I bought a nice set of tires elsewhere and needed some place to install them. I ran across Mr. Tire on my way to another tire place. The guys were very welcoming and accommodating. It was toward the end of a Sunday and they happily took me in. They even took a look at the undercarriage because I had some concerns. They were $50+ cheaper than the other big names around. I appreciate that. They are an awesome group of guys and a great value for the great service they provide.

I go here often when I have car troubles. But the wait is ridiculous. We wait in the waiting room for 30 minutes. And no one comes out. I understand being busy in the back. But there was no “I’ll be out there in a minute” or any acknowledgement.

I went in for my NYS inspection and ended up spending $501. It would have been more if I didn’t tell them I just had my oil change last week. I just felt like they were more worried about selling me tires and other stuff than doing my inspection.

5 star ⭐️😎 why? Let me explain to you why; 1-Joe Perry his so fast and responsible. 2- I called him before drive there, I had a few questions. I got my answer very quick and respectful. 3-i got a discount 😎 (I'm lucky 🍀 ) 4-he changed my old plate for me, I didn't request for that, he saw the new NY plate number, and he said let me help you, Mr. Swift, I know this is not his job, but he replaced for me. I'm a local guide if I see any excellent customer care/service take a moment and write a review for them. Joe, why you are hiding your relationship with Katy Perry?? Come on man, don't be shy 😅😈

Really pleased with the service I received here! I had a nail in my tire, which was unpatch-able. I was able to get the full tire replaced within an hour and it was only $140. Thank you to the staff for being so respectful and understanding when I was there. I felt very seen and heard, which meant a lot. Car issues stress me out immensely, and the whole experience here was smooth. I will absolutely return if my car has any troubles going forward!

Drove around for an hour trying to get a simple state inspection. Most places said 2 hour wait.. come back… inspection will take about 45-60 mins… could have cared less about me… popped in to Mr Tire,.. nice guy at the desk.., “sure can do it now”… was out of there in 15-20 mins… $21…. Will be bringing all my cars here in future

Took my car in just after 11am today. Spent a fortune entertaining my kids at the mall while my car was supposedly getting serviced. Call at 2:20, they say oh yeah it’s next to come in. Still no call back so I go back at 5:11 and the car is exactly where I parked it, how I parked it.

Vehicle door was damaged by a technician in November. Technician and manager admitted fault but now it’s the end of January and still no contact or payment from claims department. Stay far away from this place if you value being respected.

3 hours to change tires? They also managed to break my gear shift when pulling my car out of the bay. But don't worry, they still tried to upsell me on alignment and warranty.....

Terrible experience. Definitely don’t recommend . Worst experience with Mr Tim. Also they’re quick to threaten customer with police for my tinted car windows because it’s illegal to have . Altogether a very unprofessional experience.

As a Female going to the mechanics is not easy and everyone tries to over charge or add extra unnecessary services but when I tell you James was so nice, understanding and welcoming. Awesome experience and excellent customer service!!! I called the Colonie store and spoke to Mike who was very professional. I told him I need my wife’s tire patched that she got a flat he said bring it in. No appointment necessary being today New Year’s Day I was pleasantly surprised they were open and Mike answered the phone and provided his name. I got their approximately 3 PM. I dropped the rim/tire off. He said it be done in 30 to 40 minutes. I came back in 30 minutes it was done. My wife is extremely happy. She can now drive her car again and not have to worry. Thank you Mike and your staff for taking care of that for me. We really appreciate it. That’s why we’re repeat customers.

Came here to get my inspection and the guy at the front was horrible. Tim was very rude and started to raise his voice and yell at me over just a normal question. I didn’t feel comfortable having this place inspect my car after the horrible experience I had with both Tim and the inspector. Horrible people and very unprofessional. He seems to not all be there, I don’t think I would trust anyone who works here with my car ever again.

Was dealing with some car problems and took it to them for an inspection on 12/12 at around 12:00pm-1:00pm. Firstly, I noticed the front desk guy was extremely rude to this customer who had some concerns about what the manager was saying, then just flat out refused him service and wouldn't let the guy speak. I figured maybe the customer was rude or something before I started paying attention so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then he tells me the problems with my car and how much it's going to cost to fix(extremely upcharged for everything), and then I asked for an itemized bill he was very dodgy, stating that his "computer froze" so he was only able to print 1/2 the bill. This was an obvious lie and the version of the bill he printed for me did not include 1 of the services I was apparently going to have to spend over 1,000 dollars for. He then tried to change the subject for a while to my car I imagine in hopes of me not asking for a fully itemized bill, then I asked him for it again and he gave the same excuse but eventually complied. The "proper" version of the bill didn't even say the specific service by name and just said "miscellaneous labor". I told him I was going to get quotes from other shops (since he was obviously trying to finesse me out of hundreds of dollars at least), and then he was like alright that'll be 54 dollars for the inspection, which may be standard but one it was not mentioned at all until this moment, and also on the bill it specifically said "Free Inspection with Every Visit", so I told him I wasn't going to pay for something advertised as free that wasn't told to me until last minute. He then tried to escalate the situation, saying that he wasn't going to give me the car and he was calling the cops, but he lied about calling the cops and then I called the cops since I actually wanted them to mediate the situation. Then, a few minutes later when he realized I wasn't going to be scared of police interaction, they just gave the car back. I don't want to say the entire shop or the individual mechanics are fishy or have bad customer service due to this experience alone, but I can only suspect thats the case. At the very least the front desk person definitely is rude and lied to me multiple times in our brief interaction which I suspect is how he is with all customers. I can not speak to their ability to actually work on cars though, I imagine that it's pretty good from the reviews, so if you don't care about price or don't mind being swindled out of money, then this is probably a pretty good shop.
