I was promised a refund for a faulty service I was given on July 3. I’ve called the store over 14 times, and I have not had a resolution. Every time I am advised to wait for the manager to call back. I’ve spoken to the manager directly a few times who promises it is coming in the mail from corporate and will check on it, but nothing. The dye damage in my Jeep from the mechanic (who has since been fired) cost me even more money, when it was a simple diagnostic. Waste of time, money. The regional manager has been contacted twice, to my knowledge, and has not resolved the issue either.

I am so grateful to the guys in the Orange Pep Boys. I had brake work done in Bpt on 10/5 and went back on 16th for the noises and found them closed. But the worst of that is the mess of my brakes the mechanic Charles found. Bpt had removed and didn't replace my emergency brake pads and a bolt for one of them (Orange repaired and provided emerg pads FREE OF CHARGE), Bpt told me my front brakes were good, Orange says they are not so and get them done asap. The big kicker, Bpt didn't tell me my front driver TIRE was about to FALL OFF. It needed a ball bearing and the whole Hub assembly. That was the screeching sound. I really think Bridgeport was trying to kill me. Anyone know a good lawyer 🤔. ORANGE PEP BOYS ARE ON THE MONEY.

Waited 2 1/2 hours for tire change . The last hour and half there was no one else in area waiting. There were no other cars visible in the garage. I could see 3 empty slots in the garage. They all ate lunch while I sat there. I don’t know what they needed a break from, they weren’t doing anything. HOW ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. At pep boys employees break come first. Then the lazy guys couldn’t even bother to put the spare tire back in the slot properly. I had to put it away. And it would be nice if they would hav filled the other tires with air to match the one they put on. Slow lazy service!

Don't even bother. I had an appointment for 1pm. To have a flat tire plugged. At 2:30 I asked when it would be done. He said he had 1 tech and 5 cars... So I left. Extremely unprofessional. Shared no information for 90minutes. He also took people in who came in after me. I'm not sure why they even take appointments.

Called ahead, confirmed with rep they would do the tire plug. Spent my Sunday afternoon going there to get it done, was turned away by the technicians claiming they had a policy if two punctures they would not patch and the person I talked to “ probably sounds like from another country and there’s no females that work here” . I called back the same female rep answered. She apologized, admitted it was her and claimed a manger would call me following morning. No one called. Never have I been so irritated and disappointed with a company over tires. They didn’t even check to see if they had one in stock to replace it. Seemed just last like they wanted to leave and not do anything else before the end of the day… the exact reason I called ahead to avoid.

I was scheduled for a wheel alignment for a location that is indefinitely closed and a day that their "alignment guy" isn't there. Called on Tuesday the 19th and scheduled for Sunday the 26th. What if I had driven all the way to Orange the county location? Omar (the assistant manager) wasn't even really sorry all he said was we can only reschedule "brother". I was also in the system scheduled for this service. As managers you dont check the customer scheduling? Never came here and never will.

I took my car there to check the electrical issue. My battery kept dying but my regular mechanic said the battery itself, the alternator and the fuses are fine. He doesn't do electrical work so I took it to Pep Boys. They quoted me $140 for diagnosis. They had my car for 3 days and kept looking. They didn't give up and kept looking for the issue. Eventually they figured out that it was a computer issue so they reset it. The only thing that upset me was that my car was done and ready for pick up on Sunday but noone called me to pick it up till Monday. Well... I had to go to work on Monday and I didn't have a car. Luckily I can work from home if I have to. Other than that, I'm happy with the service and was only charged $140 they originally quoted me.

I went to Pep Boys at the Orange, CT, location because the one in Bridgeport closed, and no surprise why. My a/c compressor stopped working even though it, along with a pulley and serpentine belt was replaced at the Bridgeport location. Turned out the old seals were used, and that's why my a/c compressor stopped working. Ramon at the Orange location worked on my vehicle and both explained the issue and showed me as well. In addition, he saw that the engine mount was cracked and needed to be replaced. Remarkably, the technicians at the Bridgeport location were not only wilfully callous but also extremely negligent and lazy. They didn't care that their work was endangering the lives of customers and ruining Pep Boy's reputation, but also opening them up for lawsuits. I trusted that the work was completed correctly and had even given them good reviews. And for what? So that the work isn't finished properly? This is how reputations are irreparably harmed and businesses end up closed. I'm just glad that Ramon was the one who worked on my vehicle this time, and he was patient and caring. I'm very happy with my results. Thank you so much, Ramon, for your awesome work, and thank you to Seraphin and the rest of your crew for the awesome service you gave me today. I truly appreciate it.
