Staff was super friendly and wanted to help out. But, don’t take your Tesla there. They don’t have the knowledge or tools to properly do the work. I paid $180 for them to work on the A/C and it was worse afterwards. I called them and they told me I needed to take it to Tesla. I told them I basically paid for them to make it worse and they weren’t interested in that conversation. I took it to Tesla and they said the system was overcharged and too much coolant was put in.

We have being going here for years with all of our vehicles and I am always so pleased with them. Bryce is amazing as well as the entire team, they are kind, honest, and experienced. We have been to many auto shops but I will never go anywhere else after working with this team. Thank you, and keep doing what you're doing!!

I was stranded in SLC and tried a business there. I was given a massive bill and an attitude. I towed my car to Master AutoTech. I shared my story and then they did everything they could to get the bill where I could afford to fix my car. They gave it a thorough overview and I left feeling my car was safe and an excellent location for future issues. Thanks for a great job and a kind attitude!

Ill be honest I'm not pleased with my experience. It took a full week to diagnose a starter then on top of that 165hr is a high price to pay. Total cost 1,100 for a starter

I took my car in on a Tuesday for a single stripped helicoil repair (spark plug threads). They told me they’d need to keep it for “a couple of days,” which I figured meant two, maybe three tops. After their inspection, they told me my engine oil was dirty – which I knew wasn’t true because I’d just had it changed a week before. They quoted me $650 for the repair, saying that included everything, and promised if the price went up they’d call before doing anything else. Friday comes around with no updates, so I call them. They said they’d call me Saturday to let me know if I’d get my car back that day or Monday. Saturday came and went – no call. Finally, Monday they tell me it’s ready. When I arrive, the total is now almost $700 ($697) because they “had to buy the right spark plug.” I was never told about this extra cost beforehand like they promised. Keep in mind – this was ONE helicoil repair, not all four cylinders. The job took far longer than promised, communication was terrible (zero updates unless I called first), and they never apologized or offered any kind of discount for the delay or lack of communication. Between the inflated cost, misleading timeline, and poor communication, I would not recommend this shop.

These guys are great! I came in for an oil change early Saturday morning and they got me in as quick as they could. They looked over my car and Bryce let me know a couple things I should keep in mind for the future but he wasn’t pushy on anything. I will be coming here for all future car needs!

I brought my car in because the power and acceleration was cutting out. They changed the transmission fluid which was necessary, but I picked my car up the next morning and drove it straight to work. It broke down on the side of the road. I had to get it towed to another automotive shop. They charged out the catalytic converter and it fixed the problem. I was very disappointed.

Went in for oil change and emissions. Shay was very prompt and helpful. Explained everything in detail for me. I even waited in waiting area and felt completely comfortable. I would highly recommend Shay and Master Auto Tech services.

First time customer. Came in for an alignment after replacing some worn out front end parts. Chris got me right in and his guys got it knocked out and driving straight while I waited. Drives like new again. Also got a quote on new tires since I was there and will be needing them replaced soon beat every other quote I have received so far. THIS is the new one stop shop for my family's vehicles. Thanks again Chris and your crew.

They got me in quick and fixed my problem. When I left the church engine light came on after we left and they let me come back and fixed it on the spot. They were prompt and straightforward. I’ll likely go back in the future!

The South Ogden Master Auto tech is actually been my location of choice for several years. Recently however there has been some change in employees or maybe procedures. And maybe it's just a level of more training needs to be done or procedures need to be dialed in. But it has impacted my experience and not in a good way. I still currently bring my car there but I've been debating and on the fence about whether or not to find a new place to go and that actually breaks my heart because there are handful of guys there that have known my car known its history and know me and my standard of care and I am watching them feel like they can't provide proper customer service because of whatever changes have happened. And I do want to clarify that proper customer service doesn't mean the customer is taking advantage and it doesn't mean that an employee is taking advantage by this I actually mean the way they treat and behave towards the customer and the care that they take for their vehicle. I'm actually really sad by whatever changes have happened. Because the level of me feels like I need to now leave some family group that I really built a relationship with and I genuinely care about but I also care about my car. And unfortunately that trust is now starting to erode.

These guys are amazing! They provided a free diagnostic and was honest with the result hoping to build trust. I thought it was refreshing and a great way to do business. I ended up bringing my car back to them for fixing.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Master AutoTech in South Ogden. We chose this shop because it’s close to our home, but that convenience quickly turned into frustration. We brought our vehicle in due to a service light and a suspected transmission issue or misfire—we weren’t sure which, since we’re not mechanics. After running diagnostics, the shop found two codes, both indicating a transmission problem. Instead of addressing those issues, they recommended and sold us a $1,500 tune-up, promising it would resolve everything. We dropped off our car on a Wednesday and were told it would be ready by Friday. Friday came and went—nothing was done. I figured mistakes happen, so I waited. The car was finally “ready” on Monday. By Wednesday, the check engine light was back on. Again, I thought maybe it was a simple oversight. Wanting to get it fixed, my wife got up early and dropped the car off right at opening, 7:30 AM. Despite being there first thing, we were told they were backed up and that they’d get to it when they could—no ride offered, no real apology, just indifference. So far, this has been a completely negative experience. Not only did they fail to address the actual transmission codes, but the expensive tune-up didn’t fix the problem. Communication and customer service have been lacking, and the delays are unacceptable. What really sealed our dissatisfaction was discovering a random engine cover tossed in the back of our truck—never reinstalled after service. With all these issues adding up, it’s hard to see this as mere oversight. It feels more like incompetence or just a lack of pride in their work. Unless this issue is resolved quickly and appropriately, we will be looking for another shop for all future repairs. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend Master AutoTech in South Ogden based on this experience.

Master Tech has been great with any vehicle we have dropped off there. They are very thorough with their work and provide a detailed courtesy check of regular maintenance. They find the problem and fix it. They are honest and friendly. We won’t take our vehicles anywhere else! Master Tech is top notch!

I am always reluctant to post a negative review, but I've been asked 3 times now, and will share my experience. I took my 2007 Jeep in for a safety inspection as I was planning a solo trip to Moab. I was told there was an oil leak, and valve covers needed replacing. I okayed the work. I got the Jeep back same day and left the next day. While up on a mountain pass, it suddenly felt like I had a flat tire. Pulled off and checked, looked underneath, inspected as best I could when it was dark, and cold. I did have cell signal and called for a tow, which arrived 4 hours later (I got home at 3:30am). Tow truck driver showed me what the issue was. Four of the 5 bolts on right front tire had sheered off, I had one bolt and lug nut left, tire was almost off. Driver said this was usually a result of over tightening lug nuts (beadlock tires). I called the shop the next morning to see if they had removed tires for brake inspection, he said they'd tried removing a tire, but it had a locking nut (they didn't call me) so they just looked thru wheel, and said well, it stopped when they drove it. I assume an impact wrench was used to put the other nuts back on, which damaged the bolts and led to their shearing off. He offered to check it and inspect everything, and repair as necessary - not free - but I have not confidence in their services. I went in asking for a safety inspection. Huge fail, especially in communication. But engine is running fine.

Needed an exhaust hanger on my Nephews 2010 Camaro SS. The exhaust was bouncing on the crossmember. The Techs designed a “ape hanger and mount that was simple and works great. They got it done fast and for a cheap price. Very professional experience!

Chris the manager helped me at the front desk and was very helpful and informative. I just walked in and they fit me into their busy schedule that afternoon. Was able to get car diagnosed and thankfully it was a just a bad battery so they were able to get the correct battery there quickly and replaced for a reasonable price. I looked up prices at auto part stores and seemed like they weren’t doing it for much more than just the cost of the battery. 10/10 would go again.
