The shorter guy is an opportunist. I drove a used car I was looking at buying to this shop to get a inspection before purchase. Was told I would need to spend about 700 total repairs. For 252 I would get a new computer otherwise it won't pass smog test. The mechanic then told me I should counter bid 500 less of asking price & would you look at the coincidence he's selling a vehicle within my price range. He offers me a Green Honda sitting on the curb. I pay 66 dollars for the inspection. Drive back to owner tell him it won't pass the smog based on what I was told by 1st mechanic. He states it will pass, so we drive to his mechanic. The 2nd mechanic charges me 50 dollars for the smog test. The sale depends on the smog test is what I decided. So either first mechanic MP Auto lied & attempted to over charge me to reprogram/replace computer. Or this 2nd mechanic cooked the smog test to pass the vehicle & make a sale. Either way the jiffy lube guy thinks I got a deal for a 07 matrix with 103k miles which vindicates my decision. Don't let more money be the only motivation to help people who know nothing about cars is what I would tell the opportunist. Shop around I what I've learned.

This is a terrible idea to take your car to this man. Mike the mechanic. I took my truck in because it had a leak of oil when i purchase it. The mechanic mike said he could fix it and it would cost x amount of money. He was not able to fix the leak. I took the truck back to him several times. He would not test it and say it was good to go. I took the truck back to him once more and he said it was something he had overlook the first the and it was going to cost anorher 3 hundred dollars. I said okay if it will be fix the problem and it continue. He refused to pay me back and said to take the truck back to him. Why take it back to an incompetent mechanic. A full waste of time and money. A new mechanic was able to resolve my problem for about 400 dollars. He commented on the lousy job MIKE did.

Really no-nonsense type of service, and thankfully, uses common sense, with no extra charge if it's a minor problem! When changing out my timing belt, a complete service with water pump, tensioner pulley, and cam seals for $475 (2021), he also changed out the air conditioning belt and added an air-conditioning line, then charged up my A. C. system for $110! The belt and line were his call! No "extra" charges, and he's fast!

He is fast friendly and above all honest. Prices are fair. Sometimes he can be busy. This is a family run auto shop. I live in Long Beach and come all the way out to Hollywood bc I have been so pleased with the work he does.

He told me the issue way battery, I paid $400, the car did the EXACT same thing a week later. I call him and he tells me oh you need gas in the car, I put gas in, and it stalled out AGAIN this past Friday. I’d rather pay a bit more than go with some cheap mechanic who specializes in quick fixes.

Don't know why it has good reviews, I took my car here and he charged me $150 to just look at it and see what was wrong. Then he gave me an outrageous price to fix it when others charge way less. Do not recommend, don't come here to waste money and your time. No wonder it has no clients. He seemed rude as well when I met him, and his staff as well. A woman was there acting all judgemental. Avoid

Charged me $140 for an oil change. Last year they charged me $85. I just called the dealership and they would only charge me $90. Mike explained the 70% increase from last year because "the cost of oil went up."

Great fast service. The gentleman that fixed my tire wasn't chatty but got right to work. The place is easy to miss but it's next to a Shell gas station and another shop. Pulling in is pretty easy but getting out can be tough because of the oncoming traffic.

I have been struggling with a Chrysler product issue for 18 months. I even took my car to the dealer. All anyone wants to do is hook the car up to the computer & have it tell you what's wrong. When you have an electrical problem that doesn't work. You have to roll up your sleeves & find the problem. Mike was recommended to me by someone who travels a great distance for his auto repair. And I am delighted to say, his mechanics found the problem & repaired it. Was it cheap no. Yet very Fair when I think of all the $$ I wasted on guesswork. It was worth it. The place is very clean & there is a nice sitting area as well. I am so happy to know about this Repair shop & I highly recommend him.
