So I just wanted to add to the chorus of excellent reviews here. My wife and I always dread taking our cars in for inspection since all too many mechanics try to "find" something wrong to pad their bottom line and even even the ones that don't put it at the bottom of the pile and pretty much take all day to do it. But these guys are square. I took my wife's car in this morning and they had it done within an hour and didn't try any of the shenanigans some other places around here have. I'll definitely be going back.

Just wanted to leave a review so people can see it. These guys over charge ridiculously. They had to replace my water pump in my car. It was 800ish. I didnt have a choice because I couldnt take it elsewhere. But I did call around. It was only about a $300 job. Criminals. Learned my lesson.

The good: Quick turnaround Stand by their work Reasonable rates Monday May 16 I took my wife’s Passat Wagon in for a CV axle, front end alignment, and oil change. In all, the service was about 1/2 as expensive as one of the import specialists where we used to take the car. On Tuesday, we noticed a squealing noise from the front end. My wife got off work early Wednesday and took the car back. Their technicians noticed a brake backing plate had been bent during service and was dragging along the rotor. They repaired it within about an hour and the car has been tight as a drum since.

Great and honest auto repair shop. They fixed my son's vehicle after being taken advantage of from a local dealership ( Sharpest Rides Auto Center in Norfolk Virginia ) Josh and Sharon helped us through this unpleasant experience . They were able to make the repairs and get my son back on the road. They offer a military discount as well. Highly recommend 👌

Thanks to the mechanics at Bayview! They were very helpful, informative, and accommodating to my schedule (no charges for having to pick the car up at a later date). Despite their efforts, my problem was beyond their ability to diagnose* , so they documented what they found, put everything back in working order, directed me to a specialist/dealership, and only charged me $30** for their time and materials. The diagnosis was automatically free since they couldn't determine the exact problem. Oh, and the Military discount was nice! *Not the first to do so. I had already gone to Bingo's Tire and Auto (not recommended, foolishly went to the closest repair shop at the time ) who not only misdiagnosed it as the battery (replaced battery, battery light immediately came back in, so out another unnecessary $90 for the battery), but charged me $92 for it. ** Much better than Bingo's $92.

This has become my go to place for inspection/oil change. I dropped my car off just after 7PM and picked it up around 10AM the next day with inspection passed and oil change finished at a fair price. All staff were professional and friendly. Thanks!

They did an inspection on my wife's car a while back and offered to change the oil while they were at it. She said sure. Price was about 35-40 dollars higher then we've paid elsewhere. Lesson learned. Fast forward to my Jeep in for an inspection. They said it needed new brakes and rotors and they could do it for about 450 dollars. I told that seemed high and i would take it elsewhere for another opinion. Took it to another shop and they said the rotors were great didn't even need to be turned. They changed the pads and did an oil change for 250 dollars. So, two hundred less and an oil change. Finally, when i brought it back for the reinspect they moved about as slow as one could go. Even when i mentioned i was in a hurry. Perhaps when they realized they couldn't gouge me on the price they no longer cared about me as a customer?

The staff are really nice, and they're convenient to where I live. My first inspection on my pickup - failed..."all balljoints are bad $1010 for repair." I brought the truck home, made repairs, the took it back, and the truck passed. Classic Fiat 500 - failed..."all wheel bearings are loose." I just brought it home and went elsewhere. I had my van inspected there - failed..."turn signals work but blink too fast. $60 diagnostic fee, then we'll see from there." VA inspection manual does not suggest a blink rate/ # of blinks per minute, only that they work, the lenses are in good repair, and that they are clearly visible. I took my pickup back this year - failed..."all the brakes are bad." I brought the truck home. All the rotors are new, the rear brake pads are new, I replaced the front pads because they're getting close. The truck failed..."The brake pads are not making full contact with the rotors." This place is trying to make shop work, instead of simply inspecting vehicles.

When I discovered my vehicle needed the injectors replaced I called numerous local repair shops for estimates. Then I spoke with John at Bayview BP. He gave me two different options. The prices for both were much much lower than the other shops. The work was done correctly and on time. And amazing as it is in this day and age, John actually called me when the car was ready to be picked up. I consider all of that to be first rate service.

Hello! I brought my car to Baview BP to have an inspection renewed. I knew I needed a bulb replacement for a turn signal and let them know. The mechanic called me back with an hour or two to let me know what would be needed to pass inspection and their plan to correct it, but he also took the time to let me know about some items that were not inspection related, but could possibly cause me problems down the road. He was jovial, patient, and professional when answering my annoying amount of questions, and I am grateful for that. The cost was significantly below what I thought it would be, and they had a great turnaround on their vehicles. I think I brought my car in at 9AM and had it back by 1-ish, but YMMV, based on the number of customers for that day. I had what I would call close-to-perfect service here, and I will be a repeat customer for sure. 4.99 out of 5, and the only thing that could have made my experience better is if it was free. 🤣 You would be doing yourself a favor by bringing your car here for service.

I took my car in for an oil change and to get a diagnostic on my car failing as a walk-in customer - upon a friend's recommendation. One of the mechanics, Fred, greeted me and went to check the vehicle after I pulled in. He was very knowledgeable and did thorough checks to find the issue. I was expecting the repair to be overpriced and to spend a while in the shop but Fred fixed the issue fast and at a fair price to most the other shops I've encountered. I'll be returning here for maintenance because the customer service was wonderful and I trust their mechanics.
