I called to see if he could do a motorcycle seat. I specifically asked if he could use Alcantara. He said no and proceeded to argue that Alcantara is the same as suede. Saying that he works with it every day. Use caution if you plan to bring your vehicle here and you want genuine Alcantara, he will not use it.

I have a 2010 mini Cooper convertible whose back window fell away from the convertible canvas top (glass was intact) and my local dealership told me they could not help me with repair. My next option was to take the vehicle to Dallas and replace the entire top for around $6000. Definitely didn’t want to do that so I checked out a Mini convertible Facebook page that I follow and noted that other owners had had this happen and had found ways to do it much cheaper. One suggestion was to use an auto interior installer and have them do the work. I was hopeful that someone around here would be able to do it so I started my search. I came across Midtown Customs Interior Repair and reached out to Victor. I was thankful that he was willing to look at the car and once he checked it out, he assured me that he could do the work for a reasonable price. We set up a date and time for me to drop off the car. Originally he thought he would have it a few days but after dropping it off, he texted me that it was ready within 24 hours! He sent pictures throughout the process and the final result is perfect for a fraction of replacing the whole convertible top. You can’t tell there was ever a problem! (Wanted to include pics but never found the option to choose and upload. 😕)
