I took my car here for service and I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else!! I love that everyone is really nice and respectful… if you don’t know anything about your car and you don’t want to get taken advantage of, this is the place to go. The women Stacy and Carolina are very welcoming. My car was serviced by Ryan and he told me my next main repair on my car. Stacy gave me a really good deal too… 10/10 Recommended.

I had a horrible experience. I did some suspension worrks and went there for a tire alignment. The lady at reception said it will cost 125 dollar plus tax, and tire rotation costs 10 dollar more. So I agreed. Then at the bill I saw I was charged 13 dollars more as "misc shop item charge". The lady at the reception mentioned nothing about this before. Then they gave me the "complementary vehicle inspection report" about my wiper blade, air filter etc. I asked them about the tire alignment report, they said their device is so "sophisticated" and "state of the art" that it doesn’t print any report. I feel like my hard earned 160 dollars just went in vain. Pep boys, or maybe scam boys. Never going to visit them again

The absolute worst introduction to service I have ever experienced. I walked in for my scheduled appointment to find two male employees behind the check-in/computer station and was met with silence. Neither of the employees greeted when I walked in. Minutes passed before I finally stepped forward, one of the men asked for my phone number (to connect to my appointment), as I was reading the number off, he asked me to speak louder which is understandable except for the fact that he had an earbud in the whole time. Maybe he could’ve heard me better if the earbud was not in during his shift. After reading off my number, he found the appointment and again silence, no acknowledgement of how to proceed. As I stood there waiting again without any sense of urgency from the employee, a phone call came in from a customer and the employee answered the phone on speaker without addressing my appointment. I am now listening to the customer and employee talking in detail about the services they customer needed. At this point I was completely fed up and walked out. Such a shame I could not complete my service and was met with poor customer service.

I needed a new tire in a emergency. My tire blew on the highway, and the spare was pretty soft. I have a far commute, and couldn't trust the spare. The staff at this location took my car in immediately, and, instead of needing to uber to work and pick the car up after, they assured me it would be done quickly. They delivered, and I was shortly back on my way.

I did not feel that I was treated properly. I was told the service will take 2.5hrs and they would call me to update after inspection. But even after almost 4 hours, I did not receive any call. So i called and asked and i was told :it would take 20 min". When i went there, they said additional 20 min but it took over 30 min. When i complained to the associate she almost tried to deny their fault and told me that she didnt not see me at my appointment time. I asked about the inspection and she that it will be done after tires are done. So I lost my patience and told them to just the tires done and thats it. Over 5 hours for 4 tires, really? Then the other associate came and apologized and I was told that I would get additional discount for the inconvenience, but no coupon applied because i had already received a discount on tires. Ridiculous! And on my reciept, it stated the car inspection was done but itwasnt done ... meaning the lady didnt tell the other guy about it when he was checking me out. So I paid for 4 tires and suffered extreme inconvenience. And no discoust. I found the workers here- unprofessional

I’m very disappointed with the lack of professionalism at this Pep Boys location, especially from management (Juwon). My oil change appointment was rescheduled multiple times, and when I finally arrived for the time they assigned, the manager had given it away to a walk‑in. It showed zero respect for my time and no accountability for their own scheduling. This kind of disorganization and dismissive attitude from a manager is unacceptable and has completely lost my confidence in this location.

If I could give this location a lower rating, I would. I’ve been to this Pep Boys three times in the past two months. The first visit was for a wheel alignment that was done incorrectly. I went back for a recheck, waited for two hours, and ended up leaving after being told to come back with an appointment next time for faster service. So, I did exactly that — I made an appointment for 12:30 PM and even arrived early at 12 PM to check in. When I got there, I was greeted by a disrespectful attendant who ignored us for quite some time. As he was speaking to us, he kept picking up phone calls and staying on the phone for 15 minutes at a time, completely disregarding us. Once we were finally checked in, we waited for about three hours in a freezing waiting area — even the employees were wearing coats indoors. During that time, I was repeatedly told, “Your car is next.” When they eventually took my car in, the check itself took only about 20–30 minutes. The only respectful person there was the mechanic, who actually took the time to speak with us and provide an update. He told us to take our paperwork to the front desk to get an estimate for the recommended maintenance. When I went to speak to the attendant — Adrian — and asked for the estimate, he repeatedly asked us to step aside so he could help other customers. I agreed the first time, but when he did it again — and then a third time — I became frustrated. I told him, “I’ve been waiting nearly four hours for a wheel alignment check — just a check — with an appointment. And you keep taking people and pushing me to the side, how is that okay?” Instead of addressing my concern, I was further disrespected — not only by the attendant but also by a customer who cut in line, insulted me, and stood uncomfortably close. I had already wasted enough time at Pep Boys. I was only waiting for an estimate so I could leave, but I was pushed aside and treated as if I didn’t deserve the same respect or attention as everyone else. My understanding of customer service is simple: when you’re helping a customer, you finish with that customer before moving on to the next. You don’t speak over them, dismiss them, or skip others ahead. At that point, I’d had enough. I asked for my keys and car back and requested to speak with a manager. I was told, “I don’t know where the manager is — maybe on lunch. I can give you the number to corporate if you want to file a complaint,” in the most dismissive and inconsiderate tone imaginable. I will not be returning to Pep Boys. The treatment I received was unacceptable — the employees were unprofessional, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer service. I have already contacted corporate and filed a complaint, and I was given a claim number. We’ll see how that goes.

I went to Pep Boys for a simple oil change—something that normally takes about 15 minutes. I called ahead and was told I could come in, but there would be a 2-hour wait. I waited over 5 hours in total, and still no work was done on my car. After waiting more than 2 hours, I asked for an update and was told they only had one worker who was already handling two other cars. Later, Tatyana at the front desk told me there was an issue with my drain plug and they needed a part from Bayonne, which is only 2 miles away. She said it would take another 2 hours, and was extremely rude when I asked for a status update. I explained that I had to leave for work by 2 PM, but it didn’t seem to matter to them at all. When I finally got my car back, I was shocked to find that they had removed the engine splash shield and never reinstalled it, leaving it damaged and in worse condition than when I arrived. So after wasting my entire morning, I left with no oil change, a damaged splash shield, and a completely unacceptable experience. Avoid this location at all costs if you expect even the most basic level of professionalism or care.

I had a wonderful experience at this PEP Boys location when my car battery needed replacement. After the battery my car needed was initially not available, they were able to acquire it from a nearby auto shop so they could continue with the replacement. Adrien communicated with me clearly and transparently about costs and the wait time, and Albert also took the time to explain to me the issue with my old battery, educating me about my car and ways to prevent this issue from happening again.
