LITERALLY THE BEST CAR SERVICE EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. From the moment I walked in, every single employee was so kind, helpful, and reassuring. They were also super efficient (fixing my car in ONE day). They also made me smile and laugh during a time when I was very stressed about my car. I couldn’t love their service and their employees more! If you go into the store on Gulf to Bay and speak with Lisa, she will make your entire day!

Came in for a brake job in the afternoon, Hank was a fantastic attendant. He explained everything very well, and even stayed over an hour past closing to make sure my car was done same day. They did the work on my car very fast and even rotated my tires for free. This shop has great customer service and they really care about safety. Will definitely return here for future maintenance and highly recommend Meineke.

Great experience here! They were professional and honest, they didn't try to sell me on any unnecessary repairs or waste my time.

I came to change braking pads on 2436 Gulf to Bay Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33765. I explained that I need the car tomorrow for work and asked are you sure you will be able to make today ? The "owner" Taylor said yes it will take 2 hours. I left my car at 1pm on 05/09/24 and when time was 4:30pm I still didn't get any call from the shop. When I called by myself and they said me that they're having problems to change my pads. Taylor said they can't open rear brakes and will try to do manually. I asked if they can not do it today I will come to pick up my car, because I need it tomorrow for work and Taylor start screaming at me. He said that it's impossible the brakes disassembled and we'll start working tomorrow morning on it again. I came to the shop in the morning and they were able to change the pads at 10am. instead of 2 hours it took them 6-7 hours. After they changed pads I got an error " Electrical Parking Brake Malfunction" They broke parking brake …

In April, I brought my car to Meineke in Clearwater to recharge the AC. They told me it was probably a leak, which made sense. By June, the AC light was blinking again, and Meineke diagnosed it correctly as a valve leak, quoting me just under $300 for the repair. Yesterday, I went back after to have that exact repair done after I was told on the phone they would honor the quote I received. Instead, the front desk guy Chris, told me they would need to take another look as the guys that originally diagnosed had been fired. Immediately my guard is up when they tell me this. I know better than to trust an added cost before they even open the hood. After about 20 minutes he came in and told me my compressor was “completely shot,” never kicked on, and that the system was “completely full of Freon.” Then he handed me a $1,600 estimate. Here’s the truth: the compressor does kick on. And the system was not full — the second mechanic I went to topped it off and fixed the actual problem in minutes. It was exactly what Meineke had already diagnosed in June: a loose valve. That repair cost me $50. My AC now works perfectly. What makes this worse is that the Meineke rep looked me in the eye and told me there was “no way” I’d find a quote lower than $1,600, trying to convince me not to bother with a second opinion. While all of the communication was kind, it was clear what was happening as soon as I said I absolutely needed to get a second opinion. He even claimed their June employees were fired for “stealing,” which makes no sense — because those “fired” employees are the ones who gave me the correct $300 valve diagnosis. Meanwhile, he tried to rob me for $1,600. This wasn’t a mistake. They lied, then doubled down to pressure me into overpaying. It’s predatory, insulting, and absolutely gross to treat people like they won’t know any better. I’ll never step foot in a Meineke again. I’ve attached my original quote that clearly states a valve replacement is necessary. That is the exact repair I just had done this morning after Meineke lied and told me it was the compressor :)

When your AC acts up in this FL heat it’s great to find someone who can look at your car quickly. This was my first time using them and it was a great experience. I knew my brakes also needed to be replaced and they worked up a great price to get me back on the road quickly and safely.

Owner you were in the parking lot well for one your business never stays open till close because you don’t have enough business. For two you’re out in the parking lot watching your employees whip out of the parking lot and open throttle down with 25 mile an hour road where everybody’s coming home from work and people are walking their dogs and the elderly are out walking in their family neighborhood. You said you respected the community that your shop was in show that respect slow your employees down before a bad accident happens and they kill somebody.

Absolutely terrible. Came in early and asked them to check a light on my car they said they could do that and had plenty of time. They not only did not check my car at all they closed early and locked my keys inside the building and didn’t call. Came in the next day to just pick it up and take it somewhere else and they were beyond rude telling me “This is America sweetheart get used to it”. I would recommend going literally anywhere else but here.

I sent an email yesterday to complain about your service. My CHANGE OIL SOON light is still on my dashboard! There is also no sticker anywhere with the mileage Ion the car at the time of the change. Are you the only company who doesn't do this? Not impressed. I will never use your service again!

If you are the female be aware and prepared to get overcharged!!! Way overpriced labor rate (charge me $189.99 per hour for labor). Charge double price on parts - Alternator and Battery (which I verified at Auto Zone that they get there parts from). When they can add more charges like shop supplies and convenience fee they will (charged me $75 in shop supplies and $35 in convenience fee)!

All that was done was the inspection of AC system. After talking to my warantee company, Chris called to inform me the car had to be taken to previous shop to deal with faulty compressor. He did let me know that another component had failed and the price on that (and that it wasnt covered by warantee). Chris is honest and professional. I appreciated that very much and will be returning for future repairs when needed. Much Thanks to Chris and his staff!

This place has changed for the worse. Where once I would give the 5 stars for both customer service and the actual work. Now to learn that, the guy I am used to "Hank" retired, along with most of the techs, and his replacement is very unprofessional all the way around. I am not recommending this store anymore to my friends and family. Not only did the technician mis-diagnosed my car, he was very novice when it came to the work, and needed lots of instruction. Work was overpriced. The front desk guy had his dogs in the office with him, eating, watching Netflix at max volume all behind the counter. I did have to go to another location to check the work, and come to find out he made some serious mistakes. I suggest if you need repair work, please go to the Tampa Dale Mabry location, Gulfport, or Brandon locations for anything needed.

This place is absolutely amazing, since the new team has came in and seeing the changes of how it looks and, how things are done is absolutely stunning! This group truly took time in cleaning up the place, making it look great for their customers, adding tv with Netflix even got to recommend something I wanted to watch. This place has hard working people who are dedicated to finding a solution to your problem and trying to give you a good price as well! Keep up the good work guys

Came in for an alignment on my car, told me they could do me a good deal if I payed cash. I had purchased new tires that day and was in need of an alignment desperately but somehow someway they made my alignment worse.... After driving it for 30 seconds the wheel was angled to the left and the car was pulling hard to the right. I went back and spoke w the tech who told me my tie rods were bad, and that my suspension was too messed up for him to align it. Keep in mind before that morning when I got new tires the car went perfectly straight down the road so I knew the tech was full of it. You can also see in other reviews this isn't the first time he's told this story. After explaining it was worse than it was before I asked if he could print out the alignment sheet so I could see it, he proceeded to pull out the oldest trick in the book saying the printer was broken. Place is a joke and a waste of time, spent money for literally nothing but excuses and a worse alignment. Went to Tires Plus right after and they made it perfect again. Don't waste your money here and get scammed like I did. Oh yeah by the way couldn't get my money back either, guy clearly needed it more than I did.

I came in because my car was stalling. I told the manager at the front desk. He immediately said “ you need a tune up”. He didn’t check anything else and proceeded to get the tune up done. I waited there and he says “ ok you’re good”. He didn’t explain much and I left. The next day my car stalls again in the middle of the road. Luckily I was able restart the car and get home. I took it to another mechanic and he said it was a fuel sensor and/ or maybe the fuel pump is bad. I do believe I needed the tune up for sure. It’s just the initial problem wasn’t solved. I do believe they gave me a fair price for the tune up. But I was scared and upset when the car died again. I will not be coming back.

The new owner and mechanic were great! They just took over the location. I have been there twice for different things on a new used car. Both times everyone was amazing! Once for a battery the day we got the car. Harder install then auto parts stores can do. The other was to check fluids before a longer drive. Not used to multiple radiator reservoirs on a car. The shop seems fairly priced. It also was clean and comfortable. They also don't talk down to you like some other shops. Which is great. Much appreciated in fact. I hope to continue doing business with this location and staff.
