I am writing this review as a long-time customer who is genuinely disappointed by my recent experience with Nutech Auto Fix Shop and the shop manager, Jimmy. I have previously used Nutech for the AAA Free 40-point inspection multiple times and have always been impressed by their thoroughness, especially with the use of photos to document the inspection. This history of trust is why I chose them for a more significant repair: spark plug and valve cover gasket replacement on my V6 car at 100k miles. I specifically called, mentioned my car was a V6, and quickly received a quote link from Jimmy for approximately $659. This quote was competitive with other local AAA-approved shops I contacted. Based on the fair quote and my previous trust, I approved the job and had my car towed to Nutech around 10 AM, assuming the work would proceed. My experience took a sharp turn when I called the shop around 3 PM for a status update. I soon received a call back informing me that the initial quote was "wrong" because my car was a V6 (which I had already specified), and the new price would be $1200—almost double the original cost. I was given an ultimatum: accept the massive price increase or take my car back immediately at no charge. This is unacceptable business practice. To only address the quote error after the car has been dropped off and scheduled for service—and with such a significant increase—feels like a deliberate tactic to take advantage of customers. The excuse that a V6 engine required more labor time is moot since that detail was provided before the initial quote was given. I ended up calling an Uber, retrieving my car, and taking my business to another AAA-approved shop, LT on Valley, the very next day. They completed the exact same service on my V6 for $600 and provided a standard AAA 2-year warranty. For comparison, other AAA shops like Associate and Chendo quoted me $625 and $635, respectively. The integrity of a quote should be honored, especially when a customer provides all necessary vehicle details up front. I am left with the feeling that Nutech attempts to leverage the inconvenience of a customer's vehicle already being at the shop—or even worse, being undrivable—to force them into accepting an inflated price. Jimmy, I know you put a lot of effort into this shop, but doing business this way is bad for customer retention and your reputation. I am deeply disappointed that my years of loyalty were met with this kind of bait-and-switch tactic. I can no longer recommend Nutech. (screenshot from previous review from your old customer. Jimmy you need change the way you doing business,it is not a good long term strategy )

New KYB shocks & struts installed on my 2010 Tacoma woth 103K miles and rides like new again on new tires. Excellent job! Came back with 3 led lights and Jimmy was able fix the transmission fluid & filter, brake fluid and control arms extra work. Everything is better now. Fantastic job!

I just called this business about 2 hours ago and the impression I got over the phone was bad customer service. Not sure who I talked to but I think they were having a bad day and took it out on me. I was trying to get some information about potentially replacing my 2006 Honda Accord’s heater core. I first asked if they do this service which they do. I don’t say the year of the car yet…then he proceeds to tell me it’s going to be “thousands of dollars.” I say ok and “I’m just calling around to get some different prices to see if it’s worth it for me to do this service, since the car is older.” He says “it’s not me to tell you if it is worth it or not that’s up to you” yes that’s why I am calling to see what my options are??? I’ve been trying to tell him the year, make and model this whole phone call and he keeps talking over me and assumes and says “well I can’t just give you a price over the phone like $200 and then you’re going to come in shop and expect that price, you need to come in so we can get the accurate price” so it went from thousands to $200? I know it wasn’t going to be $200. I say “ok I would like to give you my year make and model now and if you could tell me a price range for my information.” He says “$700” and I say “ok not too bad” but then berades me that is not the final price once again. Then he says it’s $90 just to check if it’s even the problem when I already know this is the problem because my trusted mechanic checked it. Otherwise I wouldn’t have called here. That is ok with me that this business policy is to charge for this check, I just didn’t appreciate that he was rude to me over the phone and assuming that I wanted an accurate estimate right then and there with no information about my car. Then the cherry on top of it all was not asking if I had any other questions, and hangs up on me. Based on this customer service alone it doesn’t make me feel like this business is genuine and I will not be servicing my car here.

As a new owner of a 2016 Jaguar F-type it eventually needed an oil change. I didn't know who to trust as my regular mechanic doesn't work on Jags. So I used Chat GPT to do a thorough search in the area and recommend a place. Nutech was the recommendation. I was very happy with the service they provided, and although it was just a basic oil change, they didn't try to sell me any other repairs. That's a good way to earn customer's trust!
