They replaced the part but didn’t reconnect the electrical system correctly. They think I don’t know what I’m talking about because I’m a woman, but this is the THIRD time I’ve had this problem and I know what’s what. I was trying to save money by avoiding the dealership, I should have just gone there to make sure it got done correctly by honest people. Edited to Add: they were very kind to have a second look. There are some things that the dealership has to fix (with VW, that’s common). I appreciate their patience in actually walking through the vehicle with me.
