Went in to check on a ball joint replacement. They ended up giving me a whole list of things to be done. Including having my brakes done and my rotors!! My brakes were checked a few weeks previously by another auto shop, and I was told they are fine. They tried to come up with the excuse that my rotors experienced excessive heat, and that is why my brakes and rotors needed to be done. Even though I had 30 percent left on my brake pads according to them. I like giving business to local places, but very hard when people are unprofessional and not being honest. (This was the Show low facility not Mesa.)

I have taken my vehicle to Performance for work three times since 2022 and they have done outstanding work every time. My van is a unique 1995 Quigley 4x4 Ford EB350. In 2022, they outfitted her with excellent tires as well as doing maintenance such as oil & filter change, etc. In 2024, I took the van in for repacking the wheel bearings and front end work, a process which presented considerable difficulty due to the extreme corrosion in the wheels and front end. Some of the parts needed for replacement were non-stock due to the after market four wheel drive conversion. The mechanics were able to overcome the considerable difficulty of locating and replacing the parts; it was a challenge they met with excellent work. This week I took the van in with what I thought was a transmission problem; it turns out that their analysis showed that the problem shifting gears was that the catalytic converter was clogged and needed replaced. The original replacement converter they ordered did not fit but could have been adapted. Rather than do that, Randy went the extra mile and located a converter that fit perfectly and was $500 lower in price! They took excellent care of my vehicle and I highly recommend Performance Automotive. The staff is always friendly and encouraging and supportive. I will continue to take my vehicles to them for maintenance and repair

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at this Auto Shop. Performance auto killed it! I needed front end work in a pinch and they were able to get me in and up and running in the same day. I was so grateful, the shops supervisor (Stephen) was amazing. So helpful and very informative. Also a huge thanks to the mechanics that got the work done. If you want good quality work done right take your truck or car here.

They provided an oil change and an overview of what needed to be done to my car. The most important maintenance was apparently shocks and struts. I had them checked out by my personal mechanic and my shocks and struts were in perfect condition and they quoted me 2300 for something I didn't even need.

Performance Automotive keeps my 2004 Avalon and 2006 lincoln Mark LT in perfect running shape. With the cost of used cars these days, good and trustworthy mechanics are something we all need as a hedge against inflation. Why buy a new car when you already own a beauty? Before you buy, let Performace go over your car. I bet it's not as expensive to put your car back to "as good as new" as you might think.

I recently took my 2012 Ford Mustang to Performance Automotive and Tire Center for an alignment, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From scheduling my appointment over the phone to driving away, the team was courteous, professional, and a pleasure to work with. The facility is top-notch—you can watch your car being serviced from the comfort of the waiting room, where they also offer refreshments and entertainment. I had the pleasure of meeting Randy and Tony, the owner, both of whom were down-to-earth and transparent. They are exactly the kind of mechanics you hope to find—no hidden fees, no gimmicks, just honest, straightforward service. They performed a thorough inspection, explained an issue preventing the alignment, and never once pressured me into unnecessary repairs. While I ultimately decided to handle the needed replacement myself, they offered excellent financing options had I needed them. Once I replaced the part, I returned, and they completed the alignment service quickly and precisely—now my car drives perfectly straight. I highly recommend Performance Automotive and Tire Center and will definitely return for any future service needs!

i found this store on groupon for a great oil change price a while back, they inspected my car during the oil change and while i waited gave me free snacks and beverages, they sent me pictures of areas my car needed work so I could see what was wrong with it and offered finance loans through their partner companies since i couldnt afford it, other mechanics ive been to dont do any of that. its crazy how many people have left bad reviews for the complete wrong shop or for the workers telling them they needing more maintenance done then they wanted to hear so they gave one star. I got some of the work that absolutely needed to be done paid my loan quickly and easily and then my car ran very smooth afterwards. i have strongly recommended this store to my fiance and my dad when they had issues, my fiance went for a mystery issue the other day and not only did they give him a free rental car (which they also did with me) they fixed it in 2 days. this is a great place to go and I have had no negative experiences here so far.

Think twice before using this place!! The front end guys, Randy and Ike, are awesome and treat you great. You will even see that I gave them a 5 star rating on Yelp in December. But this time I had an issue and found that the owner, Tony, is worthless and unprofessional. They broke a wheel cover during a wheel alignment and Tony refused to accept responsibility and make it right. Instead I got to hear how he was a retired auto engineer and how they are making cars so much cheaper these days and out of plastic. Blah, blah, blah. So what..Not my fault and when I brought the car in that wheel cover wasn't broke and when they gave the car back it was broke. Don't have to be a retired auto engineer to figure that one out, but don't expect Tony to step up and be a real man to accept responsibility. (added after Tony's response) Well I think Tony did a good job of helping you all understand what I experienced when I raised my issue with him. Lots and lots of words, deflection away from the issue, and ZERO customer care. As a side note, it looks like Laura had a similar poor experience with the customer care after raising her concern - based on her review.

Bought a Groupon as a gift for a friend then purchased one for myself then was told that I couldn’t use it because it I exceeded the number of Groupons. When I asked why they would allow people to purchase more than one they just said take it up with Groupon all we can do is charge you the difference that you already paid lol yeah I don’t do business like that Bait and switch crap.

Althought I did not actually get service from this business, they went out of their way to help me. My truck broke down and limped it to the street in front of their shop. The owner actually came out and asked if I needed help and did a quick diagnostic and offered his services to delve further. As it was my regular mechanic came to my rescue. In these trying days, it was a pleasant surprise that someone was actually concerned for my dilema and offered assistance. I will be checking Performance out for future service.

Came in for a $29 oil change (Groupon)—left with an $84 quote, a blank stare, and a strong desire to never come back. Seems like a steep price for an oil change on a 2012 Corolla, when I can get the same service for my 2021 Tacoma for less. Customer service was so poor that I would just rather give my money to someone else.

I don't often go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but this shop has done a few things over the years that I felt were wrong: - At an oil change, they told my husband he needed all new struts on a 2 year old car. This was confirmed bogus by several other mechanics. - They refused to perform an alignment I had purchased until I got new control arms (and they gave me a pretty short window to get it done or I would forfeit the money I paid, basically holding my money hostage). When I had the control arms replaced by another mechanic, he said they were actually in pretty good shape and didn't need replacing, they just had surface-level bushing cracks commonly seen in desert climates. - On my last visit earlier this year, the front desk receptionist made a lewd comment to my husband while I was standing right there. When I said I was going to take my husband home while they worked on his car, he said to my husband , "I'd sure like her to take me home too" *wink wink* I haven't been back and I won't be back again.

I returned to this shop to get my struts done after they first recommended it during an oil change a few months back. I shopped around and got similar quotes elsewhere, but here they included a full inspection and test drive (fairly charged) and even threw in a free air filter, plus some discounts—excellent value. They were very accommodating—letting me drop my car off overnight, clearly explaining where to leave my keys, and offering a loaner car. Craig was friendly, fair, and respectful, and the staff made the whole experience smooth and easy. They even filled my bikes flat tire with air! Great service all around—I’d give them more than 5 starts if I could!
