I'm not questioning this mechanics aptitude just there ethics. Went in for a engine diagnosis and there imediate diagnosis was engine failure, that it locked up. To my point , in retrospect almost costing me thousands for there mis diagnosis. And not fully understanding the inner working of my high end vehicle. I went to an official hyundai equus dealer and there diagnostic tools indetified my starter was burnt and my engine was fully operational. Just beware of certain mechanics and always get multiple opinions especially for a extensive internal diagnosis, because independent mechanics look for big paychecks and will try to exploit certain repairs instead of just being sound concise and ethical. Appreciate the other service but this was out of your league.

I recently had my shift cable replaced by a different mechanic who overcharged me. In my pursuit of obtaining a refund by seeking written estimates from other local mechanics, I stumbled across Elmwood Car Services. Their written estimate came in 25% less than several other nearby competitors. When I asked how this was possible the owner (an older gentleman) said, "I made my money. I just like to work now". Although I haven't personally used them for repairs, the next time I have an automotive issue, Elmwood Car Services will be my first call.

I’ll try to make it short. Had a crank no start situation, called Elwood auto and he got me in within the following week. After taking 4 days to diagnose a bad fuel pump he told me he’d replace it for $500, even tho I had already checked the fuel pressure and the fuel pump sound when you turn the key over and it seemed to be working but I figure hey he’s the “professional” so I guess he knows something I don’t. So Then took another 3 days to fix it. Now I understand why the price was so great. I was back on the road for not even 3 weeks before I ran into the SAME problem. Crank no start. I call Rick tell him and he tells me to bring it back. So I get it towed to that shop AGAIN and he proceeds to take 5 more days(with me calling every other day for an update and him giving me the run around) before finally telling me he got it back running again. Long story short- lasted bout another month then BOOM guess what? Crank no start AND now my battery dies overnight and it was not doing that before I took it to that bogus shop. The other guy that works with him just stares at you. And to top it off HE LEFT MY DOORS UNLOCKED EVERY TIME AFTER I ASKED HIM NOT TO. Stay clear save yourself the headache

They did a great job. I just needed my rear window tinted and they matched the tint to my front windows really well they told me 40 minutes to get it done and did it in 30 and the job itself was excellent. They had a comfortable room for me to sit and wait in TV couch overall I’m very happy and would recommend

I just had my car tint fixed in here which was installed last year. Informed the owner about the problem and he took care of if right away. They also suggested for some car windows to be tinted and gave me a fair price for it. I would definitely recommend this shop. Plus, he also have other auto related business that you might need.
