Left the Tchoupitoula St Walmart with my $150 of groceries to find my vehicle that was NOT in a handicapped spot or fire lane being TOWED. My crime: Parking in the completely empty "online pickup" area because it was raining. We inconvenienced no one. Was extorted $160 "cash only" by a belligerent driver who would not lower my vehicle from the lift until I handed over the cash. My spouse had to physically block him from just driving off with my vehicle because he wanted to punish me for being "rude". If you want people to be nice to you, choose another line of work, sir. Other shoppers' cars were also being towed away (or had already been towed). Will never shop at a store that tows paying customers. Absolutely wild behavior all around.

Got to give Chris and Kirby 5 stars. We had a few issues after we bought a car from them, and they went over and beyond to get everything right. Nice place to do business with.

I have a video where they are scamming people. They lift your car onto a tow truck and then ask you for cash to get it back. It's eobo. They don't report that money to the company.

They towed our family car for no reason. They gave it back to us uncontested. No compensation was offered. No apologies given. Fortunately, they didn’t damage the vehicle. I get it, mistakes are made, but this was a big one. They could have at least apologized.

Customer service is HORRIBLE & They will damage your car! My RUNNING car was towed from an apartment complex and I could not go pick my vehicle up until about 3.5hrs later. Upon arriving at this ‘business,’ I wanted to check my vehicle for damages and they would not let me before I paid… So I paid first & what do you know? There is damage to the front bumper of my car. I asked to speak with the owner & waited for him for about 10 minutes & he never came out until we wanted me to move my car. He was very rude, loud & hostile and threatened to hitch it to the tow truck again and charge me more fees. Aside from physical damage, I also had 4 lights on my dashboard (check engine, Anti braking system, stability control, traction) which were not on prior to the tow and probably due to the car being on during the tow. Once again, I never got to speak with the owner about any of this like I wanted to because his only encounter with me was hostile. Lastly, the employees here have a slave mentality that made me uncomfortable with how they referred to the owner and addressed him.. but if you can avoid, STAY AWAY from here.

This company is operating outside illegal parameters. They present one price ($230) over the phone, then demand another ($330) upon vehicle retrieval. I was assisting a legally blind, disabled individual in inclement weather. The company's practices exploit vulnerable populations. Despite presenting the individual's disability documentation, the company remained focused solely on payment, disregarding the emergency circumstances necessitating the parking violation. Providing my work ID and driver's license to explain who I am and show that I was honest about my situation. This pattern of disregard for extenuating circumstances is consistent across numerous towing incidents. The company demonstrates a complete lack of empathy. In one instance, my brother's vehicle was towed from the same location during a medical emergency, resulting in a tragic outcome due to delayed access to critical care due to the tow of his vehicle. We must prioritize compassion, actively LISTEN to customer explanations, and allow for verification of their claims. Sometimes situations can end good if we are respectful to each other.

Tommy and his team at Mid City Automotive did an awesome job loading up a truck for us. Tommy was very professional and kind. I loved how he proactively offered to go down and check out the unit without any commitment the day before. They were on time and got the job done in a timely manner. Definitely the fellas to call! Thank you. Carmen H.

Towing services are terrible. Idk what they do but they seem to just not care that they messing with somebody’s vehicle. Got my car back from them and now something is wrong with my rear suspension and steering. It rattles and shakes and did not drive like that before. If you looking to pay them to tow ur car, you might as well go with three brothers. Now not only I gotta pay them a fortune, now I gotta see a mechanic. It doesn’t take much to be mindful of other peoples property. I should make an insurance claim against them for damaging my car. Only reason I give 2 stars is because the receptionist lady was super helpful and understanding during the process of getting my car back.

I would give them negative 2 stars if I could. Terrible customer service. Combative front desk person with no answer. Manager nowhere to be found and cant be contacted. I had vehicle stolen and somehow this company "recovered" it and no one contacted me to even let me know until 4 weeks later by mail. They then tried to charge me for storing my stolen vehicle they found. They claim they checked with the police but didn't know it was stolen despite the fact I reported it and have the paperwork to prove it they still refused to release vehicle until I or the city paid them. At time of review I have been trying to get my vehicle back for a week and the story as to what they need changes every day

My partner's car was towed from my apartment complex. Whatever, mistakes were made, and they're doing their (albeit deplorable) job. I was told it would cost around $236 to pick up the car. Absolutely ridiculous pricing, but again, what are you going to do? We get there, go to pay, and the price to pick up the car jumps to nearly $300. "Gate fee", they said, which was never mentioned whatsoever.

They get no damn stars from me!!!!!! I had my toddler with me they wouldn’t let me bring him in while we wait , they were not friendly at all! The also didn’t have a damn ATM which you need to pay the fee but at least have one ! My BF had to walk to the gas station to get cash. I understand the rules for improper parking but have some humanity skills.

Absolutely utterly jaw droppingly atrocious, at best. They hooked and towed my car from the Gentilly Walmart parking lot while I stood right there with my young autistic son and Walmart staff holding the groceries for my trunk. We were parked in a grocery pick up spot waiting for my order to be brought to my car. We had been waiting a while, and I wasn't sure if Walmart had received the message we were there. I tried to call the store but the line was busy. My son was getting upset, and I thought maybe they didn't know we were there, so we walked up to the store to check on our order in person. I didn't want to move my car in case Walmart staff came to our spot with the groceries, since I had already entered the spot number in the app. Walmart told me they would be out shortly so we headed back to my car to wait for the groceries. We were only gone a short moment but in that moment our car was already hooked to the tow truck. The truck must have been sitting there waiting for this opportunity, it was so quick. My autistic son got upset because the tow driver refused to stop hooking up my car, even though by then Walmart staff was standing right next to my car with the groceries to load into my trunk. Clearly, we were parked in that spot to receive those groceries and everyone was telling the driver this. My autistic son started to melt down over our car being taken away, and then the tow driver became threatening, telling me I'd better get control of my son, and the situation began to feel unsafe. It was a scary and terribly upsetting experience. And then he drove off with my car and left us standing there with our groceries.

Our vehicle was wrongfully towed, and the experience with this company was unacceptable from start to finish. The car was towed from private premises while we were legitimate customers, and there is video confirmation from an on-site employee proving our presence at the time. Despite this, the vehicle was still taken, causing unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and financial burden. When attempting to address the situation, there was no accountability, assistance, or empathy offered. This situation should never have occurred, and once proof was available, it should have been handled professionally and promptly. I strongly recommend exercising caution when dealing with this company. Situations like this undermine trust and create avoidable hardship for customers.

🚨SCAM ALERT🚨My only son child drove from St Louis Mo. To surprise me for Christmas. He arrrived Christmas Eve. On Saturday morning @ 10:37 as we were leaving to go to the movies his car was gone. We were informed by a neighbor that his car was towed. I contacted Midcity & was told because he didn’t have a parking pass in his car. I informed the lady he doesn’t live here he’s from out of town & only visiting for the holiday. I also told her the leasing office was closed & I don’t have a vehicle so I never needed a pass. Nor was I expecting my son to surprise me for the holiday. None of that mattered! I had to pay $294.98 to get my son car the break down was ridiculous. Impound storage was $32.50/ Gate fee $62.00 (theirs not a working gate in my complex/fuel charge was $21.48 & Private property tow with repositioning was $179. I was in complete shock. Why wasn’t it towed Wednesday, Thursday or Friday? To be towed at 10:37am & arriving to the impound at 11:08a.m on a Saturday morning is insane! What if he was making a delivery, what if he was simply helping someone take groceries inside. Getting answers from these people is to no avail! I’m definitely reporting this to the BBB & anyone else I need to! Yes I spoke with the leasing office on Monday & they also feel this was insane! It’s sad my son get away was coming to an end he left a day early in fear they would tow his vehicle again! Thanks a lot midcity for ruining my holiday weekend with my son!

Woke up and my car was towed from my apartment complex. Pretty sure my kid who loves to touch everything took down my permit. Calling Santa, don’t worry. Anyway the owner was SO SWEET. Trust me, I hated having to spend $230 to get my car back *but* he was kind and went above and beyond for me, helping put my license plate on my car. And just overall, he was really helpful. I NEVER WANT TO GET TOWED AGAIN, but if it’s through them well OK at least I know they will be helpful and super kind.
