I think costs were in line with comparable foreign car repair centers, but I specifically liked the communication and feel very good about Pacific Motor Service! Oh, and “Mouse” is running GREAT!

Had a really positive experience with Kyle and all the staff at this place. I came in for a noise and left with my windshield wiper sprays repaired, and overdue service completed. The noise was a rusted piece under the car that I didn’t need. They gave me realistic and fair quotes and told me what was really needed and what I could wait to do in the future. They were super friendly and also good at explaining car stuff that I didn’t understand. I showed up for an appointment with a kayak on my car and it was too tall for their bay so they helped me pull it off and put it back on. I’m definitely coming back again!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Pacific Motor Service. I’d been dealing with an incredibly frustrating, long-term check engine light issue (P0106) that other sensors and repairs just never seemed to fully solve. The team here took the time to properly diagnose the problem, explain their findings clearly, and verify the actual cause instead of just throwing more parts at it. They tested the MAP sensor correctly, confirmed the voltage and vacuum specs, and ultimately installed a quality NTK replacement that finally fixed the issue for good. They were thorough, honest, and communicated every step of the process. Best of all, the repair held up perfectly — my car passed smog with zero problems. Professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely customer-focused. If you want a shop that does things the right way and stands behind their work, Pacific Motor Service is the place to go. Brought my car here (2007 bmw m6) bc engine was having misfires and had them diagnose. Gentleman who helped me was nice. They told me I needed new spark plugs and ignition coils, quoted me $4,100 to do all 20 (10 cyl). Something like $2200 for parts and $1800 for 6 hours of labor. I towed the car back to my house and did it myself for $1200 with all oem parts… in 6 hours. I’ve never done engine work before, youtubed it, and it took me the same amount of time they quoted me for their professional mechanic. It’s almost insulting how much they asked for spark plugs and ignition coils.

Erica (Front desk) was very kind and kept me well informed throughout the visit. I was only there for a short time for an oil change, but they offered a shuttle service if I didn’t want to wait at the shop. During their complimentary 68 point inspection they found a leak on the on the valve gasket/cover, they were honest with us that the leak was not significant and it could wait to be repaired if need be. I requested an estimate for the repair and they were very prompt having the estimate to me within a couple hours. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mechanic.

The best people to think of when someone mentions P.M.S. - they're the only ones my grandmother trusted with her '97 Odyssey, and boy am I thankful she kept 20 years worth of records. Now (January 2026) they're my first choice for van repairs. Hopefully we can make it back to the coast safely! Currently still jammed up in the Midwestern zone 🙃 just being calm.
