amazing shop! I am from out of state and have never had anything done to my car in Colorado. I was carefully searching for a mechanic because I don't like to let those chain places work on my cars. I have an old Honda with some obvious issues, and I don't like mechanics trying to sell me parts that I don't need because my car is old and they think I don't know better. I went to Pete's on the recommendation of a friend and I am SO thankful I took my car here! I needed an inspection and a brake job, and I'm on a tight budget because I don't work much due to COVID. They worked with me on price, didn't try to sell me anything extra, and treated me professionally and respectfully even though I'm a young girl on my own in an unfamiliar city. I really appreciated every aspect of this place - affordability, professionalism and respect, quick turnaround time (just a few hours for a whole brake job!), and my brakes are great too. They were also able to work with me for another repair I need without breaking the bank. I will definitely be coming back for my future maintenance needs!

If I could give a zero, I would. While the car was in the shop, all four tires were stolen off of our car and replaced with dangerous, bald ones. My daughter could have been in a serious accident. Within minutes of leaving the garage (for A/C and fan belt repair), the front bumper and a wheel well fell off of the car. The next morning, a flat tire. The fact that new Bridgestones (less than 10K miles) were replaced with bald, 2017 Michelins was discovered by bringing the car to a tire shop. Really, really disappointing. Response to Pete's: You are responsible for the security of vehicles left in your care. I thought that this was a reputable business. Will never recommend.

Been coming here a few years now and couldn’t be happier with my experience. John is great. He always shoots you straight and doesn’t push unnecessary stuff on you. Just recently brought my car in and he found something wrong with my sway bar and struts and what not. It wasn’t what I brought it in for but he found it and it was the only really expensive fix he’s suggested since coming here. And I’m telling you my car is driving better than it has in a long time. It’s like I didn’t realize how bad it was until he fixed it. Like a new car. Worth every penny. All this to say this place is honest and thorough. What more could you want

I have always had great experiences at Pete's Garage. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and don't take advantage of people like me who don't know much about cars. They always fix only what I ask them to do and they only give recommendations on future repairs rather than pushing to get me to pay for non-urgent repairs. I always feel respected by the staff. The quality of their work is great and they have been helpful to me and able to squeeze me in multiple times when my car breaks down unexpectedly. I always recommend Pete's Garage to anyone I know in Boulder who needs a mechanic.

These guys hooked it up! Great prices and they went above and beyond with their service. I was stressed and they went out of their way to double check my concerns and ease my mind. I had my car repaired and they placed the wrong part. It cost me alot in additional repairs . When I confronted them about it they said oops, replaced it with the correct part without compensating me for their mistake which cost me greatly.

Really great, honest guys, with low prices. My old car had some weird problem and Abe tried a few things and figured it out, and didn't charge me for the failed ideas. He also could have easily charged me to fix something that another shop messed up, but he recommended I check the warranty on it with the other shop first, and saved me a few hundred.

Alternator went out on my truck. I needed a place that can get the job done, same day. I called 4-5 different shops only to tell me I'd have to wait a week to get it done. Pete's Garage was the only one that could get it done the same day. I didn't hesitate, made the appointment, called a tow truck company and had them take it to them. By end of day, it was a reasonable price for the job and they did it in a day. Truly grateful for their service and last minute job to be done. Thank you so much!!!!

Not once, but twice, these guys have “fixed” a problem only for it to re occur days later. Requesting payment to a Venmo account is also a huge red flag. I asked if they inspected the vehicle like I asked and they responded “we don’t usually do that but we can” then held it for another 24 hours. I would love to learn what these mechanics have earned certification and license wise because I would be shocked if it is anything substantial, accredited, or legitimate. Go anywhere else.

Fantastic!!! My daughter had been at school less than a week when she had a window failure. With storms starting the next day, and lasting the weekend I called Pete's Garage and prayed for the best. They got my girl in that day and took care of here problem promptly and professionally. I'm pretty decent at fixing things but I'm two hours away. Paid $985.86 at Pete’s Garage to replace the oil pan on my 2015 F-150. The repair was supposed to take 6 hours but took 2 days. After picking it up, I found the dipstick completely stuck during a long road trip. Another mechanic looked at it and said the dipstick was probably wedged into the new oil pan during the install—meaning the whole job needs to be redone. Poor workmanship and very frustrating experience. After some back and forth, they have decided to cover the cost for my mechanic to fix their mistake. I appreciate that they have taking care of this issue. I’d use them with a lot of caution.
