My vehicle was making a bad grinding noise whenever the engine was running. The guys at Master Mechanic Kevin and Tanner took the notes down and the technician found that my Idler pully had a bad bearing they where able to have it all fixed the same day at a very fair price. I love there night drop you fill out a envelope and slide it into the building then you get a call in the morning. We always leave feeling good they treat me with respect and are really friendly. I started using Master Mechanic a few years ago after being very unhappy with my mechanic who had misdiagnosed my car. When I went to Master Mechanic they were able to diagnose and fix my problem the first time. They also had a great warranty on their work. Since that first visit I don't trust anyone else with my cars-they do my repairs, maintenance, oil services, and tires. The shop is the cleanest auto repair facility I have ever been to and they have a great waiting room! They offer so many great services like giving me a ride to work and drinks/snacks if I wait. They have even offered me a loaner car when I had an emergency and had to drive to Salt Lake that day. My experience with the staff has also been outstanding. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they take the time to make sure I understand what my car needs and why; they have even taken me into the shop to show me how my tires were wobbly because of a bad part. Their pricing has been competitive when I have checked around, plus they have a great warranty. I've only had to use their warranty once, but they got my car in quickly and took care of the problem-no hassles at all. I will continue to use Master Mechanic for all of my cars!

Best shop in the valley in my opinion. I took our Subaru, with a failing engine here. Chase, who I chatted with quite frequently, was extremely honest in what he recommended for me, even if it didn't include his shop getting paid to replace my engine. Honesty is huge in this business. I would even pay double the cost of what they charge, just because of how straight forward they are with you. We didn't end up fixing our engine, because the cost outweighed the life of the car, but without Chase and the entire Master Mechanic staff, I wouldn't have known that. Also, just a tidbit, the cost they gave me to replace the engine, was the best bid by far, they were the fourth shop I had came to. So keep in mind that they do have competitive pricing as well. Would highly recommend! Thank you Chase & the Master Mechanic team, next time I have issues with my car, you'll see me.

Master Mechanic is amazing!!! I have used Master Mechanic for many years. They have worked on various vehicles that I have owned. Most recently a 2001 Chevy Corvette. My vette has some modifications that required some modifications to the wiring to get wires away from some headers. Also I had an oil leak and a faulty ignition switch. Tanner, Kevin, and the crew were absolutely amazing in keeping in contact and providing updates and quotes. I have no apprehension about recommending them for any and all automotive repair needs. Go with confidence that your vehicle is in good hands!!!! Great communication, great work!!! Had a return visit, These guys are nothing if not amazing. Highly recommended!!! I would like to add a follow up. The seal that was replaced failed and the oil leak returned. Tanner and the crew at Master Mechanic took a look, told me the issue was covered under warranty and quickly and effectively changed the seal and had me back on the road. I am very happy with the service and communication from this team. Go with confidence, they will treat you right!!!

Update: I misjudged these guys. Apparently they don't really know what they are doing. I brought my car in four different times for the same problem and whatever they would do would only work for a little bit. I brought my car to a mechanic friend after the last time when it was having more problems and he said that they didn't screw in the tubes and hoses on the manifold correctly and it got lose and caused the same problem as before. I've paid these guys almost $800 to do basically nothing because my car still has the same problems. I even called in to get the invoices so I can pass what has been done on to a new mechanic, and they only had kept records for three different things. They seemed like a good company at first, but beneath the surface, they aren't doing quality work. _______ Took good care of my car. Has a shuttle service and pretty good customer service. I would recommend. It's hard to find trustworthy mechanics but I think these guys are good.

The guys at Master Mechanic are great! My Mom recently made the trek to Cache Valley from AZ and lost the heater somewhere along the way. I called up Kevin and he was able to have me leave it with them and they got her fixed up before she had to leave town. The next day I dropped off my Avalanche with some emissions related issues and told them my budget. They were able to get the required service and some more things done and still keep me right around the price I needed. I know that they don’t have total control over the price as far as what they find and what is needed, but they kept all of our needs in mind as they fixed my vehicle and got us back on the road before the week ended. They are not going to be the cheapest around town but I doubt you will find a better bunch for the price they ask. Recommend to anyone who is looking for honest mechanic work and a pretty unbeatable warranty! PS - thanks for inviting me camping Kevin!

I use them for oil changes. They have a punch card that's a pretty good deal if you also need your tires rotated. I've done five oil changes there and haven't had a problem. It's better if you schedule ahead. I think sometimes there's some confusion with the scheduling sometimes, but no big deal. I would recommend anyone to go there to get an oil change if they are also needing someone to rotate their tires.

Took my 2010 BMW X5 30I here on 04/03/24. Car has 118K on it and like any aging BMW it likes to go through your wallet. Justin was very helpful and patient. Went above and beyond to explain and help. Prices were not bad considering the car and what needs to be done. Gave me ride home while working on my car. Front desk area looked clean and professional. Overall, my impressions of the shop and staff are good. Will be returning a few days later to finalize some work on the car.

I took my car into Master Mechanic because my car all the sudden just started dying. I had no idea what was going on. They are literally just down the road from my house. I stopped in and they were already very busy, but they said they could look at later in the day or the next day. I didn't have an appointment, and to be honest I didn't know I could schedule an appointment until I looked at their website. Waiting for them to fit me in was totally fine. Tanner was helpful and professional while he listened to a non-automotive person try and explain what was going on. The next morning, Tanner called me and said that it was the alternator, and they could get it fixed by the afternoon. They explained everything and gave me my estimate and was able to get it repaired and ready just as he said. When I picked it up there were no unexpected fees or changes. Tanner also explained the warranty for the parts and thanked me for my business. I will definitely take my vehicle there again!

I brought my old truck in for a bunch of different repairs and Kevin kept me up to date on everything that was happening to the vehicle and did not give me one ounce of run-a-round. They worked on the wrong car! Complete lack of professionalism and basic competency. We brought our F150 to this shop to address several mechanical problems, expecting standard professional service. Instead, we were left without our vehicle for over two weeks, dealing with broken promises and a major mistake that showed a complete lack of basic professionalism. Initial Service Period (8 days): - Vehicle dropped off for scheduled appointment - No communication for 4 days until we received the diagnostic call - Took an additional 2 days before being told the truck was ready - Upon pickup, it was immediately apparent that our original issues remained unresolved - The vehicle died in their parking lot as we attempted to leave After returning the disabled vehicle, we were informed the following morning that they had worked on the wrong truck entirely. Our F150's parts and labor had been mistakenly applied to another customer's vehicle. We paid $1500 for repairs that were never performed. Additional Week of Delays (7 more days): - Despite promises that our truck would be their "top priority" and completed "by the following evening," we endured another full week of delays - We were forced to call daily from August 29th through September 3rd just to receive status updates Each call resulted in the same empty promise: completion "by end of day" - Not once did the shop proactively contact us with updates or realistic timelines Management and mechanics showed no initiative in customer communication We went 16 days without our vehicle. The mechanics showed no professionalism in how they handeld the sitiuation and their complete lack of communication was extremely frusterating. Obviously there is a lack of shop management and organizaiton here. No accountability or compensation were offered for their repated failures. We will never take another vehicle here. Update: I took my truck back in to show them the rag and the broken plastics and told them about the truck’s new vibrating noise. They documented it and told me they would call me back that day. I waited five or six days and they never called me back. I then called them on Monday to let them know they never called me back and to remind them of how they returned my truck to me. I told them I couldn’t get the truck in until Wednesday, their exact words, “we’ll just drop it off when you can”. I haven’t been able to get my truck over there and it’s Friday. I started my truck and noticed the heat wasn’t working. Then I noticed smoke coming from under my hood. I popped it and wouldn’t you know the exact same thing happened. Coolant everywhere, coolant pouring out of the bottom of my truck. I took it right over and asked the sales manager what they did to my truck. He immediately got an attitude, said I slammed the door open which I did not, said he recorded my phone calls which is great because what he claimed I said and what they said were completely wrong. I asked what they originally did to my truck just to have it do the exact same thing again and he was an absolute joke, I don’t use that word lightly. He said, “I can’t work with you like this”. I asked “like what?” He said, “this back and forth”. I said, “there has been no back and forth, I want to know what you guys actually did to my truck, why a rag was left plastered on the front of my radiator, why my truck is now vibrating which it’s never done, and why I now have coolant pouring out of my front end. That’s not a back and forth”. He tried to tell me that I refused to bring it in Wednesday and that I had an appointment. I too have that conversation recorded and their exact words were, “get it in when you can and leave it and we’ll get to it”. There was no set time whatsoever. He tried to tell me that I took pictures of the radiator when and sent them to them, I did not. I used the pictures they sent me when they were working on it to point out the discrepancies in what they were claiming about my radiator having a crack in it. My radiator is completely enclosed, I can’t access it without pulling a bunch of covers off. I own a food truck business and I use the truck to pull the massive trailer, I told him I needed it back tomorrow in order to get to a planned event with a bunch of people. He said, “well I can’t control your personal life, it’s probably going to be Monday”. The sales manager has zero customer service care. We have taken several cars to them, I was patient with them delaying my truck by four days the first time they had it. He never called me back when I took it to them to show the rag and the broken plastic covers, he accused me of doing and saying things I never did or said, he did not own anything, he did not take any fault, somehow it was all my fault for not being able to bring it in Wednesday. I recorded all of my conversations and interactions with them just in case something like this happened. I’ve been burned by mechanics before. The sales manager in particular is the issue here. I took my RAM 2500 in because of a bad water pump. After tearing it down to get to it they called and told me that I also needed to replace my radiator because it had a crack in. Long story short, the radiator did not have a crack in it, they claimed they knew where the crack was but lied through their teeth about having found it in the pressure test. I had them replace just the water pump and now when I step on the gas my entire 2023 RAM shakes and makes a terrible noise. They were also going to charge me $276 for gaskets they said they replaced but never did until I asked them specifically if they replaced them. Very dishonest people and clearly they caused another problem that did not exist before. Stay away from this place. And then I found that they left a rag in front of my radiator between the grill. And all of the plastic covers around the radiator and fan underneath are busted off. These guys are something else, DO NOT BEING YOUR VEHICLE HERE.
