I had my brakes done here a few months ago. I came back today for a tune up. I was not surprised when I received the same professionalism and courtesy I received the first time I was there. If you need anything done to your vehicle, this Midas location will take care of you. Truly, a great example of what a repair shop should be when it prides itself on being part of the service industry.

Sorry guys,,, you seem nice enough but you are just another "nice" car mechanic trying to take advantage of people that don't know much about cars!! Nice to your face while they pick pocket your wallet! Consistently higher priced! I took my car into this place because I was told this guy was honest. I was told that this was the best price they could do,, and they even went as far to tell me they weren't making much on the labor? Well I didn't really have much of a choice because my car wouldn't start so I had to pay the money. After I had it fixed, which is why I gave them 2 stars because they did fix it fast,,I called around and was told basically I paid $200+ more than anyone else,,, wow! I called them back to let them know I did check the prices around town and the guy just said I use factory parts but to make me feel better he would give me a free oil change? ($20 buck maybe?) Well I won't be back needless to say... All I can say is do yourself a favor and call around first.

Very Honest! I had taken my car to a few other local shops that were recommended to me and at each one I felt that I was being lied to about what my car needed. As a women, auto shops think I do not know about my car. But I knew exactly what was wrong with my car. All the other shops I went to tried to sell me everything under the hood. Finally when I landed at Midas, the manager at the front desk was very friendly, and talked to me like we had known each other for years. He gave me two options on fixing my car, one that was just to get it up to safety standards or one that he would do if it was his own personal car. I did not feel like I was getting ripped off. My estimate was not cheap but not over the top expensive either. All the work was done at a reasonable time and correctly. I will defiantly be returning to this shop!! Thank you Midas :)!!

Made an appointment for an oil change, I was asked if I would wait or leave it, I said I'd wait. Arrived on time. After getting my info I was told it would take 2 hours. Shocked, I asked if I was expected to wait there for 2 hours, to which I received the attitude laden retort, "If you can do it faster, do it yourself buddy." I'll never come back here, there's plenty of shops in town, no need to waste your time here either.

UPDATE: I wrote to the Midas website suggested below in the "response from the owner." Midas never replied. I suspect these "responses" to negative Google reviews are just to create the illusion to other readers that the problem is being addressed. ORIGINAL REVIEW: About one day after this Midas shop on Railroad Ave. in Santa Clarita replaced my brakes, the passenger side brake pad on my car came loose and began banging around the tire well while I was driving down the 405 freeway. A sudden extreme grinding and banging began to hammer at the side of my car. I had no idea what was happening, but it was obviously a very dangerous situation with the wheel slamming and gnashing and throwing off shreds of metal. I made it off the freeway and fortunately found another Midas shop within a mile. The owner of that Midas took a look and found that the installer had not properly secured the caliper pin, so when it dropped out in the normal course of driving, the whole brake assembly came loose. He was a nice guy, and offered to call the Midas in my area to back up what happened. I called the Railroad Ave. Midas shop that did the original repair when they opened the next day and spoke to one of the employees, who said he would talk to the owner. The owner of Railroad Ave. Midas did not return my call, but when I finally called again and reached him, he said he was sorry but offered only a pair of oil changes for the mistake. I don't think that's sufficient. It felt like a shrug to me. It just didn't matter to him. He told me they do 17 brake replacements a day. If a mechanic is this sloppy about installing something as important on a car as the brakes, I think they should offer a full refund. (I did not ask for a refund on the other services they undertook.) The owner disagreed and said he spoke to "corporate" and they also said they wouldn't support a refund on the brakes. I had hoped we could resolve this amicably, but given how casually I was dismissed I feel obliged to warn drivers not to take their cars to Midas. Especially if this is how their corporation tells franchise owners to handle such errors. Mistakes do happen, I understand that. But when owners are unwilling to take sufficient responsibility for the danger, inconvenience that carelessness causes customers, it suggests we simply do not matter to them.

I think I've found my new forever mechanics.... Honest, no bs, no sabotage to get you to come spend more money. No pressure decision making. You don't know how much I appreciate it.

I've been bringing my vehicles here since 2018, when I moved back to SoCal and Santa Clarita. I don't take them anywhere else. The few issues I have had with this location were small and easily rectified once I brought them up. Anyone who asks I always recommend these guys and always will. The bad reviews on here seem to be with people who think this is a quick service place (like for an oil change and such). Anyone can do an oil change, these guys are mechanics, so bring a little patience and they will impress you.

My daughter limped in this jip-joint with her older 2010 Ford Fusion. It was leaking coolant . I’m 2000 miles away…. I called, and talked to the service manager. He said it needed cooling repairs, but there “might” be issues with the engine head leaking. I asked him to do a pressure test to see if there was any other problems, because the car was too old to dump thousands of dollars into it. He said, “it couldn’t be done until the hoses and fixtures were repaired first.” And that would be $500! I told him I was a former retired mechanic and I said I didn’t understand why they would make us dump that kind of money first, only to find out the car needed more expensive repairs! He insisted that the hoses needed to be done first. I told him we were towing it to my kids home. The rip-offs charged us $200 to diagnose a leaky hose and put coolant in it! We towed the car to Country Auto in Santa Clarita. They did a pressure test FIRST! There were no other issues, and fixed the car for $400. Save time and money, go to an honest shop like Country Auto!

I took my car in for the front struts to be replaced after the work was done when I drive my vehicle it makes more noise than it ever did before especially when I back up. The quality of work is poor. When I told the manager about it, he gave me a price on how they can fix it. He comes across like it’s all about more making more money. I will find another mechanic.

Jason and his crew are top-notch. They swiftly pinpointed and resolved our car's issue. They truly went above and beyond, avoiding the hard sell on unnecessary items and clearly laying out our choices. We've definitely found our go-to mechanic.

I am very pleased and thankful for Jason and Julian at Midas , over the course of time they have been keeping my Toyota Tacoma P/U running well , and safe and me secure in my truck . I recently brought my truck in for a check up , it was beginning to be quite bumpy and noisy and a few things recently broke , such as a door handle . They checked out my truck noting the things which needed attention , they contacted me and shared with me the issues, I requested them to make and keep my truck sake. After a short time , a day and a half my truck was ready and once again ready to safely drive. I thanked the two men mentioned above and drove my truck home. I must say , that my truck is a 2003 Tacoma, it drives as if it is new , complete change in my driving experience . So comfortable and a tight feeling secure driving truck, it’s simply wonderful that my old truck is like new and secure and safe and handles wonderfully on the road. It’s a pleasure and good feeling , that I can trust Midas .Thank you if you read this, I just wanted to thank Midas and the crew of men in the repair shop. Blessings 🙏✝️

I recently took my car to Midas for a brake replacement, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service. Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and provided clear, helpful information about the work being done. He made me feel confident that my car was in excellent hands. The entire process was smooth, and the team was professional and efficient. I'll definitely be coming back for any future car needs. Highly recommend!

Midas has that golden touch for the following reasons: Julian greets like he is the owner as his compassionate approach to a tired traveler was appreciated. Dylan (the Dr Pepper king) did the hands on brake repair, apparently I almost cooked my goose. The manger Jason tops off my experience with a contagious enthusiasm that actually helps me hand over the cash. Best deal in town but when people treat you like they understand you been through hell & back, well that’s the Midas touch, saved me. Till next time, i am loyal only to this store. 🎸

My daughter had her brakes done there. They did not put all the connectors back in the bottom plastic fairing so that was dragging and rattling. Then, her calipers started to rattle, because they did not tighten the bolts on her calipers. They did fix the rattle, but when I called about it, they told me that they would warranty it, and weren't going to charge her to fix it even though they were the ones that could have caused a horrific accident. But tried to make it look like they were doing her a favor by tightening the bolts on her brakes.

25+ yrs bringing my cars to Midas. Jason and Julian have always been straight with me about what needs to be done. Have had very few issues. As everyone knows it is very difficult to find a good mechanic and when you do find one stick with it. Thanks, Shawn
