I didn't do business. But I actually got an appointment when my car would be inspected and worked immediately that same day of appointment. Well at least I was told.. I wouldn't wait 3 days just to diagnose and after approval wait another day or 2 for work to start

A warning light came on and when I called Mango, Dillon told me that I could go in right away so that they could get an idea of what might be wrong. A quick check indicated a potential emissions issue that had triggered the check engine light. I dropped my car the next day for a full diagnostic check. They confirmed the emissions issue, targeting the specific problems, and also advised me that my 10-year old tires were cracked, saving me an extra visit and preventing a potential tire failure. Dillon and his team were helpful and professional and got the work done quickly and efficiently. I especially appreciate that Dillon had me go in as soon as I first called so that I could have a sense right away about how serious it might be.

They were very good. Told me what needed to be done on my car first and gave me a itemized list for future repairs. What i really was pleased about was they patiently explained everything and did not talk down to me. Thank you for the great experience.

We were traveling from out of state and they were able to get us right in. The staff was very polite and helpful. They even told us other things they found while fixing the alignment but were not pushy on having us get it all fixed. They even stated that some of it was easy enough if we wanted to to it ourselves. That means a lot for customer service for honesty. They were good priced.

Total quality, every question I asked they educated me on preventing any potential car problems. The original price was $980.00? They focus on the labor and saved $100.00. They took me even though I didn't make appointment, yeah a days wait all worth it. Thank guys

The experts at Mango Auto gave my 2006 dodge RAM front headlights & road lights an upgrade to LED bulbs. As usual, they are professioal and their knowledge is spot-on. Always políte, keeping me updated on progress. Mango is a great place to get a decent cost and getting the job done on time. Thanks to the mechanics for honest and reasonable cost as promised!

Mango Automotive went above and beyond when replacing my turbocharger. They also caught and fixed other issues I didn’t even know I had, explaining everything clearly along the way. They even showed me photos of the parts and why certain repairs were important. I really appreciated how they made me feel comfortable and informed about something I don’t normally understand. Excellent service and great communication—I’ll definitely be coming back!

I went to 3 different auto shops before Mango - estimated work was $2500-3000. I called Mango, Michael at the front desk was super attentive and listened to all my concerns - I feel he went the extra mile to help. I had an estimate within minutes - half the price of the other 3 shops. Plus - they emphasized they were not going to recommend services I didn’t need in the hopes I’d just buy them. They supported every finding on their inspection and talked me through the whole process. My car was done the next day. Very satisfied and will use them again!

Called last-minute on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to get my car in the next day for an oil change, yay! Customer service was fantastic. Mike (Michael?), in particular, was extremely pleasant and helpful. (This applies to my phone/in-shop communication as well as hearing him interact with other clients while I was dropping off my vehicle.) Parking is a bit of a pain in the ass, but that's to be expected downtown. Based on my first experience, I would definitely take my car back to Mango Automotive. Thanks, all! 🥭

I was very much beyond pleased of the services I received at mango automotive. The establishment was clean friendly technicians were professional and Mike was super helpful and honest.. Friday 11/21/25 I was scheduled for a 10 AM oil change for my Subaru. I arrived. 10 minutes early turned in my keys and made myself comfortable. The establishment is clean and very friendly. I was offered a cup of coffee which I I greatly appreciated. Approximately 40 minutes or so into the visit I was notified by Dillon that I needed to replace both air filter and cabin filter. I was given an estimate and was told that they would have the parts shortly. I angreed to move anhead with the service. Unfortunately, another hour and 20 minutes went by and still No filters were delivered. After countless phone calls to the auto parts store I could no longer wait. I was told that they were very sorry and they would make things right. I paid for the oil change and was told to come back to get the air filters replaced. I checked back in with them later on the same afternoon was told to come by. Filters were switched out, at no charge. This is what I call true customer service. Even though this was no fault of theirs, they went the extra mile by making sure I was a satisfied customer. I will definitely continue to use them for ALL my car needs. Thankfully, and much appreciated. Dillon and Mike are stand up guys. Have a wonderful holiday gentlemen.

It’s been one year since Mango replaced my motor on my Ford Fusion. The staff were helpful explaining to me the issues I was having and why I needed to place the motor. Their work was done in a timely manner and my car runs well. When I received my car, I had to take it back in to get some hoses tightened but it has continued to run without any problems since then. I would recommend Mango considering I haven’t had any issues and their work is warrantied.

Had my 2021 VW Tiguan towed after a bad accident. I called Mango Automotive due to their rave reviews, and they allowed me to have my car towed to their shop for inspection. They said it would be a while before they could look at it, which was fine. But there's poor communication here - they didn't call me the next day, or the next, not even to let me know they hadn't gotten around to it yet. I had to follow up each time over the course of a week. Once the damage was inspected, they sent me a quote with some photos showing... what, exactly? So I got myself down to their shop to look myself. The blurry dark photos didn't match anything on the quote, but they were more than happy to point out the issues on the vehicle. Some were obvious, others were subtle (or invisible to the naked eye). One of the techs took his time to explain internal/invisible damage, and how ignoring some repairs now will cause issues in the future. The office staff were also helpful in answering my questions and pointing out specific things on the vehicle using a flashlight. I'm not a mechanic, but as a young female, I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting screwed over. Overall, the repairs were quick, and the vehicle is running like new - a relief after spending over $5k. Nice guys, especially the techs. Poor communication with the office, so I'm glad I didn't have to *too far* out of my way to look at my VW before agreeing to a quote. Would recommend.

I went to Mango Automotive in downtown because my shop on griegos was closed. I want to say that I had great experience with Mangi Automotive. They identified the issue they explained to me in detail of what the issue is and what they were going to be doing. Also love the fact that they gave me timeline of when they were going to reach out to me with the next steps. The shop cleanliness is top notch. And their customer service is 100%. Thank you so much Mike and team for working with me. It was a great experience.

I needed a ton of work on my Buick and some would fall under my extended warranty. Mike is so patient with my warranty company. He is working with them through the work being done trying to save me more out of pocket. I appreciate the whole teams hard work on my vehicle. They work fast and efficient. My Buick runs like new now! It’s so nice to have a mechanic shop that I trust.

This is my true documented experience with a 2003 Subaru Legacy 4WD that I bought for $1000.00 cash via Facebook marketplace, privately with him giving me the title with his signature. It’s a salvaged title, had no oil in it, all 4 tires were the wrong size, and the guy said it needed an alignment. So that very day in July of 2025, I drove it immediately to the Valvoline on Coors and Montano and they gave me the works, five star status, synthetic blend oil change, replaced my air filter, replaced and topped off all my fluids, and replaced all 3 of my wiper blades (2 front, 1 rear). Then I drove this Subaru to Discount Tires to get the alignment and he informs me that the two front tires are worn out and need replacing, so even though I was there initially for an alignment only, I agreed to the two new tires too. While I was waiting for the work to be done, I took a Lyft to Oreily’s by Los Volcanes to get some supplemental supplies for the car and then when I returned, the guy informs me that all 4 tires needed to be replaced because they were all the wrong size and the guy was still working on the alignment, I said how much do I owe you? He said nothing from the prior cost of the agreed two tires and the alignment, I said wow! Okay cool. He said just come back and see us. Then when my alignment was finished the technician who did it, told me that the right lean to the right couldn’t be fixed because the front struts were bad, and then after replacing them another alignment would be needed. I asked him if they did that there and he replied no. So my power steering too at this point all the way to the point of the story, where Mango Automotive downtown gets involved. I live close by, so I received a flyer from this place and looked up their reviews on google again, great reviews. So i finally decided only inquiring about only an inspection for costs and labor for front struts and alignment afterwards. Nothing more, nothing less. I made an appointment for today at 10am. When I drive into their parking lot for the inspection and my car’s power steering assist worked perfectly fine, especially in the parked, idle position. And I go in, greeted. Asked if I would be leaving the car with them, I said no, I need to be at work because I am my mother’s primary care giver and I made an appointment with Mike and he said it wouldn’t take long. So I waited for 2 hours and the guy comes back and prints an inspection invoice for thousands of dollars of repair, nothing involving the struts in fact he told me it definitely wasn’t the struts, but other repairs. So I said okay. Bummed out because i thought I might be able to save up for it if it was like $800 or something. I get back into my vehicle parked in a different spot before I went in and turned the ignition key on and the car acted like if there was absolutely zero power steering fluid and I couldn’t drive my car back to work in that condition, so I told them what do I do? What did they do to mess it up? Why is it all of a sudden acting like this, and so we all mutually agreed they keep it because I needed to get back to work. I make it back to work and still doing my job. But wondering in the back of my mind what is going to happen with this car? Why these problems, now? I won’t even get into how hard it was for me to get it insured and registered with a new title in my name was. So I get off of work. I call Mike back because he left a voicemail on my phone saying there’s nothing different, and power. Steering is fine at higher rpms. Still neglecting the fact that when it’s in parked, idle gear with no increase to rpms via gas pedal power it still acts as if no power steering fluid at all and it wasn’t like that before the initial 2 hour inspection. Then! Get this, when I call mike back on the phone to discuss these matters and get my car back, he tells me he had his master tech look at it & there is significant damaged to the struts. This is a serious safety concern to my life. emphasized it wasn’t mentioned with my 1st inspection. now i need a new invoice with strut damage.

I’ve had a very good experience with Mango Automotive Downtown. Most recently they handled an oil contamination issue on my VW in a calm, methodical way and did not jump to worst case conclusions. They explained the possibilities clearly and laid out a sensible plan before moving forward. They used quality OEM equivalent parts, performed a thorough coolant flush, and scheduled a follow up check to make sure everything settled properly. I’ve also brought my daughter’s Subaru there for oil changes, new tires, and a battery. I work with Michael and he is always attentive and responsive. I never feel like they are trying to upsell me. Just straightforward communication and solid work. I feel lucky to have a shop like this within walking distance of my home and workplace in Downtown ABQ. Highly recommended.
