Peter worked on my '99 Porsche Boxster twice. Once to help me fix an ECU glitch and the other to fix a Brake Booster/Master cylinder problem. Both times the problem was non-standard and overly complicated. Both times, he was extra diligent and took the extra time needed to fix the problem. Both times, he explained what was wrong with the car, and how he would fix it. Both times, he patiently answered my naive questions and re-explained the car problems until the information finally found a way through my skull. And then, after all his time and energy, he only charged me a reasonable rate for fixing the problems! Peter is a professional and an honest guy. I can't recommend him enough. If you have a high end sports car, don't waste your time at Rick's. Go to Peter B's. He's the best in town.

Have taken my vehicles to Peter for over 20 years. Have never had any problems with their work. This is a mechanic I trust to take my vehicles for repair. Issues explained in clear "non-car person" language and I have never felt pressured to get additional work done. I have peace of mind that the work is done correctly the first time. Nice experience with Peter 's B, I had an oil leak and idle vibration problem, they have figured out the problem and solved them with a reasonable labour price. Although they took a long time for appointments, their service turns out to match up with the waiting.

As A mid-life crisis, I bought the car my dad always wanted before he passed, 2006 Jaguar XKR. After taking it to multiple shops, to fix the silliest of issues, I thought I had made another poor life decision. Then I found Peter and Cindy of Peter B’s in Urbana Illinois. The shop is off the beaten path and the wait list to get in here is overly long. The wait was worth it. All issues on my car resolved. At what price? To my pleasant surprise A very reasonable one! For $106 they told me what needed fixed and a ballpark amount of how much it would cost. I gladly paid the amount. If you have a European car and live in Champaign County this is your go to place. Always goes above and beyond, always fair prices, and he really listens to me when I have any kind of special request. I hope this shop is around for many years to come!!!

My car started making a terrible noise approximately 2 hours from Alexandria, VA an 11 hour drive from home. The dealer there flushed the differential to ease it. But it did not help, at all. We brought it to Peter Bs in Urbana as soon as I arrived home. Peter went with us on a test drive then in just a few hours had it repaired. 3 heat shields had lost bolts. He is so honest, he the repaired what was needed without taking more than your car is asking for. Highly recommend this car repair establishment to any and all!!!!

We had an emergency repair for our 2009 VW Jetta that needed to be done so my daughter could get home from U of I as she was graduating and starting work the next week (ignition coil failed). Diane and Peter were gracious enough to accommodate us when no one else would. They were very professional and did exactly what needed to be done. They in fact went above and beyond expectations (also an animal had nested under the hood). I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Anybody in the area in need of a great place that is professional and does honest work needs to go here and nowhere else. We are no longer going to be in the area and we wish them the best!

We took our car here for years. Just a standard Honda, nothing fancy like many other customers. Peter B's consistently saved us tons of money, gave us great advice and educated us, and performed top notch repairs/maintenance at fair prices (they did one job for $1k less than what another nearby shop - let's call them Pee Dee Argh - requested after inspecting the car). They were incredibly nice and professional. Never felt treated any different than the more affluent clientele. After moving, we constantly compare any new auto shops to the standard they have set. We regret we couldn't bring them with us when we moved. :(

I have been remiss in not leaving a review for Peter. We moved from the area a few years ago, and I really wish I had a shop in my new hometown that I trusted like I did Peter B's. I brought Peter several cars over the years, and I always got more than I asked for. I remember one time I dropped off a steering knuckle to have a hub pressed out. Peter cleaned and painted parts that he didn't need to just to make them look nice. Who does that? Only somebody who cares about their customers and the work that comes out of their shop. I took him my race cars, my grandparents' old Diesel Mercedes wagon, and who knows what else. If you get a chance to peek in the back, you'll see that lots of locals trust Peter with vehicles that are very special to them. You will get expert, excellent, fair service from Peter. He's a great mechanic and business owner, and I genuinely miss being able to take my cars to him when I needed to.

Peter B's is our go to auto shop for our 99 Mercedes. They always do a great job at an affordable price. We recently took our Mercedes in because our heater wasn't working, and goodness knows it's cold right now. It also had a mystery clunk when going over bumps, and our windshield washer fluid reservoir was cracked and wouldn't hold fluid. They were able to fix all issues in a timely manner and at an affordable cost. We would highly recommend Peter B's for all automobile repairs and needs.
