Customer for Life! Wow, I found them on the Internet and felt really good about the reviews. Ha! the reviews were nothing compared to how amazing the owners of this small, family business really are. They gave me a speedy, honest, affordable appraisal and began the repairs immediately. They also gave me coffee and great conversation in the morning and chicken fresh off the grill and more great conversation in the evening.

Ive had numerous repairs serviced by Mark and I will return because he is communicative along the diagnostic process and provides the most economical solution. He also knows the community and has provided me insights about the Murray Hill neighborhood.

I had my truck towed to this body shop because unfortunately my truck broke down. I called ahead to see if they could even inspect the vehicle and was told a diagnostic would run me $140. I agreed and Mark told me he would get to work. The first diagnostic he told me it was the Crankshaft sensor and after waiting for the part to be delivered I was told, “nope. That’s not right. It did not fix the issue.” So then he ran another diagnostic and told me it was either the PCM or GEM module. Told me he could fix it but that a dealership would have to program it. Fine by me. Well after I called dealership after dealership I was able to take it to Coggin on Atlantic and after their initial inspection turns out it was visibly obvious signs as to what was wrong. The terminal cable needed to be replaced and was actually cracked completely in half and a few smaller issues such as a new battery and a fuel filter. MIGHT I add I told Mark from the get-go that I truly felt as if a new battery was all that was needed because something felt off yet he told me time after time that wouldn’t fix the issue and get my truck running again. He made me pay him the $140 for “all of the time, effort and research” he put into my vehicle, which initially I was thankful for but now that I am getting it fixed, properly might I add, and the issues are simple fixes that could be noticed just by looking the vehicle over I am appalled that he made me pay the $140 (which was through cash-app because they don’t take cards). To conclude, it’s very concerning that a worker at this place couldn’t notice obvious signs that would cause the vehicle to not start is not a good look and unfortunately I will not be back to this establishment nor will I be recommending it. **EDIT** I had told Mark numerous times that I do believe the battery was the issue but was told that would be irrelevant due to it being 1) the crank shaft and then 2) GEM Module and PCM. Not once did I ever discourage mark to take a look at the battery, again he told me that was not the case even after I told him I thoroughly believed the battery was the issue. And then to be charged for a diagnostic that I was told could not be fixed is absurd. The comment you made about my “funds” is untrue and super unprofessional. I hope in the future this company takes as much time into better training their staff as they do with unprofessional comments to customers.

Every single thing that was supposed to be fixed wasn't. Actually made things worse. Would not recommend at all to anyone. Screwed up a basic oil change and girlfriend of mine said same thing. Seems like they price gouge people who aren't car savvy. Stay far away from this guy. Mechanics name was Mark. My friend literally posted her review right before me yet it's somehow magically disappeared from his reviews. He's rated so high because he deletes negative reviews. Scammer if I've ever seen one. Be very wary of this business

I had a very bad experience and would not recommend this shop. I had an issue where all the power steering fluid was leaking out of my car and the steering was very hard to use. Initially they were very pleasant and fast, but the repair was not done correctly. Like, at all. It didn't seem quite right at first, and we brought it right back in and they said "someone had forgotten to tighten something," and "fixed it" real quick. Less than 2 months later, and the same exact symptoms I had before the repair had returned. Literally it was as if the repair had never been done, and this was AFTER I had paid them to replace an expensive rack and pinion. They admitted to absolutely nothing, and had the nerve to try to convince us that oil change technicians must have bent something in the steering system in order to get money out of us. How can they accuse another shop of doing such a thing when the whole problem was caused by THEM not fixing the problem the first time? And we never even had an oil change. Literally no one touched it but them. Now i'm wondering if I even needed a new (expensive) rack and pinion, because obviously whatever the real issue was had not been fully resolved. Somehow they actually milked another $89 out of my husband for this last "repair" to fix their own botched work, after trying to trick him into blaming someone other than them. I just wish I could go back in time and go somewhere else.

Omega Auto Repair is affordable, honest and like family. Heck, maybe even better than family because no one in my family would repair my car for the same price! I highly recommend Joe, Mark and the crew and trust them with my repairs. Thanks to their service I've got over 170k on my 2005 Honda Civic and I expect they'll keep it running for another 100k more. Really, no matter what kind of car you have and whatever your budget needs are, these are the people you want to take your car too. They are my go2 and they'll be yours too!

Every time I go to an auto repair place for routine service, I am always told about "other" repairs they feel they need to do. Omega isn't like that! By recommendation, I stopped by to have a check engine light diagnosed. Mark was more than accommodating to stop what he was doing to check out my car and found out that I needed some work done. He was available to take me car in the next day. I was called with the list of required service and agreed on what to do at that time. Parts were ordered and service was completed the next day ahead schedule. I'm back on the road. Definitely my garage of choice!

These guys are the best!! Great quality work for good prices! The owner was very accommodating to me and my 3month old as we waited for my car. They listened to my concerns, fixed the problems and didnt try to trick me into fixing stuff i didnt need, like some places can be towards customer without auto knowledge. Glad to have a shop i can trust for my family vehicle! I am and will continue to be a returning customer :)

Outstanding Service at affordable prices. These guys really know their cars, and will save you money by not jerking you around like some of the larger corporations. Goodyear told me I needed a new battery and afterwards mysteriously my car refused to start. They then tried to tell me it was a bad alternator. The guys at Omega said that it was simply my battery terminals that needed to be cleaned. I have had no problems since. Everyone needs a trusted car guy. I feel like I found one with Omega.

I have been coming to Omega for all of my auto maintenance since I moved to Jacksonville 10 years ago. Mark is absolutely outstanding: fair, honest, and super fast. The family that runs this shop is very friendly, fair, and helpful. The customer service is excellent. Whether I take my car for just an oil change or for something more serious I know I can trust them. Once, I had my car battery replaced with a dud battery (not their fault) and when my car would not start all the way out at Jax beach they drove out there themselves to bring it back to the shop instead of making me have it towed. The shop does not have a lot of overhead expenses like a big fancy waiting room so they are able to charge a fair price.

Mark is an awesome mechanic! Every issue I’ve had with any of my family vehicles has been taken care of by Omega. Honestly he is the only mechanic in Jacksonville I trust. I would highly recommend omega car repair to anyone looking for a new repair shop! I’ve been there a couple times now, and both times the guys there have been efficient, accommodating, and reasonably priced. As a girl who doesn’t know anything about cars, I hate to say it, but it would be easy to overcharge me. However, it’s been way under what I was expecting both times I’ve had my car worked on. It is apparent in the way that they talk that they have integrity, and they are trustworthy. Plus it’s a small family owned business, so there is no middle man, and you know exactly who your money is going to.

Great auto shop! Mark is easygoing and great to work with. Due to complications with my 2010 subaru, he wasn't able to completely fix the issue I came in for, but still took care of some big repairs, talked me through next steps I could take, and cut me a deal on price since the issue wasn't totally resolved. Highly recommend this shop, will definitely be back!
