I don't trust this place. I had my vette towed here when the clutch got stuck to the floor. At that time there was an understanding that the car would have to be torn down to find the issue, so I told them to call me when the bill went over $1000. Never got a call about the amount and when I called in, they told me they had already done $2300 worth of work and they still didn't know what the issue is nor is the clutch fixed. They wanted another 8 hours of labor to take the car apart a 2nd time. I had the car towed out immediately after this. They replaced my 2 year old battery after the car died in the shop with the hood up. Take note that my vette has 2 lights in the hood that activate when the hood is up. So it makes sense that my battery died after leaving the hood up for 3 days. The one they 'replaced' it with died after not starting my car for 2 weeks, and I've had to have it jumped multiple times. It's not an alternator issue on my end. This place will take advantage of you if they think they can, and they most likely did it because of my age and thought I was clueless about vehicles. These clowns don't renew their ASE certifications, and I won't be back here with any of my 3 vehicles. Take note that they have offered 10% off in the past for posting a positive review. Therefore, I would take the reviews of this place with a grain of salt.

One star since there isn't a ZERO. A Friend's car broke down in front of their business. Someone pushed her car in their lot to get it out of traffic. No one came out, until a good Samaritan stopped to see if she was OK. Who told him to more his car. They may be good mechanics, but are very lacking when it comes to humanity. They'll not be getting my business

Will never return to this place or recommend it to anyone. I dropped my car off on 2/4/25 for them to fix a rattling sound. They called me later and said the belt tensioner was worn and needed replaced, which they did on 2/5/25. Cost was $832.78. On the way home after picking up the car, I noticed the rattling sound was still there. I called them and they told me to bring it back. When I got there, they wanted one of their mechanics to ride with me so that he could here the rattling sound, which he did. I left the car there again for them to work on. They called me later and said that it was fixed and the rattling sound was gone. Another charge of $98.80. On the way home after picking it up again, the rattling sound was still there. When I got home, I called them again to let them know that the rattling sound was still there, but I was not going to bring it back to them again. I told them to mark their records that the sound was still there. While going over the paperwork, I noticed that they stated the rattle was due to "cross wind". It also stated that I may hear the noise again in the future but there is nothing to worry about safety-wise. I don't know how they can make a statement like that when it is obvious they don't know what is causing the rattle or how to fix it. After spending $931.58 on this, I am still left with the same problem. And, by the way, when I originally dropped the car off the first time, I also gave them a discount coupon which they had mailed to me a few weeks earlier, which was not deducted from my bill. Update 2/7/25: I just wanted to let everyone know that the manager called me yesterday to discuss this with me. She asked how they could make this right. I told her that I am just not interested in doing business with Milex anymore. She said she would have the owner call me, which he did this morning. He made an offer for me to bring the car back for them to look at again at no charge. I declined, but I wanted everyone to know that they did offer to make this right, which is why I changed the rating from a 1 to a 3.

Love this shop. We switched to them a few years ago and have been more than happy with the service and quality of work. They’ve taken care of everything from oil changes to bigger repairs, and have kept my older car with high mileage safe and on the road. I have used shops with slightly cheaper rates in the past but Milex’s prices are definitely fair and most importantly, their work is consistently trustworthy. Their staff is kind, straightforward and communication is on point. This is the only shop I’ve been to where every experience we have had with them has been excellent all the way around.

Stay away from was this auto shop. They run a scam " piece of mind" inspection for cars. Take your money and don't identify key issues. We relied on their "inspection " in purchasing a car. They failed to identify major issues that racked up thousands of dollars of cost for us. The owner was downright nasty when we raised the concern and tried to come up with a fair resolution for his shop's failure to identify the issues. Zero integrity, zero customer service, zero quality. Do yourself a big favor and go someplace else.

I highly recommend finding somewhere else to go, shoddy management, everything is about money, they don’t actually take pride in knowing about their customers. Only how much they can make off you and your car. If you’re looking for a future in the automotive industry, I’d also highly consider taking your dreams elsewhere before your faced with empty promises of paid off tech school, and a nonexistent future with working with them.

HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS BUSINESS! Wonderful Auto service!!!! Positive experience from start to finish. Heather was so professional and knowledgeable but kind and patient. Exactly what a business needs as a first contact person. I was so overwhelmed with the prices the dealership was charging .... who can afford those prices?! I called Milex after being sent there by a tow truck drivet that reccomended them for a battery and check up. BEST THING that happened to me. I got an appointment right away, no week wait like dealer. Their prices were half of what the dealer quoted me and I could afford all the work that I had put off. I saved over $800.00. We need to start looking at local businesses. This auto business was comprehensive, brand name parts & fluids, and will stand behind their work. Be sure to check them out next time you need to service your automobile. They will save you money doing quality service.

Always, always, always… they find stuff that GM missed - I mean dealerships try sorta hard, but then send you home with a $600 bandaid.for a real problem that would be covered under warranty. Milex found a major problem I didn’t even know existed. Yeah, I was informed an oil change, but these guys look at the whole truck. Probably saved my engine with a coolant leak I did not know I had. It was major. They also researched a pesky CHECK ENGINE light to diagnose a manufacting flaw identified in a current TSB (technical service bulletin from GM). Cars and trucks cost too much to miss these details. Milex (in Boonsboro) has superheroes working on your ride. Not kidding. They should wear capes. A+++

DJ does amazing work!! he has worked on our Dune Buggy for two different problems, and it runs amazing. He put a new Carb on it and fine-tuned it to perfection. Then I took it in for a transmission problem and once again DJ came through with the solution and fixed it. This is a 5 star shop for sure. Also Heather who does the scheduling is so patient and kind. She has worked with us both times to fit it into our schedule to have it repaired.
