Took my 86 pickup to James to solve a transmission issue I was having after buying a brand new trans from marlin crawler that never worked right from the beginning and after being denied my warranty I took it to North side 4x4 were James was able to figure out what they did wrong and correct the issue in a timely manner and now have ny truck back on the road after a very long time. Highly recommend north side 4x4 for any toyota needs

Can I give James and Shawn more than 5 stars!? My YJ had the infamous death wobble, and they found and took care of the problem super fast. What they charged me would have been a deal ar twice the price, and they were able to squeeze me in their busy week, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend James and Shawn for any problems you run accross your off-road vehicles, hands down!

I took my Nissan Titan to him and he got it up and running again it had rearend problems he got me in and out very quick and at a very fare price ! Nissan’s quote was $4000 and north side 4x4 charged me only $600 job complete! Great quality work! He is not out to take your money like the big outfits like ( Nissan) quality work at a great price! Needed the shocks removed from the springs and new shocks installed. I initially was going to use the spring compressors from Oreillys but once i began i chose not to because it was too dangerous imo. I called James and he took care of it the same day easily with much safer equipment. I was happy and ill recommend this shop for sure.

I have a 2012 Tacoma and I had experienced few symptoms while driving pointing to the Needle Bearing in the front differential. Called Northside 4x4 and James was able to take care of the issue in a timely manner! Dropped it off in the morning, picked it up in the evening. Additionally he changed out my passenger side front axle too. Great price and very nice guys. Highly recommend this shop.

Took my 01 Tacoma in to get the steering box leak fixed and some leaf springs bushings replaced, set up an appointment with James and he went above and beyond to get my truck back on the road. He ordered all the right parts for me and had it back to me in 1 day! That’s incredible! Nobody else touches my Jeep! James is the most honest and ethical (who thought those words would describe a mechanic?) shop owner I have ever met. I’ve had him fabricate parts for my rig as well as dial in the suspension, upgrade and reinforce every suspected issue and eliminate potential weaknesses . I swear, half the time I go in, he shakes his head and wonders how I broke it this time. However, each repair and parts replacement is almost indestructible. My only complaint would be that too many Toyota guys discovered him, so now I have to schedule my appointments way in advance.

Came here for a Body Mount Chop to clear 285/70/17. They claim to be the best in the Valley for BMC. Take a look at the pictures, still rubbing! Save your time and money, not worth going here for a BMC. My dreams of clearing 35” tires shattered… unless I do a complete Body Mount relocation. 🤦‍♂️ Edit: 10/20/21 After thinking about it some, the quality of their work is pretty good, welds are good! Not 100% their fault in me not being able to clear 33” My only suggestion for them next time they do BMCs, is make the cut and push back that Mount Plate as Much as possible. I ended up removing my 1.25” wheel spacers to avoid rubbing against the BMC.
