On December 30th, I took my car to Magnolia Auto Specualist because it was overheating and unable to retain coolant, leaking all the water that was added to it. After inspecting it myself, I realized the issue was either the water pump or the hose, which caused the thermostat to overheat. When I brought the car in, they informed me they would run a diagnostic to determine the issue and provide an estimate. The following morning, they called me to say that only the thermostat was damaged and needed to be replaced. I trusted their expertise and agreed to the repair. However, on the day they were supposed to deliver my car, they called to inform me that the car was still overheating. They claimed they had performed another diagnostic and discovered that the water pump was the actual issue and needed to be replaced as well. This sequence of events makes it clear that they performed a superficial diagnostic without thoroughly investigating the problem, even though I specifically mentioned the potential causes when I dropped off the car. As a result, my thermostat was not actually faulty, but they replaced it anyway. This poor diagnostic process led to unnecessary expenses for me because they chose the easier, more visible, and less costly issue to address initially. Then, once the car was already in their shop, they presented the second diagnosis, resulting in additional work and profit for them. While my vehicle was ultimately repaired correctly, this situation could have been resolved more efficiently and economically with an accurate diagnosis from the beginning.

I used to love this place but I will never take my car back here again. I had to get my AC system replaced (compressor, condenser). We paid the $2,000 and I get home and my car still isn’t blowing cold at all! We take it back and they didn’t believe us, my dad had them pop the hood, sure enough they put my $2,000 worth of parts in a different car that was the same model as mine. I don’t know how you mess up that bad by mixing cars up. They also didn’t discount us when they removed the parts from the other car and put it in to mine. Don’t recommend!
