They were great! I had taken my car to a dealership 5 times over several months which cost about $850 with no resolution to the problem and was told to just invest in a new car. At mechanics direct, they were able to identify the problem quickly to get it fixed with a few extras like changing out the battery on my key. They were great. Highly recommended.

They did an overall assessment of my vehicle to help me determine if it was time for me to turn this vehicle in for another. I have put a lot of money into this car already at the 2010 Subaru Forester. They were very nice, professional, and patient. They gave me their true opinion and my options. We have been taking our cars to Mechanics Direct for over 20 years. Mitchell, the owner, is extremely honest and competent and he has trained his staff to give the exact same service. He will tell you, you don’t need something done right away, he always does his best to keep the price down. He has even given us loaner cars, hooked us up with a rental, gotten us inspection stickers and windshields, etc. They always go above and beyond and do a great job.

I have owned 10 vehicles in the past 55 years and I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism at Mechanics Direct. I brought my 2009 Saturn Aura XR for a drain issue they told me that they would have to make the parts because Saturns are no longer manufactured. I am so happy that they fixed the drain problem and warrantied the repair for 3 years. I liked the fact that they explained everything in detail what they found and how they repaired the drains. I had gone to several GM dealers prior to going to Mechanics Direct and was told it would take 3 days to repair because they would have to assess the problem and have to wait for parts. Mechanics Direct fixed my car in one day for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this repair shop I will definitely go back for future repairs.

This place is wonderful! Not only was I able to drop off my car quickly, they gave me a free loaner car so that I could continue my day as I needed. Their customer service is wonderful, the diagnostic was free and repairs were quick but done well. I greatly appreciated the fact that they walk through all the problems your car has with you, accompanied by pictures and videos of what they're talking about. The icing on the cake was that I was able to bring a list of repairs that my dealership said I needed. Apparently, all the repairs the dealership said I needed were false. This places saved me over $2000. For the repairs I actually needed, Mechanics Direct gave me more than fair prices. In general, I can't say enough positive things about my experience here. I'll definitely be going back if my car has any issues.

I bring my cars here occasionally and these guys at Mechanics Direct always do an outstanding job. They are pricey but you get what you pay for. I feel like my cars run like new after getting it back every time and the loaner car service make it so convenient. I highly recommend these guys if you want service done right to your automobile. This is one of the best mechanic shops in the Merrimac Valley. They are attentive during the initial appointment, listen to all your concerns about your car. Mechanics Direct will be throrough and honest with their diagnostics, and are always very honest with estimation prices. In 4 years I have had my A/C, Brakes, Damaged rim, and door locking mechanism fixed by them, and my Subaru drives like its day one. These guys are doctors for your automobile and you will leave very happy with their work.

I had a great experience with mechanics direct. Mitch had the patience to listen to all the concerns I had with my vehicle. He was transparent about everything, patient and punctual. The work was properly completed, addressing all of my concerns within the time that was promised. They even had a loaner car for me to take while repairs were being performed. If you want dealership quality work without paying dealership prices, then this is a great place for your vehicle. The staff is friendly and passionate about what they do. Mich and his team is phenomenal! I had a car gifted to me that been sitting in the driveway for years without starting. It's a 2004 Acura RL and I was specifically looking for a mechanic that specializes it. They was able to get it started up and running. When my daughter went halfway across the country to attend UML, she took one of our older Toyotas. Of course I was concerned how it would serve her without me there to take care of it. I'm so glad we found the team at Mechanics Direct. For five years they have provided outstanding maintenance & repair for this high mileage, reliable Rav4. Although my daughter understands her car care, she liked having me involved and the professionals at Mechanics Direct were always cheerfully willing to "talk with Dad" even though that often meant explaining things twice. Brought in my 2015 Mercedes Benz SUV to diagnose a check engine light and leak. I was charged $850 simply to tell me what the issue was with no repair. More than the dealership charges. When I picked up my vehicle it is now shifting (automatic) horribly and will not accelerate. This has never happened since I owned the vehicle (10 years) and certainly was not when I brought it in. It is also unrelated to the check engine issue. I called to ask what happened and never received a return call. I paid $850 to Mechanics Direct and my vehicle is now in significantly worse shape and not drivable.. My vehicle needs a few major repairs which is not their fault but this new issue happened while in their custody and they never called me back to tell me what they did which they said they would. I was hoping to find a good local mechanic as an alternative to going to the dealership. Very disappointed.
