We took our suv in, and they called us with a quote. We approved it. And an hour later they called back to say they misquoted us. It was $400 more. At this point, there was nothing we could do. Our car was taken apart, we had to proceed. I asked what happened, and they said something about new people. I have worked in customer service a long time. If a company messes up on a quote, that is the company's problem, not the customer. NEVER THE CUSTOMER. I have owned my own cars for 30 years. Never has a mechanic jacked me around like this. They didn't find a new issue. They messed up and literally made us pay for it. This is despicable business practice. Horrible.

Did a decent job on body work... everything else about this place is completely baffling. Pretty sure they attempted to repair my vehicle when it clearly should have been totalled. Looks good but rides like garbage. If someone calls in sick good luck getting any news. 3 times in that shop and my vehicle still has problems. Told me they have video it being all good and they won't fix the problems. I also have videos showing the opposite. They lied about parts being replaced that weren't and never billed. Clearly can't see obvious camber while doing alignments. As a auto service advisor...I would be fired if I provided such horrible responses/customer service. Sometimes my steering wheel feels like it's catching and getting stuck while turning left. Definitely not going to have a sense of security this winter! I wouldnt trust them with your lives to do mechanical work.

My car had been stolen and was located by police. We called Nelson's towing to have it towed to the mechanic shop. Milo called me and as soon as he heard it had been stolen, offered to take pictures of my car and text them to me. I was so grateful he did, eased my mind. Very friendly, professional and courteous. I highly recommend them for your towing needs. They will have our business from here on out. Thank You Milo!

The tow truck driver dumped the gas tank that was removed from the vehicle all over my dads interior of his Tahoe and the company will not take responsibility or offer any help for there driver being clumsy and ruining the interior of a vehicle

Mike was awesome. They can tow a Tesla!!! I hit a massive pothole on mill road and it took out 2 tires. Nelson was there in 30 minutes. This was on a Sunday and every other place said they could get it on Monday or Tuesday. I will always have my car towed by there people.

Seeing some of the past reviews I was a bit leery going here but I was planning on getting an alignment on suggestion from Discount Tire. The alignment turned into a MUCH bigger job but Nelson’s was able to do the whole thing, same day, which I was grateful for. Afterwards there was a metal on metal sound that was some sort of dust cover rubbing but I just brought it right back (twice lol) and they fixed it right up. I had no problem, nothing about it was a hassle and in pleased with the service and work done. I’d come here for work again.

Friend left a car at a gas station for a few hrs where it’s a 48 parking permitted and they came and towed his vehicle they are really desperate so watch out for them guys out to get you really unreliable company the manager of the gas station said he had nothing to do with them picking it up so guarantee set up . Please be courteous!!

HORRIBLE- If you purchase at their auction - DO NOT - leave your purchased vehicle or boat with them - They just leave them on the street and they can be stolen and they take NO responsibility for it. According to the front desk man this is the second time this month! My husband went to pay for the boat we purchased and by the time we went to pick it up it had already been stolen!!! So we have no boat and they take no responsibility!

This place is unprofessional, when picking up my car from the lot it was smashed into another car. They denied any damage and refused to provide insurance. Do Not Do Business with this Place! They are careless, and do not respect people's property or take accountability.

Stopped in to visit family. Parked in an area to unload things from our car. Not realizing how long it took before we knew a neighbor knocked on our door and told us our vehicle was being towed. This was within an hour of arrival. The parking for the apartment was full. We were not blocking anyone. The car next to ours was also towed. Tried to get the car but the driver said sorry too late. He had just connected it within minutes. Spoke with a few neighbors and was told they give warnings and no one has ever been towed in the 5 years they had been here. Rushed to retrieve all within 30 minutes of it leaving and charged $272.50. $50 of which was a storage charge. When we arrived it was still connected to the tow truck. The total distance was 3.5 miles yes 3 1/2 miles. Can’t believe they can get away with this. Found out the manager who lives offsite Alexander Wells was the person that called. He works for Guenther Property management and will not return calls made to him. By the way. Currently there is a car parked in our exact location shortly after we were towed. 7 hours and counting.

Nelson’s Tow truck driver with SUV in tow on 395 southbound 1/13 near hatch wandermere driving well beyond the speed limit and being so close to me I couldn’t even see his lights in my mirrors. Totally dangerous and reckless behavior of any driver , let alone one working for a tow company. This driver drove all the way from the accident at Denison to Francis exit at well beyond a safe speed for the majority of the drive. They tailgated me so tightly I didn’t want to risk changing lanes and being side swiped by them. Report with crime check made for unsafe dangerous driving 👍🏼

This is the second time in a year that I’ve used their services and they’re always super friendly, compassionate, and quick with their service. Those complaining about delay need to understand that being in a larger city means they are frequently busy. But I’ve lived in small towns where it’s taken three hours for Roadside Assistance. Nelson has always been able to assist me and under 45 minutes.I am very grateful for this company! I will always choose Nelson towing over any other towing company in the city! they have been extremely professional and nothing short of awesome with every interaction .
