Pat's Tire Service still provides auto care the way it was done in the 1950's and 1960's. They are professional, honest, and sincere in their car services. I have been going there for over 25 years and never once had a problem or an issue. A company you can trust 100%.

This is the exact type of shop EVERYONE fears and tries to avoid. And I don't leave these types of comments in response to mistakes. I only leave them after I've given the business an opportunity to make things right and they fail to even attempt to do so. Good businesses don't get called scammers regularly in their reviews. Scammers do. As a new customer, I've brought 2 vehicles in just in recent weeks. This week I called to schedule work on both cars but wanted to clarify the work and pricing for the vehicle coming first. I specifically addressed my concern of being ripped off for exactly what I describe below. I needed a simple $40 switch twisted on, which literally takes as long as opening a soda cap. However, just to change the switch, I have to pay $200+ to have the freon removed, then recharged. After completion, my AC was still not working so I paid another ½hr of labor for diagnostics. I don't expect free work or diagnosis, but a good tech could have used his multimeter ahead of time and taken seconds to test the switch. At which he could sell me on a full diagnostic to identify the actual issue. But this isn't an honest shop looking to do the right thing. They're just looking for the quick buck. Keep in mind 1 second of work rounds up to a 30 minute charge. And both the labor for the vac/recharge and the diagnosis are both charged separately, and both times are rounded up. So the work gets done and it turns out my AC was basically dead. My wife gets home with the receipt and I see they charged me $70 for the switch. I called to notify them and they claim they charged me ½ hour of labor, $70, to screw the switch in lol. Despite already paying for work on a running clock, all related to the same job, they charged me a whole new ½ hour of work for literally 4 seconds of work. This is dirty dirty work. This is theft. This is exploitation. And it may be worth risking another $125 to see if a magistrate agrees with me. David, who has no business dealing with customers told me, "I don't mean to be a smart ass, but we gotta get paid." I suggest honest work then David, like your customers that working hard to earn theirs. I thought speaking with managment would make a difference but Douglas was even worse and somehow blamed my wife, who dropped the car off. This is just terrible business. Especially considering I paid $300 just to be told my AC is dead. No honest business would be charging that fee as is, but a decent one would atleast remove the charge at this point. This shop is neither. They are the typical shop looking to scam and exploit their customers. Douglas even admitted they shouldn't have put the part in without a diagnosis. Yet, they did. You have to be a horrible business to not understand the cost of losing my business just this week alone, nevermind moving forward. All over a $70 profit you didn't even earn. In the end, it's a small price to pay and probably saved me much more in the long run. Avoid this business

I came in for a safety inspection. They got me done quickly and noticed a pinhole in one tire. They recommended a patch. I was inspected, patched and on my way in less than an hour. Excellent service. Very reasonable price. 5 stars.
