Staff were polite and friendly. Kept me informed. Of course with inflation I’m not excited about the price but they tried to offer as many discounts as possible which I appreciated.

Run in the opposite direction! This location embodies the shifty mechanic's reputation. They will hustle customers every. Single. Time. My family members have been to this location more than once, and it's always the same, regardless of the service offered. Introductory pricing and LAYERS UPON LAYERS of additional add-ons that are not necessary just to inflate the final pricing. Ask for final pricing upfront if you dare trust their workmanship. Horrible experience. I sat in the waiting area and watched the mechanics play around doing very little IF ANY WORK until the manager came into the store. After he came in, it was all productivity. Do better, Union City! Serve your community with quality over quantity! They will see no more of my dollars and will never get a recommendation out of me!

If you want the job done right dont even think about this place. Installed my tires wrong orientation and didn’t even bother balancing.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this establishment. I brought my car in for a simple oil change, yet I was there for nearly three hours. This would be understandable if it had been busy, but it wasn’t, making the long wait completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the staff demonstrated a lack of professionalism. One employee made sarcastic jokes that were far from amusing. After spending my hard-earned money, the last thing I need is to endure anyone's ridiculous humor. To top it all off, I made it almost back home—just five minutes away—only to discover that the splash guard wasn't reattached correctly. When I returned, the service manager instantly recognized the issue, which felt almost deliberate. This entire experience was utterly unsatisfactory, and I will not be returning to this place again.

Great experience! Everyone was very professional. Shout out to Hakeem, and I wish I could remember the rest of the staff. Especially the managers on duty. Looking forward to my next visit. Next visit, oil change.

I'd never used Pep Boys before and just moved into my area. As I was getting ready to leave for work, my driver side window rolled down but would not roll back up. Since Pep Boys is a chain and has been around for a long time, I made an appointment for 9am online. I arrived a little early and got checked in but at 10:30am, my vehicle was still parked in the same spot. While my vehicle was still in the exact same spot, they said they ran a dignostic and that I needed a new regulator and motor assembly. The price they quoted me was a lot more expensive than I had been quoted by another national chain for my passenger window when the same thing happened less than a year ago. I gave them the benefit of the doubt regarding the diagnostics because maybe I just didn't see someone bring diagnostic equipment across the parking lot. But, because of the high price, I asked for them to just fix the window in place since the price was exorbitant and I just wanted to get out of there. A different competitor had done the same for me last year with my passenger window when I was out of town and put a stop inside the door until I could it fixed when I got home. Pep Boys on the other hand? They wedged a piece of junk mail between my window and frame and charged me over $150 (the alleged diagnostics and "fix"). I didn't realize their "fix" until after I had already paid and gotten my keys. The window is already starting to slide down.

I came to Pep Boys because I woke up with a nail in my tire. From the moment I walked in Mr. Kenneth was friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. The pricing was amazing. The service was very quick. All staff members were so friendly. 10/10 highly recommend especially Mr.Kenneth. Mr.Jalen, the mechanic also was so amazing. I watched as he worked on my car and he handled it quickly but still with great care and without cutting corners.

I came here like October or November to replace my brakes, after they finished they tried to persuade me to believe that my car has been making a loud scraping which I know for a fact it wasn’t and the told me I needed a new wheel bearing to fix it. Long story short when they put my brakes on they didn’t put everything back correctly causing something to scrap my motor, imagine if I paid a bunch of money for a wheel bearing I didn’t need

I had a nail in my tire. I purchased from a different store. My repair was made at the Union City, GA store. The Manager, Mr, Jason was helpful and kind along with the attendants at the location. Pep Boys have lived up to their warranties. Thank You. LD Townes

Good people. Im a trucker and was on my way home after being gone all week picked something up on the road. Went to buy tires , but they didn't have them in stock , but they tried to patch it for but there were nails in all the wrong spots. They put on my spare for me and tried not to charge me. I literally had to force them to take some sort of compensation . If they weren't so far away from my home they'd be my go to tire shop. You just cant find people like the guys in this particular store

Took my 2016 Silverado in on 10/13/25 for an O₂ sensor issue. They kept my truck until 10/16. Within 8 hours the check engine light was back on. Returned 10/18, same repair. On 10/20, light came back again by 2pm. Zero follow-up after the manager promised a call. As of 11/6, they now claim it's the fuel pump, after charging me $465 for sensor work that didn’t fix anything — and now want $1,600 more. Terrible diagnosis, communication, and accountability. This is my only vehicle for work. Avoid Pep Boys Union City, GA.

Took my car in because it was overheating. Had to replace the radiator. Got it fixed + warranty for $2100+. 3 days later the heater core is clogs. They claimed to have checked it before I left the first time, but it wasn’t shown to be checked on the diagnostic. I was told the repair usually cost around $800 but they’d only charge me for the labor their technician did. I know they didn’t do that out of the kindness of their heart. That was their way of admitting they messed up. If your technician missed an additional problem that was caused by the initial problem, why am I being asked to pay the new technician. Their payment should have come from the store directly since they are the ones that missed the problem in the end. There techs are just guys that barely know what they’re doing. Wouldn’t recommend again.

One day after picking up my vehicle, the check engine light came back on and the same issue started. The guy Frank has absolutely zero customer service skills. He treated me as if I owed him money and not realizing the inconvenience caused by me working a 12 hour shift and having to bring my vehicle back because of a problem they didn't fix the first time

My vehicle was towed into shop, I was told what work was needed and I agreed to the service. When I picked my vehicle up that afternoon check engine light was off, later that afternoon it was back on. And I had the same issues, took the vehicle back and I was told they couldn’t check the vehicle throughly because the smoke machine was down when they did the diagnostic, now I have to wait until it’s repaired. I feel like I received service I truly didn’t need, they should not have done a diagnostic if equipment was down.

Just hung up from the gentleman working today on 1123. We were on the phone and his patience, kindness, and concern about my vehicle meant more than enough! Thank you for your great customer service and happy holidays to you when your crew.

I brought my 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300 to this Pep Boys on September 8 for a brake inspection and was told my brakes were “fine,” with only rear pads replaced. Immediately after the service, my brakes continued to squeak, especially when reversing. When I called, I was told this was “normal for new brakes” and to give it time. Months later, when the issue never resolved, I returned and was suddenly told that my front rotors and rear rotors/drums now need replacement, with a quote of $1,100. This raised serious concerns, as those issues should have been identified during the original inspection. What made this experience worse was how it was handled. I was told work was being done on my car when it was still parked and untouched. I requested my inspection report from September 8, and the store manager (Mr. Frank) refused to provide it, saying it would take too long, then promised to call me when it was ready — which never happened. I also received an email later implying I never showed up for my appointment, followed by an automated service rating email the same day, which is completely inaccurate. When I raised my concerns, I was made to feel as though this situation was my fault, despite doing exactly what a customer is supposed to do — getting an inspection and following their guidance. I asked a simple question: What is the purpose of an inspection if issues are not accurately identified, resulting in much higher costs later? That question was never answered. Transparency and trust are critical when it comes to vehicle safety. Unfortunately, this location failed in both areas. I would strongly recommend customers get a second opinion and keep detailed records if choosing to come here.

This was my first experience at this Pep Boys, I drive a fleet vehicle and this was where the fleet company wanted me to take it to have the air conditioning looked at. It ended up being an issue with the engine and the vehicle needed to be kept over the weekend, so I got a ride home and returned on Monday to pick it up. The folks who I interacted with were nice to work with, the store itself is currently being renovated. The only thing I was going to mention was that the chairs in the waiting area were in rough shape. I noticed other customers not wanting to sit in them and opting to stand while they waited. It would be nice to have the chairs replaced, otherwise I had an overall good experience with this location.
