Mario's auto shop is a MUST if you live in the Brickell area!!! I headed over to check it out after reading good reviews and he did not disappoint. Mario was extremely nice, welcoming to me and very attentive. He did a detailed check of my car and was VERY transparent and honest with me about what needed to be fixed. His prices are unbeatable in Miami and he didn't try to overcharge/BS anything at all. I got a cold bottle of water every time I was waiting there and his service was so fast both times I've gone. He really runs a great local and family business. I will be going here for everything I need on my car. Thanks Mario!

If you need repairs to your car, YOU NEED TO GO HERE 1000%! Ask for Mario, he is absolutely amazing! We are from Canada and drove to Florida and when we showed up our brakes needed to be done and we needed our vehicle for the week that we were in Florida. Mario got us in literally ONE HOUR after I initially called him and our vehicle was done that same afternoon! His prices are fantastic, and he didn't pressure me at all, even offered to show me all the parts and explained why they need replacing. Very honest man! If you're travelling and are out of your comfort zone and want an honest mechanic to solve your vehicle needs, go here and ask for Mario! Very satisfied customer and will be coming back to him every time we come to Florida and need work done on our car, this garage just got a new customer for as long as this business exists!

I came to Mario after calling around a few shops and telling them what I needed. They wanted to do more work than what was needed. I came for maintenance and knew what needed to be done, I used to do it myself until I didn’t have a garage anymore. Mario listened to what I needed and did an all-around check too to see if anything else was needed. He was honest and said everything else was in good shape. He worked on my car personally and did a great job, and replaced everything I asked for. His prices are good and fair and he is an honest mechanic, which is not always easy to find anymore. Will definitely be back for any maintenance needed.

I just left Mario’s repair shop and it is probably the best mechanic I’ve ever been to. The workers were so kind on the phone and helped me with a vehicle emergency. Mario was fantastic. Was traveling to Miami Beach with my wife and the check engine light came on. Thinking I may have to replace my entire group of spark plugs and engine coils, Mario recognized it was simply 1 coil and spark plug, test drove it repeatedly to ensure their wasn’t another issue that triggered the check engine light. What an honest, thorough, and practical mechanic. If ever in Miami and needing mechanical services again for my vehicles, there is no doubt I am coming back. He was also kind enough to recommend a delicious Little Havana restaurant for us to try when we picked up my truck, thanks again!

Some stories start on the road. Mine begins with a grey 1986 Dodge Aries K-Car, barreling across the country from Los Angeles to Miami, driven by my grandfather Ramiro Fernandez, a quiet hard working man and a job waiting at the Dade County Board of Education. That car, was dependable—but only just. It coughed. It overheated. It complained at every turn. But it got him to work. It got me to school. And when it didn’t, we went to Mario’s Auto Repair. If you were lucky enough to grow up in Miami in the ‘80s or early ‘90s, you know that places like Mario’s were part garage, part community center, part confessional booth. That old Dodge Aries K-car went through radiators, water pumps, brakes, CV joints— axles- hell, it even got a rebuilt engine, all under Mario’s watchful eye. And through every visit, every repair, Mario was fair, kind, and never once tried to sell us something we didn’t need. There was no waiting room. Some days, I’d just loiter outside with my grandfather for hours, leaning against that worn-out Dodge, watching Mario work his magic, listening to the clatter of tools and the hum of old Miami heat. And sweeping the shop floor was a kind deaf-mute man Mario employed—always smiling, always working. I still wonder about him. Does anyone remember his name? When money was tight, Mario gave my grandfather terms. No paperwork. No interest. Just a nod, a handshake, and an understanding. It was old-school honor—the kind you don’t find on Yelp or Google Maps. The kind this city was built on. We stayed with Mario until the early ‘90s, when my grandfather upgraded to a red Toyota Corolla and eventually left the K-car, and much of that era, behind. As I prepare to leave Miami myself, I’m making it a point to leave reviews for the legacy businesses that made my childhood human. And Mario’s Auto Repair is near the top of that list. So if you’re in Miami, and your car’s making a noise it shouldn’t, don’t go to the flashy chain down the street. Go to Mario’s. Let him remind you of what service used to be. What decency used to look like. They don’t make them like that anymore. And that’s exactly why this place matters.

Highly recommended, very honest mechanic was recommended to me by honest people. Mario was very knowledgeable and really cared about me as a person and not just as another customer. Instead of trying to sell me on doing an expensive job he gave me practical advice and advised me to start off the most economic route. Which was giving me tips as to what I can do on my own before getting into buying a service from him. It goes to show he is in this business to help not just to make a profit, this is what a real mechanic should be and it’s very rare to find someone like this.

I had such a positive experience at Mario Busto Auto Repair! I brought my car in after originally being quoted at a dealer for a broken alternator. Mario Auto Repair took a look, and was very honest and trustworthy in telling me that the alternator was actually not broken, and what was wrong was on a smaller scale. Their honesty saved me a lot of money and my car is now good as new! I will definitely be coming back in the future for any car maintenance I need.
