Few $ more than I thought but quick in n out Edit: from five stars to one because they didn't put my lug nuts on tightly and my tire could have flown off on the highway at any time. Heard a rubbing sound for a few days, stopped at another shop and they tightened it and told me how lucky I am that I didn't get seriously hurt.

So thankful for the professionals at this shop! When I had a car emergency in OP (not where I live), even though they were booked up, they took me in and helped me out. They even stayed late to finish the job. Definitely will recommend! Special thanks to Sean and Jon for taking care of me. You guys are awesome!

I went to the shop for the first time this week. Even as a new customer, the manager, Martel Stewart, made every effort to solve my problem as simply and quickly as possible. A fellow customer shared total service satisfaction for over three years, and a brief contact with a shop person convinced me that I had found a very good resource for further car work I might need.

Our visit to Meineke was outstanding. They accomplished what multiple other shops could not. As a fleet vehicle serving the city by fixing road conditions, we encountered a problem with our high-tech van that required the expertise of a master mechanic. Jay at Meineke stepped up when others deemed it "too complex" or "too much to handle." Jay's depth of knowledge was apparent even before he looked at our vehicle. He accurately explained everything from the power supply to the batteries and figured out the equipment configurations without hesitation. Jay completed the repair in less than 8 hours, a task that would have taken other shops days to finish. This is what real, top-notch mechanic work looks like. Additionally, the manager, Shawn, was excellent. He kept us informed throughout the entire process with regular calls and emails, showing great patience and respect. Over the years, we've visited many automotive shops across different states, but this Meineke has truly demonstrated what auto repair should be.

I should have heeded the warning of those whom voiced their concerns and negative experiences with this location. To save you a long read, I will summarize. I brought my vehicle in for a specific issue and left with a $1200 + bill that did not marginally address the issue I brought it in for. When seeking assistance from management, I was blocked from communicating with them and was told I would receive a phone call that never came. The financial loss during the holidays is tough but the lack of principal and service is even more painful in my opinion. I called multiple times, contacted corporate, filed two lengthy complaints and still no resolution. Hoping this review will save at least one person the burden I’m currently going through.

I went in due to transmission trouble on my admittedly older car, and unfortunately had to get it replaced in November. When I took it in, I also asked them to replace one of my headlights. When I get my car back, it stalls out if I brake too hard or sometimes will randomly decide to stall out when coming to a stop, and they didn't actually replace the headlight. I couldn't take it back in due to illness. But the transmission they sold me had a one-year warranty. Until one day in January (about 2 months later) I felt my car jump, and the transmission was stuck in 3rd gear, and the check engine light came on. the original problem that caused me to bring it in the first time. I dropped my car off Tuesday or Wednesday of MLK week. It's now three weeks later, and I still haven't gotten it back. They spent a week trying to figure out what was wrong with the car and getting it to replicate stalling out. IDK why they needed to do that, because when I originally brought it in they told me they look into the car's computer and it told them the error that my original transmission suffered. The one they sold me did the exact same thing, but I guess they didn't want to do that. So they spent a week trying to figure out what went wrong. After a week of driving it around to try and replicate the problem, I am told there is moisture or something in the transmission (I am not a mechanic, IDK if they were BSing me or telling the truth) and that it would be ready Friday. (this all took two weeks). Come Saturday I call, and I'm told the transmission is dying (which was a concern I brought up when they showed me the original invoice: my car had 130K+ miles on it, and they installed a transmission that the invoice states had 120K+ miles on it. I was told it really only had 60-70K miles on it, but I don't think that's true) Then I'm told they'll have to go through whoever they bought the transmission from, get a replacement, etc., Fast forward to this week (2/3/25). I call on Monday, and they haven't started. But they have the replacement transmission. I am told (through text messages that I kept) "We will have it installed Wednesday for you and I will call you when complete." Wednesday evening, I call asking if I can come pick it up. From the conversation I had with the mechanic, it doesn't even sound like they started on it. I ask if the car will be completed this week, to which I am told "Yes" and that they would give me a call back Thursday about it. When I brought up how I'm having to Uber for work, or groceries, I'm told I can't get anything for that "Due to the fact that we are losing money on this as well". But at least I got that 0% financing for the repair job. At this rate, I'm hoping I'll get my car back by March. But if they manage to get it back to me before spring rolls around, I'll update this review.

I don’t have time to write reviews so I never do but if I could save even one person from being scammed by this Meineke than I will consider this review worth my time. I truthfully do not know how this place hasn’t went out of business yet. Especially after seeing the other reviews on here where customers had the same experience as we did. They “diagnose” your car and they tell you what needs to be replaced/repaired to fix the problem. You then pay them thousands of dollars and when you pick your car up and drive it home, you realize that the problem was never actually fixed. You’ll bring your car back in and they’ll act determined to find out “what else is going on” as if by some strange irony you broke something else on your short drive home and it isn’t that they didn’t just fix the problem that you brought it in there to begin with. Then they’ll tell you to pay more money, to buy more parts, to fix the same problem over and over again, never actually fixing it. When you FINALLY become rightfully upset and lose patience, they’ll gaslight you and tell you that they will not stand there and be yelled at. They have ZERO customer service skills once they get your money. They also will not put parts back in your car. They’ll lose parts that they had to remove to do the work and then not put the parts back on after. Even a simple brake job, they cannot seem to get right. I would’ve been so much better off had I never even brought my car into them and I wish I hadn’t. Run! Please run as far as you can away from this mechanic shop. Save yourself the headache. Trust me, I’m a doctor and if I made simple mistakes like this business did everyday, a bunch of people would die. They should treat every persons car the same way I would treat a patient. But they are extremely crooked people.

I needed to replace the muffler in my car, and after visiting many places (and getting absurd estimates for payment) Meineke was the place that helped out so much, with very reasonable prices. Jeremy and Alex were the ones specifically to help me out, and they were honestly so kind and friendly. My car’s exhaust has been working great :)) highly recommend going there, your car will be in great hands.

Do NOT USE THIS SHOP! We are still without a car (since Tuesday) because they are refusing to fix a mistake they made! We took my son’s jeep in for a diagnostic last week. They “fixed” the right caliper bolt in the rear tire. Within 36 hrs it broke down again! We had to have it re-towed to them. Turns out the bolt was not properly fastened by the technician. They fixed it but would not compensate us for the re-tow and also mentioned they saw a “nail in the tire”. Within 12 hrs of that his right back tire (nearly new condition) was flat. So we headed to Discount Tire. They said there was no nail! But rather a large hole. When we explained the work recently done they agreed the hole most likely caused by bolt slipping out and hitting tire! We go back to Meinke and they are REFUSING to fix the tire! Help! This isn’t right. Now the manager is stating he needs to call the owner! And we’re still without a car!

I don’t normally do this, but if I could give zero stars, I would. Went yesterday with an appointment for a simple oil change, waited two hours, and they didn’t get to my car. I had other appointments, so I told them to just give me my keys back. The manager asked me to come back today and he’d give me the oil change for $39.99. I agreed and we set another appointment. The next day, it somehow took them 2.5 hours to get me out of there. I listened to the manager argue with his customers and staff the whole time I was there. Very unprofessional. To top it off, the manager tried to charge me more than the agreed upon price. When I finally got to my car, I notice that my hood was propped open. Apparently someone left a lug nut in there. I’ve honestly never experienced any thing like this before. Safe to say that I will never go back to this place again. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else!

I had the best experience today. Went in to have the thermostat looked at and they gave me a price quote that included tax and any fees which no mechanic has ever done. Then they said they could get the parts in and have it fixed in less than 2 hours. I wasn’t expecting to get it fixed that quick but it was so fast and easy. They also found a problem the dealership missed and fixed it too. Definitely the best experience I’ve ever had dealing with my car.

This location recently got a new manager, Mike, and they're doing a great job now. I needed tires installed on 4.5 inch wide rims for a vintage VW Beetle, and had initially ordered them from the Walmart just down the street to have those guys install them. Walmart called me later to tell me their machine couldn't do it as the minimum wheel width was 5 inches. That was nobody's fault as the rims are essentially a niche non-standard size today, but the problem I encountered there was that they told me all of my tires would fit, and the back two absolutely did not fit on them. Walmart was also extremely rude. Meineke discovered that these tires wouldn't work for me, and they've been extremely flexible holding onto my rims for me while I waited for replacement rear tires to come in. They were extremely knowledgable, very polite, took care of my wheels and didn't scratch them up, and pretty comparable despite having better equipment and people than Walmart. If you want a mediocre-at-best job done, go to Walmart, but if you want it done right, go to this Meineke location. They'll treat you right.

Great customer service from start to finish. I had a small laundry list of things I wanted done and they took care of all of them in a very timely manner. I had a complete brake job done with four new rotors, two calipers and brakes, and a flush of the system. I also had, tie rods, sway bar links front and back. I also had them clean the fuel system. They flushed and replaced my power steering fluid system. The service tech Jean went above and beyond to take care of my vehicle. He made sure to go over all the work completed. Thank you Meineke for taking care of my vehicle to keep me safe on the road.

Yikes. I brought my car in last summer when the AC stopped working. They diagnosed it as a failed compressor and quoted me $1,453 to replace it. Pricey, but I needed AC, so I approved the repair. A few weeks later, the AC failed again. I brought it back, and they told me the new compressor had failed (odd). Thankfully it was under warranty, so they replaced it at no charge. This was in the fall, just as AC season ended. Fast forward to spring, the first time I try the AC again, it’s blowing warm air. I bring it back in (also needed brake work) and after a few days, the AC is still not working. I return yet again, and this time they quote me $860.93 to repair the AC suction line and recharge the system, which would bring my total cost to $2,615.02. At this point, I’m taking my car elsewhere, something I wish I’d done from the beginning. Horrible experience- 10/10 would not recommend.

This Meineke is the worst to trust any service to not even an oil change. They give you the cheapest oil. If your car needs a synthetic they’ll put cheap oil and send you on your way. They broke my oil filter cap. Changed my oil twice to fake it. Do not give trust them with even your wheelbarrow. I am talking to corporate minieke to try to resolve. DO NOT REPLY TO ME WITH A MESSAGE to contact you to try to resolve. I’ve contacted you already and you have my number.

I scheduled an appointment online for an oil change and received a confirmation. Arrived at the appointment time and was told it wasn’t in the system so they couldn’t help me. I showed the confirmation and was told that they were short handed, so I was out of luck as they didn’t have a slot available to fit me in. Ended up driving 40 minutes round trip on the only day this month I could get this done due to work schedules (hence scheduling an appointment) and got nothing out of it.

After dealing with dealerships and spending thousands on repairs and never getting a straight or true answer on anything, I decided to try Meineke. My first experience here was for my thermostat. Dealer quoted just under $1k to fix but Meineke quoted about $400. They told me that my heater may not work even after replacing but I went ahead with it. The price quoted was the exact price I paid and they were unbelievably fast with the service. This was last year. Fast forward to now, I have been going back here for regular maintenance and have never been dissatisfied. They are always up front with pricing and expectations and the service continues to be extremely fast. Recently I took my car in and was told that it was basically going to become a money pit and that I might want to find something else. They could have just left it and continued to have me paying for repairs but they were honest. I was doing the car buying process alone and they were kind enough to let me bring almost every car I test drove into the shop to inspect and tell me if I should buy it. They let me come back and see what they saw and made the whole experience so easy. Again, they did not have to do that, it is in the best interest of the business for me to buy a car that needs work but that is not the kind of people they are. I have never experienced such honesty and integrity from a business. These men are so kind and personable, I will never go to another shop. If you want a mechanic you can trust, choose this one!!

I've been meaning to leave a review on this place for some time. Wanted to thank them profoundly for their fast service, excellent attitude, and knowledge base last time I came here to get my oil change and timing issues looked at last year. Appreciate all the hard work, strongly recommended!

Thursday, i called about making an appointment, to have a car I had purchased, checked! I called a few auto shops, and God the Father led me to the right one! The man who took my call was very pleasant, and so the next day, I would take my car to Overland Park! I dealt with Mr Danny and Mr. Matt, true gentlemen! My mother was very impressed (who is not easily impressed). Honest, Straight forward, accommodating, and above and beyond service! The car I purchased had a major engine problem (that they discovered), where it is burning the oil and the antifreeze! The people I bought it from, I am very surprised they did not catch this issue! I was smelling burning the first and second day I drove it! Wednesday I checked the fluids, no antifreeze and no oil! I called and the people provided me a list of people I could call! Meinke is a God-send, I was looking for new mechanics, who where going to care for me: as a customer, care for my vehicle as they would their own, also being honest and trustworthy and transparent, not ones who are going to:lie, cheat, and steal to make a quick buck! My last dealership Olathe Honda were excellent and the man who took of my car was wonderful too! I recommend Mr Matt and Mr Danny, if you are looking for people who are going to care for you and your vehicle!🧐😬

Literally NEEDED an oil change so I gave them a call. I spoke with Ash who was EXTREMELY helpful and got my car serviced in a timely and professional manner. The techs were EXTREMELY knowledgeable and very detailed oriented (the inside of my car was dirt and debris free). I had never visited this location before today BUT the quality of their service, knowledgeable staff/techs, and the service overall definitely has made me a return customer. If you need your car serviced I wouldn't go anywhere else.
