. The techs than went to fetch the lug studs, came back and fixed us up as well as checking our other tires! Than sent us on our way. No tow needed! We are incredibly thankful for their willingness to help, their compassion towards our situation, and their quick response time!

I used them today to get my Pete 579 with a Series 60 back on the road, they were quick, they were efficient and they were reasonable in their prices, the Diesel gelled so we had to get treatment and the fuel water separator replaced, every other shop in the area either didn't want to help or wanted a $600.00 minimum just to come out, thanks very much for the help!

Stay away from this place! You should ask the mechanics how much the work will cost before they start, because they ripped me off, charging me $200 to replace just one tire.
