So grateful to have finally found an honest, high quality, detailed, transparent, and top notch mechanic shop in Los Angeles. After leaving the Bay Area (I had the most exceptional mechanic) and upon moving to LA came across quite a few car issues- which resulted to taking my car to two different places that provided a less than ideal service. This time around, I reached out to a few friends who recommended Morris Automotive and I am so APPRECIATIVE to the entire staff for their work ethic- especially to Rod who provided quality service, and now has a loyal customer for life. They are a competent, detail oriented, and kind team who take pride in their work.

This place is the best. I've gone there for regular maintenance and when my car basically died on the 10. The Morris team (shout-out to Danny) are fantastic at keeping you updated, making sure you're informed on any issues/costs/etc. And on top of the great service, the cost/value is also the best around. I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else.

This place has over seven hundred 5 star reviews for good reason! The owner is simply a great guy. I didn't know that the humble, kind, and patient man that helped me with my van was the owner of the shop. Thank you for your time, your experience, and your insight!

Incredibly honest and nice professionals! I’m really blown away by the service here. Danny has now looked at my car at length twice in one week. He has run tests to diagnose the issue, test drove and determined what could be done to isolate the issue to more precisely figure out what is going on, rather than “guessing” and unnecessarily replacing parts. He did not charge me on either occasion and just told me to come back if it happens again and then we can determine exactly what needs replacing. I absolutely expected to pay for his time! I really appreciate his integrity. Car issues are stressful and can be intimidating for those of us who don’t know about cars. I feel really lucky to have found Morris Automotive and will be recommending widely.

The people at Morris Automotive deserve more than 5 stars for stellar service and outstanding customer relations. Throughout the entire process, Rod kept me apprised of the situation with my car, what was needed at 100K miles, but never upselling me. He was professional, courteous, and easy to work with on the issues of a car with many miles. There was also a wonderful mechanic who assisted me when I drove in and during the completion of my service, but unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was so considerate, kind, and very knowledgeable...truly stellar experience. I highly recommend this organization and my only regret is that I didn't know about them sooner!

The crew at Morris Auto have taken great care of my 15 year old Subaru for the last few years. They are honest and fair about what work needs to be done and what is preventative or non-essential. Whether it’s been routine maintenance or repairs, I’ve always been happy with the work!

I came here because of the reviews and they did not disappoint! Danny was the best and was extremely helpful. Morris is 5 stars for a reason. I had dropped my car off for them to repair something in my dash and they did a routine check and noticed that my brakes needed to be replaced. They were able to fix them right after and attended to some other minor issues in my car free of charge and cleaned the inside of my car! The service was extremely quick. They even charged me only half the hourly rate for the initial issue with my dash. They were very professional, and good communicators. They even offered to drive me home while I waited for my car! If you want a safe, reliable and fair priced option, then look no where else because the workers at Morris are real professionals. These guys are deserving of every star and review they get.

Auto shop ypu can trust! It's hard to find an honest repair shop. I've owned several car and you know you are being taken advantage of when your car comes back from a shop with something else needing repair other than what you took it in for. Morris auto is the opposite. Your can will come back fixed and if there are some little things needing repair or adjusting they will just do it. If ypu need other work they will let you know. They don't try to upsell you unnecessarily, they treat your money like theirs. They know what's needed, whats worth spending on and what's not. They are highly knowledgeable in their craft and you can tell they love their work, but more importantly they love their customers. If you are looking for a professional, honest, knowledgeable, friendly AND did I mention not overpriced repair shop, I highly recommend Morris Auto!

Danny and the team showed equal concern for both my car and myself. Since first using them, I would not dream of getting the car serviced anywhere else. Prompt, efficient and courteous service is the norm at Morris!

I wish I had discovered the team at Morris long ago. Super helpful and professional all the way. I discovered Morris after having some suspicious and expensive repair work recommendations from 2 other shops. I left my 2016 Buick with them and they found the exact problem, charged me a reasonable amount, and got me on my way. Returning another day for something smaller, Danny and his team helped me out again - with a team of great people jumping in to help with the case. It is SO nice to see a workplace with people who enjoy their work and work together in such a friendly way to get the job done. In an era of waiting on hold by phone or spending 12 minutes trying to get a real person through a phone bank, I'm hoping to have car trouble again soon so I can stop by again and say hello. -Greg 2016 Buick Enclave

TLDR: warning lights immediately after repair, had quote but refused, repaired at Costco at no cost. I really want to like this place because the staff is genuinely nice, but it’s hard to recommend them. For some reason, every time I’ve brought my car in I’ve left with a new warning light- potentially trying to overcharge and scam? Right after the first visit for a routine inspection, the tire pressure light came on as soon as I left their driveway. They claimed they needed to replace a tire pressure sensor—which felt like a scam because this car doesn't even use those sensors (which I’ve only learned when asking another repair shop later.) On my second routine maintenance visit, they somehow broke the BSM (blind spot monitor) sensor during the repair. They tried to charge me for the inspection and repair of the damage they caused. Since my car has 180k miles, I decided to just live with the warning light rather than pay them more (*I had let the tire pressure warning unfixed from last time since I didn’t want to pay the 150-250 they were quoting for replacing the tire pressure sensors). The thing that made me write this review is that a recent trip to Costco for tires fixed everything. They cleared the 'issues' immediately for free—apparently, they were very easy fixes. Nice people here, but the quality of work just isn't there. Your experience may vary but if you are a novice in car maintenance, beware of overcharges and unnecessary billing- aka scams. For info: 2014 Mazda 3 touring with ~180k miles at time of visit. visits were for spark plug replacements, and engine oil changes. (Now learning to do DIY since.. it’s hard to trust anyone after well, that.)
