I have been a customer of Metro Honda since 2008. I have brought multiple cars from them and had a good experience until now. The sales department was helpful but the service department did not handle business with integrity and honesty at all. I purchased a new vehicle on August 6, 2025 while my other vehicle was being serviced at Metro Honda in Jersey City, NJ. My only request while purchasing the new vehicle was that my other vehicle be fixed correctly since I have been at the Metro Honda service center on several occasions prior for the same issue they were suppose to fix (check engine light on) so they agreed and fixed the car as I was told with all new parts. I was told by sales and service at Metro Honda that my vehicle was fixed correctly. Now, not even a month later my check engine light comes on again. I go to Metro Honda to follow up and am hit with a bill for $1,200. Even though I have spent about $7,000 in repair cost in the past six months. I will be seeking legal counsel as I feel as though this matter is ethically and legally wrong.

Bad Experience at Metro Honda I had a really disappointing experience with Metro Honda. The customer service was rude and unhelpful, and the staff had a bad attitude the whole time. They didn’t seem to care about helping customers or providing good service. I honestly expected much better from a dealership. Definitely not coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

Terrible experience with Metro Honda Service Center. They reached out to me twice insisting my vehicle had an urgent recall that needed to be taken care of. I rearranged my schedule and brought the car in — only for them to fail to fix anything. No clear answers, no transparency, just excuses and wasted time. If a dealership is going to pressure customers about a recall, the least they can do is deliver on their own commitment. Their communication is chaotic, their service is unreliable, and it feels like they have zero regard for customers. Very disappointing and absolutely not the level of professionalism I expect from a Honda dealer.

I dropped off my car yesterday for the fourth time regarding the same issue, and once again the service department was unable to resolve the problem. Their explanation was that the issue “might be” because the headlight had been replaced a long time ago. I went back, replaced the headlight again, and yet the problem remains exactly the same. When I spoke to the service advisor today, I was told that “your car is good and everything is perfect,” which is simply not true. I was frustrated but decided to just pick up my car before 7 PM. I arrived at 6 PM, only to find out that the advisor I spoke to had already left for the day—and unbelievably, my car keys were locked in his locker. I was told I had to come back at 9:30 AM the next day (or possibly even Monday if he decides not to show up tomorrow). This is absolutely unprofessional. The dealership is very friendly when it comes to selling you a car or signing a lease, but when it comes to service, it feels like you are left stranded. Honestly, even giving them a zero rating feels too generous. Tomorrow I will pick up my car and take it to a professional auto electrician who can hopefully resolve the issue properly—because clearly more experience is needed than what Metro Honda’s service department can provide.

Came in for a recall notice and for a service. Car is a lease . Kenneth was my service advisor and was very professional. Advised him what I came in for and was given a price. I told him I had Honda care to which he replied that it expired 2 months ago. I didn’t know a leased car would have Honda Care expire on it as my experience with Toyota was 2 oil changes and 2 tire rotations. Spoke with the assistant manager Gabe who was very nice a told me he would take care of my oil change and tire rotation. I got a call the vehicle was ready. Came to the dealer and was told it was ready with no paperwork. I insisted on waiting for the paperwork for a paper trail and was told the tires were not rotated. It is not a big deal as I can do it myself but it is the principle. I am a person who has integrity and this is the second time this dealer has let me down. Not to mention my high side air conditioning system cap is now missing. They are the only ones who have ever serviced my vehicle and it’s such a disappointment. This is why I don’t buy my vehicles here and won’t be returning to have my vehicle serviced. Do better Metro Honda. I checked the oil level following the service and it does have new oil. I hope the filter was replaced. I’ll be checking that as well once I get home.

I had such a terrible experience with the dealership I would no recommended to nobody the costumer service was awful... they did not follow through on what they promised. communication was terrible through the process. My car was towed because of their mistakes, and when i asked for an explanation, i was lied to send told that they were never informed, even thought they clearly were. i expected accountability, but instead i was left stressed, inconvenienced and without the support a costumer deserves. I would not recommend shopping here to anyone and if I could return the car I would. My temporary plate was expired October 12th and they promises me the new one was going to be ready days after. Today is October 27 and I still don't have my plate such a irresponsible dealer.

I purchased my car from Metro Honda in 2023, with Premier Insurance covering tires. A few months ago, they replaced a tire with a different brand, and now, the same issue occurred. When I returned, I was told the coverage didn’t apply because of the tire brand mismatch—despite this being their choice. I also had an incomplete service experience—my tire wasn’t fixed, even after being told to pick up the car. The manager, Gabe, did not resolve the issue, and I had to pay out of pocket. I hope higher authorities respond soon.

I received a call stating my car was eligible for a free multi-point inspection and oil change so I happily made an appointment for the following day. I arrived at 10am, was told it shouldn't take long, to wait in the waiting room so I did. 2 hours go by, I received a call in which I had to leave to attend to, so I go to ask the gentleman who initially checked me in how much longer it would take. He proceeds to tell me my car was next to go in. So at this point I had already waited 2 hours and my car wasn't even looked at. He also tells me the oil change wasn't what was scheduled to begin with it was only an inspection, which was opposite of what the female told me on the phone. If I knew it were only for an inspection I wouldn't have even bothered scheduling it. I only needed an oil change and that's why I agreed. So he asks me if I'd like to "add that to the service" like excuse me? Granted he wasn't rude, and I know it's not his fault. He tells me there's only 3 techs working at the moment, with a waiting room filled with people. He should've been more transparent with how long it would've taken to begin with and offered me the option to come back if it was going to take that long. Then I proceed to make a fuss about it because I've always had Toyota cars & NEVERRRRRR had this issue with them. I was always in and out and if it was going to take any longer than 2 hours they'd let me know. They were always very communicative through the entire process and Honda was the complete opposite. So not only did I have to leave with absolutely nothing done to my car but not a single rep came to offer me the choice to come back at another time for the inconvenience. I waited for 2 hours watching as the reps continually came in to speak to the others waiting on how they couldn't do the services they came for because they needed additional things fixed beforehand. I should've known then this place is a scam and just likes to pull money out of their customers and waste their time. Toyota NEVER tried to force additional services on me. I went in and left with exactly what I needed done, and IF there ever were suggestions for other things they weren't pushy about it or in my face with calculations and prices on those services. It's a real disappointment that I have to go out of my way to a local mechanic to now take care of my vehicle. I love my vehicle, but I'll never come to this service center again.

The place is damaging the American Honda’s reputation. My interpretation of making two trips there is that their customer support line makes promises on behalf of the brand while making appointments, and their service department fails to deliver with “I cannot help you”. That there to me is cardinal sin in customer service. The service department blames corporate, blames you, blames their colleagues. My suggestion is do better research and find another place. I will update this review with a better place if I find it. Metro Honda is in prime position to build strong market presence for American Honda in Jersey City area, but instead they’re rubbing their name through mud.

Another great experience at Metro Honda Service department. I came in because I was hearing a sound coming from my driver side front tire. I had Rachel take care of me once again. They found a bolt in my tire which was causing the sound I was hearing. They simply took it out and plugged it. Honest work that didn't require anything new or unnecessary. Rachel is the best. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
