Took in for NYS inspection. They tried to say the ac condenser was broken and needed replaced the ac works 🤣. What's that have to do with the NYS inspection NOTHING 🤣. Said the license plate light was out which it wasn't it was on when they took it out of the bay I checked it. Said the e break doesn't work yet it does. Said the tires were bad and needed replaced yet they are fine. Wanted thousands of dollars to fix all of this stuff. My young son had this vehicle as he lives and works up there. They were clearly trying to take advantage of him. My son called me upset not knowing what to do as he didn't have the money they wanted. I told him to tell them the repairs are not authorized and to get the vehicle out of the bay and we would be taking it somewhere else. So he drove the 2 hours back to our normal inspection station and it passed without any issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY 🤬

I went to Monroe when a tire on my car blew out. I expected to have to buy four new tires because I'd been told that that was necessary on a car with all-wheel drive. But after checking the tread on my other tires, they said they could just replace the damaged one as long as it was the same kind as the others. It took a couple of days for them to get the replacement tire, but I was happy to wait. Overall I was impressed with the efficient and friendly service, and especially with the fact that they could easily have sold me four tires but offered the much less expensive option of just getting one. I expect to be returning there for other service when I need it.

(Monro shop on Main Street in Buffalo): Great team with Mark at the helm! This shop listens to the customer, provides options for service, and even helps find discounts or informs you of deals when available. They shoot straight regarding what needs to be done with your vehicle and what they have also seen that needs work but can wait until later — no smokescreens for the customer just to get more work/money for the shop. And from my experience, no real upselling goes on but only options offered—and once the customer decides, there’s no issues. In one instance, exemplifying customer service, Mark personally helped find some parts for my car for a service that Monro didn’t provide, showing they will go above and beyond, which I assume is routine practice for this crew. The work ethic and customer service mindset from this team, turned me into a returning customer; my initial tire purchase a few months resulted in returning to Mark and his team for NYS inspections, automotive repairs, and future work that needs to happen…just not right now. Definitely worth your time to visit the shop so they can diagnose the problem and take care of you!

I was really happy with their service, had to get my muffler replaced as well as my brakes and our mechanic, Mark, explained the repairs and why they needed to get done which I really appreciated. First of all, I will be speaking about the main and hurdle location 1. Phone experience, A+ 2. Greeting experience when walking in the door A+ extremely friendly 3. Conversation was fantastic. Pricing was fantastic educational facts throughout the time I was in the building was fantastic. I had an oil change done and inspection in three windshield wipers. They got it done in less than an hour. I encourage everybody go see these guys. They’re definitely the best in the city . And again, I’ll say I’m speaking about the main and hurdle location

Huge shout-out to Garrett and Brandon at Monro Muffler Brake & Service on Main Street 🔧💪 I stopped in with questions about getting an oil change on an Enterprise rental when Enterprise couldn’t fit me in right away. Instead of brushing me off, Garrett and Brandon took the time to actually explain my options, broke everything down clearly, and did it with patience and kindness 🙏 They told me to come back the next morning at 9am and assured me they’d get me in and out as fast as possible ⏱️🚗 No pressure. No attitude. Just solid communication and good energy. You can tell right away these guys take pride in their work and how they treat people.
