Always very friendly, prompt, and professional. I trust their expertise and opinion, which eases my anxiety when I need car maintenance or repairs. They let me know there were some serious concerns about my wheels and exactly what they recommended I do since I wasn’t familiar with the best way to resolve it. They only charged me for what they were able to complete (tire rotation), despite the fact that there was no doubt extra time and labor involved in attempting to balance my tires. I really appreciate it and recommend them to everyone I know.

Steve and his team are just amazing! My DIL’s sister is here teaching from the Philippines and has been having car issues. They were at the point of being so overwhelmed by a constant oil leak and check engine light glaring at them, that they were debating just buying a different car. When you are from a different country and don’t know a trustworthy mechanic, your mind just goes to getting a car that works! Our family has been with Steve’s shop for many years and we trust him wholeheartedly, so we referred them to him. Several repairs were made, in a very timely manner and at a very reasonably cost! Now, this young PH family, with a baby on the way, has a car they can TRUST driving and to get them safely to their destinations. HUGE relief for them and they are so thankful for this load off their minds, at a fraction of what it would’ve cost them to buy a whole ‘nother car!

Very professional, pleasant experience. My air intake hose tore completely and would’ve messed up my engine if I didn’t fix it soon. They were the only place I could find that had an available appointment the next day and first thing in the morning. I could book online which was amazing since my problem occurred the previous night when everyone was closed. The interior waiting area is nice and thoughtfully laid out, which is kind of rare for a mechanic shop. Woman at the front desk was sweet and knowledgeable, and they were able to order my part and fix it quickly. The cost for labor was very reasonable (which I was thankful for since the part itself was more than I was expecting, but that’s not their fault) and once they got the part it was fixed in fifteen minutes. As a girl in her 20s, it can be a challenge to find a place that doesn’t try to take advantage of you. I would definitely recommend them and will likely be a repeat customer. TL;DR easy quick booking, nice environment, courteous professionals, fair price. Highly recommend.

We were referred to this company by CarShield. They gave us a list of 3 mechanics to choose from and we chose Mr. Transmission based off of location and positive online reviews. We are so happy that we chose them!!! They were professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and mindful of our needs. It is refreshing to see employees who enjoy their job and take pride in their work…not to mention treating their customers with respect and dignity. They took time to explain our options and even accommodated our request to keep our car inside while waiting for the parts to start the repair process. We recommend them to all of our friends now.

Highly recommended. Jeff, Tristan/Kristen, and the technician were all incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient. I easily made an appointment online and they were able to do a test drive and the service to get me in and out. Didn't charge me an arm and a leg either. Very glad I found this place!

I brought my 2002 Jeep Wrangler to Milex Complete Auto Care for a transmission reseal and torque converter replacement. They did an excellent job—my Jeep drives smooth with no more leaks. Fair prices and super honest people. They kept me updated through the whole process and never tried to upsell me on things I didn’t need. Definitely a shop I trust and will return to.

I experienced such a shock, after I transmission fluid change services here.Over the phone I was told that all is good with our vehicle that it need just to change fluid and it didn’t required oil change. When I paid I couldn’t see the price but James told me it will be sent over email. I check email nothing, asked again he said its in spam. I trusted and went home with any insight of the price or what has been done. I was told that the price for transmission fluid change services was 288$ and you can imagine my shock when I saw 850$!!! charged from my account. I’m deeply disappointed since I got my car done here before and all was perfect and price was as it was said and it was same service for 250$. I hope this was terrible mistake if not I would honestly warn people to be very careful and check every single thing before decide to do anything here.

They did a wonderful job in rebuilding the transmission on my 2018 Chevy Impala. They gave me a very accurate estimate. They finished the job in very good time. The transmission shifts flawlessly now!

After finding this shop a couple years ago, it has become my primary shop for our five cars. The people are very friendly. They're willing to work with me on the kind of special issues that'll come up on older cars. These guys are great! I highly recommend them

Last year, I brought my 2016 Mazda CX-5 in for front and rear brakes, rotors, and an oil change. Since I had recently purchased the vehicle and didn’t know whether the rotors had ever been replaced, I decided to do everything at once. I spent over $1,000 total. Immediately after getting my car back, I noticed two issues: a strange noise coming directly from the brake pedal when pressing it, and persistent brake squeaking. I called and was told this was normal and that the brakes needed time to “wear in,” and to put some miles on the car. Shortly after, I took a 300+ mile trip, but the noise and squeaking never went away. I returned to the shop multiple times (at least 4–5 visits total). Each time, I was told adjustments were made or parts were changed, including being told the brake pads were switched out. The pedal noise eventually stopped, but the brake squeaking never did. During one visit, I asked if I could briefly ride along with a mechanic (a female mechanic who was working on my car) to point out the noise, but she declined to get in the vehicle with me, which I found odd. On my final visit, I received a call asking if I had a lug nut key because they couldn’t locate it, and I was also asked when my last oil change was, even though this shop was the one that had last serviced my oil. I was later called back and told the lug nut key had been found in my glove compartment, which added to my frustration and concern. The owner himself was pleasant, and I do believe efforts were made to resolve the issue. However, after multiple return visits, the brakes are still extremely squeaky, which is disappointing given the cost and the time invested trying to get this resolved.

Knowledgeable and Professional!! Work was completed in a timely fashion and performed thoroughly. Specifically needed my driver side rear wheel bearing replaced on my Tundra. The Toyota dealership declined to do the job but these guys not only Accepted the job but performed superbly!!

My family has a fleet (5) of old cars, and I've trusted Milex to keep them up and running at a fair price for over 6 year now. I have recommended them many times to family and friends and all of them have had excellent experiences and continue to use Milex for oil changes to major repairs. Shout out to Jeff Jackson, Steve Sargent, and the rest of the technicians who have kept us up and running, you're the best!

Please do not waste your time with this Shop. The owner has no idea how to Work On Cars his previous job was working on Pharmaceutical job and they will sit there and charge you and charge you until they tell you sorry there’s nothing we can do for your car. but your bill is thousands and your car is still not fixed. They made me spend $1600 on the car then tell me the car has a bad motor. Sorry we can’t fix it just so they can get their money.

am writing to file a formal complaint against Milex Complete Auto Care in Oak Forest, Illinois, regarding misrepresentation of pricing, unauthorized disposal of my property, and unprofessional conduct by management. I brought my vehicle to Milex because it would not start. Throughout the process, I was in contact only with the manager, Eric Williams, who told me I would be contacted once they determined the issue. It took approximately one week for Milex to inform me that my vehicle needed a new battery. Three days later, Eric Williams called and told me the battery had been installed and that the total cost would be $600. When I arrived at Milex to retrieve my vehicle, he then informed me the price was actually $900. When I questioned this, he claimed someone else must have quoted the $600 price, even though I had only spoken with him. I explained that I only had $600 and that it was unfair to change the price after the work was completed. He refused to honor the original price and asked what I could pay. I offered $650, but he stated the battery alone cost $489.84 and said he would not give me a battery for free. When my friend, who is knowledgeable about vehicles, arrived and stated we would remove the battery and go elsewhere, Eric Williams then added a diagnostic fee of $164.69 that was not on the original invoice. The next day, I returned and paid the diagnostic fee in full. When we calmly asked about my old battery, Eric Williams stated he had given it to the company he purchased the new battery from. I was never informed of this nor did I authorize disposal of my property. When questioned, he raised his voice, called us “goofys,” falsely claimed we were threatening him, and refused to return my car keys despite payment. Police were called. After removing my vehicle, my new mechanic informed me that a Milex technician removed screws belonging to my car, causing additional damage and repair costs. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service and am considering legal action. This complaint is to document these events and prevent similar treatment of others.

Great shop. Responsive when I reached out. Got my vehicle in quickly, service was great. Did not try to upsell me on things that didn’t need to be done. Scheduled my wife’s service and sent me an estimate quickly so I knew what I was looking at. All in all I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area who is looking for an honest shop that does good work and they can trust.

I have been on the used car hunt for awhile after my car got totaled. I needed a reliable used car and if you have been shopping for used cars, it is exhausting and it’s difficult to trust dealers and private dealers even with a Car Fax! But I am pleased to say I bought a used car after coming to these guys FIRST to check out my vehicle. They did a great job with all the explanations and emailing me a report of what they found! There were a few issues that they found and I was able to negotiate the car dealership to fix those issues right on the spot! These mechanics were wonderful, accommodating, FRIENDLY, and experienced!!!!!!! I give this place a 10/10 before you purchase a use car, come here!

Highly recommended. Went to the dealership for a recall repair and a diagnostic since I was there. Dealership wanted 2 1/2 times what this shop charged. They paid for an Uber home. Very respectful, and honest. Women experience a lot of condescension when it comes to car repairs and none of that happens here. Highly recommended!! They also were able to suggest a place for my tires. Fair prices/ Respectful/Safe
