I made an appointment for tire mounting and balancing a week prior and prepaid thru the tire vendor for the service. I checked in 10 minutes before my appointment Rick checked me in and didn’t tell me the ETA but the email stated that it usually takes an average of 2 hours so I was under the impression that it may take up to 3 hours. They didn’t even touch my vehicle while they were still dealing with people who came long after me. I was upset and checked with Joseph who was at the counter that time he apologized and said another 2 hours. Nothing changed after that 2 hours and I had to go somewhere by that time they told me to come back the next day. I did that and this time it was Tyler who mounted the tire within 2 hours. But as soon as I pulled out, I knew something wrong because the car was shaking so bad when you reach 50 miles or above. IT WASNT BALANCED RIGHT!!!. So I had to make 3 trips to make my tire installed the right way after paying to do it upfront.

I called the Pep Boys location in Pearland to ask about the cost of a tire rotation. Joseph informed me of the cost - and recommended a specific day and time to come in to get the service completed. I showed up around 15 minutes prior to the time he advised me to come in but informed me that now was not a good time and that it would likely 2-3 hours to service my vehicle. During our call I had asked if I should schedule an appointment or even come in earlier in the morning, but he stated that I should be fine to just walk in at 10:00 am. I understand that customers will arrive whenever, and he may not be able to guarantee an appointment - but he also told me that scheduling an appointment also doesn't guarantee that I will even be seen at the time of my appointment and that appointments only make sense if you schedule them early in the morning. What is the point of allowing customers to schedule an appointment for service then? It would make sense in the future, Joseph, to advise potential customers that even if they schedule an appointment or walk in it may be several hours before you're seen. If this is true, this doesn't make any sense and should be changed on a corporate level. Disclaimer: I spoke with the store manager who insisted on making it right and told me to come in and they would complete the service in a timely manner which I appreciated.

I was treated poorly by Adrian the associate that helped me on my visit to this location. He informed me that I was way over my mileage for a tire rotation. He said it was Nov of 2022 but I told him it was recently but he insisted that he was right. I checked my email and showed him that I had one 4 weeks prior. He had an attitude about me letting him know that I was right about the time of the last tire rotation. If they were going to rotate them that day then the tires would be rotated back to the same place prior and my tires would be worn out quicker and I would need to replace them before time. I was explaining that to him and he cut me off while talking asking if I refused the rotation. Then I wasn't told if my tire was replaceable or if I needed a new tire. I was so upset on how I was treated. But Brett helped me out and agreed with me about what I was trying to tell Adrian. I had to get them rotated again. But they forgot to put two of my Nissan caps on my wheels. Needless to say, I will never visit this location again. They steal parts to your vehicle and that unacceptable. Employees treat your customers better.

If I can give this place a zero star I would and I waited this long for the review because I was giving this place the opportunity ,but after my visit today I had no choice but to write it. My dads truck has been here for over a month already , the first 2 weeks after the truck was dropped ,it stayed parked untouched and no one even looked at it , I would call and speak to the manager Rick and ask for any updates and I kept getting different stories, that the warranty hasn’t approved it yet and stuff, I called the warranty and they said that no one had reached out to them from pep boys about my dads vehicle , they lied to us just to keep us waiting I guess . those 2 weeks went by and finally after the 2 weeks of the truck sitting there they called the warranty , warranty took couple of days after that and requested for us the customer to approve for them to open up the vehicle and check it out , which we gave the approval, they checked it out found the issue and send the info to the warranty which warranty approved 2 days after . The approval was 2 weeks ago, note that pep boys is open Mon-Sun , Rick said he ordered the parts and that it will take a few days for them to arrive apparently, and I say apparently because at this point I don’t believe him anymore, then he updated me that the parts are there since a week ago ,and ever since he continued to lie to me, I asked him /ok you got the parts so is the tech working on it and he said the tech is off this was last Thursday and he said but he will start working on it Tuesday morning , so am assuming the tech was off Friday Saturday ,Sunday and Monday 🤦♀️ , today is Thursday so I said if this job is a 28hr job and it’s 3 days since the tech started working on the truck it should be done or almost done. , I decided to go check them out in person today and to my surprise the tech wasn’t even there because he was off again ,and I couldn’t speak to Rick because he wasn’t there either , and guess what ? my dads truck has not even been taken apart completely to do the job that it needs ,all the parts are there and the truck is sitting in the same place with only one side of the head gasket open same way it was 21 days ago , nothing has been done , zero progress , tech again is off. The problem is that this is my parents vehicle and they rely on it, my parents are old and they need their vehicle up and running amd it’s been over a month and this is unacceptable , it would have been better that they told me since day one that they were too busy or that they didn’t have enough techs to do this job, and we would have looked for another place who has the capability to start and finish a vehicle without having to hear excuse after excuse while our truck sits at a lift ,At this point I requested that we want the truck done asap, but very unsatisfied and not with the tech because I can’t say anything about him since he hasn’t even done the job yet ,but about the manager who keeps pushing this job behind and giving us excuses and lies. Based on this experience I don’t recommend this place that anyone.

Horrible customer service! Bought tires online and chose these people to do the installation. Miguel at PEP BOYS had no idea how to resolve not having a PO number from GIGA tires. I purchased these as a gift to my 81-year-old dad who walks with a cane, and this fool had my dad walking back and forth to get mileage, then to get something else, and then something else... Totally inept, zero resolution skills. Terrible communication skills and ZERO respect or manners. Had my dad sitting there for 2.5 hours, "waiting for the PO", that was never going to arrive given GIGA tires is not open on weekends. Absolutely disappointing experience. Can't give them a zero, but if I would if a possibility.

Just swung in here extremely last minute, on a sumday, and this location took care of me. They pulled 4 wheels and tires, pulled the tpms sensors, reprogrammed them, put them in 4 new wheels, mounted 4 new tires, and mounted all 4 new wheels. I'm extremely impressed. These guys are awesome. They were extremely careful with the new wheels also. Big thumbs up!

I would give zero stars if could. After wasting my time across two trips to this place that's a 30-minute drive each way, 1 hour round trip. After the first trip I was told the part was correct for my car, but not my engine. I left to go get the part I needed then had to go home. After driving back up the second time which is dangerous because my thermostat gasket housing is what I need fixed so my car doesn't overheat. I am told the mechanic might break a hose in my car because it is a brittle hose. During repair he will try not to break it, but if he does I will be financially responsible for replacing the hose, and can't drive my car home without the hose that might break. They don't carry the hose I need in-store, all their parts are delivered from somewhere else which I was not informed of before driving hour. If the hose breaks my car would have to stay until the part arrives and I would have to find someone or a rideshare to take me home and bring my car back. I called the first week of January to confirm parts, and cost of labor, and describe the problem needing to be fixed. I've called about four times across three weeks to confirm the price. I received three different quotes within that timeframe. They all kept going up. This person didn't add this or this person forgot this….. The person I spoke with and made my appointment with works at the League City location so nothing we covered over an hour made its way into the system. Todd did his best to help. The mechanic was laughing when he gave me my keys. Maybe he is racist and thinks the whole thing is funny. I don't know. I will never come back here. Th mechanic was cold and short every time I asked him a question and kept trying to find reasons why he couldn't fix my car. I think he thinks he won't make a lot to fix my car so he tried to find ways to get me to leave and that's why he was laughing when he handed my keys.

I feel like they have honest people working here. The manager, Rick (Richard) was a pleasure as well informed me and my husband that they have Master tech mechanics working there likely to be able to fix whatever you need. Also one of those techs came out and talked with my husband about his antique. Rick also told me they also had pick up service. Although, we haven't had actual work done, the experience was pleasant, and we will likely do business with this location.

So far my experience with this location has been limited to requesting a particular Interstate car battery be ordered for my 2018 Honda Fit. They said it would be in yesterday, but hey, sometimes things don't work out as planned logistically, etc etc. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of my experience here goes with the order, purchase, and installation of the battery.
