These fellows at this store did a fine job and i am pleased. I went to another pep boys nearby the day before and the tires i ordered two weeks ago were not there when i arrived. No call, nothing to tell be before spending $12 in fuel and my time to get there. I cancelled and was not going ack to Pep Boys but gave one last try at the other Lancaster store. They had them and fixed me right up. No starts to the first store. Five stars to this one.

I was told by four different people not to take my vehicle there, but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt and just walking in the door told me everything. Gave the company a chance and just kept getting red flag after red flag, The main red flag was when they told me my spark plugs, looked very old, when they were just replaced two months ago. No courtesy service at all.

Excellent experience! I brought in my rental car the day after Thanksgiving for a flat tire. Despite being very busy on the holiday Friday, Luis and the team completed the work within a few hours, even though I didn't have an appointment. It was a patch/plug for a puncture. The process was clear, honest, efficient, and professional. The cost was very fair. I would be happy to use this shop again in the future!

I bought 4 new pirelli tires at 4th ave brooklyn ny location on 4/16/25 cost was 1300.00 with installation and alignment.(you would think the car would drive like new or close to new). 4/19/25 We took a trip to Pennsylvania lancaster for the Easter weekend. That's when I notice my tires were not properly balanced once i drove 65mph my steering wheel was shaking my wife could feel vibration on feet and her seat . I had to drive 55 in a 70mph highway, we didn't feel safe at all. Next morning I took my car to the fruitville pike pepboys location on 4/20/25 Easter Sunday they said they rebalanced all tires and that was a lie. I drove back on the hwy and I had the same problem. That Monday 4/21/25 I tried the pepboys on Lincoln hwy. I was welcomed by LARRY / RAY I told Larry what was happening and they took my car and they treated my car as if it was their own. They took their time Larry gave me updates and they discovered both rear tires were severely out of balance. They rebalanced the tires checked everything they took pride in their craftsmanship and it showed. I drove my car back to brooklyn ny and I felt safe. I was driving 75mph and it felt as if I was waiting at a red light, no shaking no vibration. My car drives really smooth feels brand new thanks to Larry and Ray. These guys are experts in their craft. Go to them for service for your car maintenance. Thank you guys for your help and efforts.

I went in for a simple tire replacement, had an appointment for 9AM. I dropped it off at 8:40am and didn't receive a call about it till 11:00AM in which they asked what tires i wanted changed. it wasn't until I called at 12:30pm did they tell me the car just got lowered and they are torquing the wheels and that it would be another 30-40mins. the clerk told me it would take 30 mins once up on the lift and shouldn't be that long. what's the point of the appointment if you don't start working on the car till 11? terrible experience will never come back and do yourself a favor and hit up a mechanic.

Took my car here for an oil leak fix. They had my car over than what they told me, I had to contact them multiple times for a date and they kept saying the next day. I paid a very large amount, and got my car after a week and a half. I drove my car about a day and a half before my temperature gauge went out, it wasn't happening before. Took my car to the dealership to figure out that my car was still leaking oil in the places that pep boys said they fixed! Pep boys charged me labor for like $168 an hour and they didn't even do the fixes they said they did. I'm very disappointed in this place and I will not be coming back.

Mixed bag of ratings here. I took my sons Honda in for an engine light (he had to go back to college so i was pressed for time.) PB was initially very responsive, giving me prices/time frame. Said hopefully finish same day. I called 30 min prior to close (6:00) because I didn't get a call. No answer. Went to PB at 5:50 just to find out what was going on. No one there. Called while in the store. No one came for 10 min. Finally someone came out and talked to me, said it wasn't done, but he would stay to finish it up. This guy, Casey, was fantastic. Showed up following morning at Open. Everything done. The problem is, the first guy I talked to (L***y) said he would give me a discount of close to 200.00 but he wasn't there. The guy at the counter wouldn't give me the discounts. Car is fixed, but make sure you get everything in writing. Casey 5.0 Everyone else 2.0

I bought 4 new tires 11,000 miles ago. I purchased Goodyear Wrangler knobby tires. 1 of the tires exploded for no reason. I was under the impression they were under warranty. The Pep Boys clerk, Larry, told me he'd work it out for me. I got there & they hsd me there for 3 hours. They charged me $568 to replace 2 defective tires. Larry didn't give me any deals & failed to mention there were recalls on the tires.He blamed previous employees that were fired but did nothing but BS'd me & took my mone. Slimy employees & a slimy company. I will never go to Pep Boys again & neither should anyone reading this review.

a horrible experience, terrible service, I went for an alignment and when I left my car was still pulling away, I asked again what had happened and they told me to try the car again, when I left it was still going to one side, I went back to make an appointment for 2 weeks later and when I went they told me it was ready and again the car was still bad, I asked if the car had any damage and if I could speak to the mechanic, the only answer they gave me was that the mechanic had already left. I hadn't been out of the store for 5 minutes and apparently he had left, they charged me for everything and never gave me the reason for the problem or a solution

They flushed my coolant. Then, the radiator started leaking. They said that it was just a coincidence and didn’t take any responsibility for it. Now, I have to change my radiator. I called pep boys customer service. They said they would investigate the matter and get back to me. They never did. Very disappointing.

Helped me out after I took it to another place that mistook "lifetime warranty" with a week and a half brake job! Andy was fantastic and if you have kids he will gladly make balloon animals for them while you wait! They are fast although if you enjoy playing live action Frogger crossing dangerous street you can go to an L shaped collection of stores including; Dollar tree, Ollie's, Burlington, Gabe's Harbor Freights & the always uplifting PA Motor vehicles! They have pretty cool products in store. Good things!!! Oh I was jk about balloon animals.

Great tires , make sure you take pictures of your car before you hand the keys over because they scratched up all 4 of my wheels .. & yea that's the way the guy left my wheels .. great tires but destroyed my rims I wouldn't have bought the car with wheels scratched, and the guy had a hard time with wheel lock 🔒

This has to stop. Let's start from the top So I go to take my car in for a scheduled alignment 8am. Drop the car off,..⌚ 1pm wondering hmm is it done🤷🏾♂️. I called up, and the first thing said, "oh I meant to call, we can't do it cause you need better tires". Tried to quote me for tires. So hard no. I come get my car. I got tires then returned with the car almost a week later and it didn't get done. Another shop did the work. So later I bring the car for steering/suspension check. Priced us $40.80. and was told by this spicy master lazy mechanic Axle and tie rods. He gave a quote. almost $900 I have the ticket...hard no. Got it done saved $450 elsewhere. But Upon leaving that day. The car was making a scraping sound on the left front. They don't know it needs alignment and tires..... So No alignment, bad tires, and the bad weather started this day 1/14/25 I have the ticket. So driving was horrid whatever they didn't put back together Correctly the steering locked up cuz the computer is reading something is wrong. The traction control goes on and off and says it's in unsafe conditions. A hill start indicator goes off, and to now service the advancetrac (FORDS TRACTION CONTROL). I limp it home and take it to the shop. So while it is being fixed elsewhere, the MECHANICS call to report. "As we are fixing the axle and rods, we noticed some parts not clamped back completely, which could have tripped up your traction control error. So duh! Math is math but accountability is hard to come by. So we ignored even calling to ask them to relook at it, but we still need our tires on and an alignment. So we call up, schedule an appointment and we need 4 tires on and an alignment. So 2/4/25 11am bring the car. No problem.Drop the car off meet this new dude with no dirt under his fingers who is supposedly new too and wanna fix up the place. So i say. "Well when we pulled up the 2 workers sitting in the lobby literally ran away as we got out the car" and they just started smoking dead in the shop while we were standing there and we can see through the window "No tint on the windows, why they run what y'all hate working" it was ha ha, let's laugh it off. So whatever I explain the issue with car well i tried to give heads up. About the steering and our last visit. With the receipt per your last review. I'm having the issue cuz of this reason. HE IS TOTALLY NONCHALANTLY "Oh ok we got this, no problem" Call Uber, get home. Phone ring, " we can't turn the wheel and all of a sudden our tech isn't here that does this" well yes we need the tires on and an alignment per your last evaluation. "Well the tech isn't here" basically someone with muscle to pull in a car with no power steering. Well I'm not coming back just out the tires on. "Ok we will do it tomorrow". Ok whatever we hang up. So now my car is sitting in the lot until tomorrow with 4 brand new tires in it. I don't have tint on my windows. So today 2/5/25 I call at 9am. He will you guys put on my tires today. "Yes, I'll call you once we are done" Great no problem. All day happened and I remember the car. So 3:05pm I call "was wondering if you put the tires on yet"? "Oh yeah I was just about to call you". Ok I'm omw I hang up... Get there in the Uber so 3:45pm I walk up to the counter of silence. Burger King sprawled over the desk just being a pig and having casual convo...So after no customer service I ask are you ringing us up? "Yeah im doing it right now". I reply "well who would have known, you didn't acknowledge us or nothing just talking" He literally replies." well cuz you hung up on me". I snapped " are you kidding we keep coming here getting played with ring me up so we can leave" so now clean fingers trying to resolve it by cashing us out. so we won't keep going back and forth but I'm still explaining the thing they now telling us isn't the issue is what they themselves told us is the issue. And as we are pulling tickets now everybody is coming to oh snap we gave them that diagnostic. 20 min later another mechanic steering fixed. A rep called, said I'm wrong also.

Pep boys performed a vehicle alignment on my 2007 Suburban. After a couple days, started hearing a loud banging noise. When I was able to find some time time to inspect my vehicle I discovered that they never tightened my upper control arm bolts. This caused damage to my vehicle and could have caused a major accident. I contacted customer service who filed a complaint and I was contacted my the store manager Larry. We made an appointment for 3pm 5/14/2025. When I showed up for my appointment Larry was not there and none of the employees were aware of the situation. I asked the employee helping me to contact Larry and was told that if I became belligerent or started yelling that I would be kicked out of the store. At no time during any of this interaction was I yelling, being belligerent or even raise my voice. Larry and his employee were both very disrespectful on the phone as well as in person and I do not feel comfortable allowing them to touch my vehicle after the multiple previous issues.
