I brought it in for a simple belt replacement and they broke my oil housing. They then didn’t catch it in their outgoing inspection so when I got car back it reeked of oil and was leaking profusely. Then they wouldn’t take responsibility.

My tire light came on as I was leaving my home. I went to the tire store where I purchased my tires. They put air in all of my tires. However, as they were putting air in the driver side back tire. I spotted a nail. I was informed that they couldn’t help with the nail. They were completely booked. However, the technician referenced Pep Boys which was located within the same area. I took there advice. I drove over to Pep Boys. I grateful for the referral. The service was excellent from the front desk to check out. Pep Boys repaired my tire. I am very appreciative of the professional service.

Didn’t pass my vehicle for “low tread” on tires. Took it to another place and it passed, was to there’s some wear on the outside but still in the passing range. Guess the second place didn’t just want to sell me new tires. Also, even with an appointment, car did not start getting worked on for approx. 45 minutes so I had to wait for the joy of being oversold. Avoid this place.

⭐ WARNING – DO NOT GET ANY WORK DONE HERE! ⭐ I came in to have my airbag light fixed. I’d already tried replacing the front right ABS sensor based on an AutoZone code, but the light stayed on. I then asked Pep Boys to do their own diagnosis. They told me the issue was the front right wheel bearing and that fixing it would solve the problem. After paying for that repair, the airbag light was still on. When I went back, the technician acted confused and said, “What light are you talking about?” Then he told me the repairs they just did weren’t related and suggested I “drive around for a week to see if it turns off.” The next day, they quoted me $3,443 to replace the driver’s side airbag. I got a second opinion at the dealership—it was actually just a clock spring issue! Mitch, the PepBoys manager, tried to gaslight me and say that when I first came in he told me that Pep Boys doesn’t even work on airbags due to safety concerns, even though Dylan quoted me over $3,000 to perform an airbag replacement... They misdiagnosed my car multiple times and almost cost me $4,000 for nothing. Terrible service and zero accountability. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

I just got pulled over for my headlight being out. Guess who just spent hours sitting at Mavis for my headlight to be replaced?? Yep. Me. So I look up at my oil change sticker, to let the cop know what date I had had my headlight replaced and guess what?? No oil change sticker. So they had my car for several hours, charged me almost $200 and apparently did nothing? Do I have any evidence they performed any work at all?? Cool mavis, real cool. I'll be back tomorrow morning for yall to perform the services I've already paid for, and then you surely won't see me again.

I had an 8:30 a.m. appointment on February 7 for a tire repair and arrived on time. My vehicle was not brought into the service area until approximately 9:30 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., I had to request a status update and was then informed that the tire was not repairable. No proactive communication was provided during the two and a half hours I was waiting. Had I not asked, I would have continued waiting without an update. I also did not feel acknowledged while waiting and experienced a noticeable lack of empathy from staff. If appointment times are offered, they should reflect actual service capacity and include clear, proactive communication. This experience suggests an opportunity for improved customer service standards and appointment management.

Paid $3300 for the main problem to not be fixed. If I ask for a full diagnostic…. That means the check engine light that’s on. If you’re thinking about going here for specific problems I’d just go ahead and buy a new car or find someone you trust. With a woman working the front desk I was hoping the stereotypes weren’t true. Went to someone after and they said I got completely ripped off for the price I paid. Unfortunately needed my car fixed so I had to get it done, but was hoping I’d actually be able to drive my car after spending that much. Went to autozone and they told me the actual problem in less than 5 minutes. Pep boys of Harrisburg returned my car late making me late for work, didn’t fix all issues and picked what they wanted to fix, read complaints from other customers who weren’t happy loud enough for waiting customers to hear in the waiting room. Overall if I could give them a 0/5 I would.

The “manager” I guess was MITCH. Oil cap was left off. Half my oil I just got changed is gone. I paid $102. Probably someone new, sure hope my car is okay. Going tomorrow to get this fixed, this is not professional.
