Always nice place to shop! Just a heads up on mole baits. Had manager help me out with mole baits. He suggested the poison peanuts, said customers told him they have god luck with them. I bought 2 containers and followed the instructions to a t!. Used up both containers and 3 weeks later still have moles tearing up my yard. Did some research and moles teeth are meant for worms and grubs not hard poison peanuts. Don't waste your money on the poison peanuts. As I said though, nice place to shop!

I want to recognize Hayley at this location for going above and beyond to assist in a last minute tent rental! We had a misunderstanding with another True Value store about their delivery radius, and even though the Milford location was booked, Hayley made it work for us! We went through this location two years ago for a party tent rental and it went extremely well.

Today we were helped by Michelle and Peter, and they managed to turn our day around! We were renting a truck, and U-Haul was causing some computer issues and a previous customer used our rental longer than expected. Michelle and Peter rushed to get us what we needed- Using two computers at once to try to get our reservation going. They were incredibly kind, professional, and showed that they really valued our time. Great experience! 10/10!!

This is an update, still with the 5 start rating. Recently I've been having issues with my 19 year old Lawn Tractor and the guys and girls at Peters have been great. They have ordered spares for me, helped me find the right parts and had part shipped in from other stores overnight.
Don't buy online, the prices are comparable and you can support a great local store

This store is Amazing. The customer service is Great and they can handle anything. It might not be on the shelf, but they can get it. They are not a Home Depot, but who wants to be that. Local shopping supporting local families. A couple of dollars more is worth knowing the money stays in my Community. Here is something to ponder on. "Everyone knows the price of something, but no one understands the value of anything" Peter's does and I love it.

This store is fantastic. Open floor plan, assistance on the floor, cashiers waiting for you when it is time to check out. They have everything you need. I also rented a 26' uhaul from them and the process was handled with great courtesy on the phone and during all pick up and drop off phases.

I work nearby, so have stopped here regularly for 10 years. I keep coming back because I really appreciate their employees taking me to the items I'm looking for. And I don't have to wait and have someone knowledgeable paged to come and assist me. Compared to Home Depot 30-45 minutes, it's 5-10 minutes.

Was extremely pleased with my rental experience after issues with weather and my own conflicts related to the job site. Although this was zero fault of Peter’s True Value, staff was extremely helpful and understanding, offering numerous options to accommodate my challenging schedule. I have rented equipment from many different places, but I will go out of my way to rent here in the future. It was quick, the equipment is very user friendly. I would highly recommend renting equipment from Peters True Value, and will continue to do so in the future.

We rented tent, table and chairs for a graduation party and had a great experience. I reserved everything early in the year for a late June party. The tents were high quality. I wanted everything set up on the driveway and they had everything to do that. I will use them again for our next outdoor party. Great service and fair price. I believe the owner even was there for set up to make sure everything was done right. Highly recommend

Don’t tell customers you price match and then don’t price cause it’s amazon same exact part number n everything. 23$ difference in price is kinda crazy imo when it the cashier says we don’t gouge any one we are very fair. Few dollars difference I would have bought it almost 25 and I can have shipped to my door tomorrow for 16.99 that’s a horrible joke, Peter behind parts counter is a tool, told me at the counter the part was 31 walk to the front to pay rings up @39.99 then told me that’s not what he said 3 min prior……then he obviously thought I was going to steal the part because he basically sprinted from the parts counter to the front desk practically on my heels as I walked to the front to pay a great way to nvr have my money spent in YOUR store ever again. I have nvr been treated with such disgusting customer service. I can assure you one thing Pete is the biggest tool I’ve ever delt with piss poor choice to treat someone like u did today sir, good news travels fast bad news travels even faster. We live in a small town not sure u should treat ppl like that if your wanting to continue business definitely lost me as a customer. Ive been coming to you guys for years i’ve bought weed whips chainsaws endless amount of parts no more and to think you guys lost my business over 23 dollars that’s unbelievable imo.

Just wanted you to know what a completely fantastic experience I had with one of your employees named Michele (dark hair). I accidently ruined one of my best friend’s favorite t-shirt (whose name is Peter) which was a red Peter’s True Value Est 1950 tee shirt. Though it may be just an ordinary t-shirt to many, it was very important to him. I visited the True Value store in Livonia, Brighton, and South Lyon with no luck to purchase nor any concern of assistance for my need. I then drove from Westland to your facility (20+ miles) where I met Michele in the parking lot who promptly greeted me and asked if she could be of assistance. I explained what I needed, and she told me not to worry and that your facility did indeed sell the shirts. Unfortunately, the size I needed wasn’t on the floor but she stated she would be happy to check in the back to which she did. Not only was I able to find a replacement shirt, but also had my faith renewed in humanity based on how kind, professional, caring, and attentive she was to my needs. I am sorry to report that this event occurred on 7/4/24 and I am now just getting around to writing this as I misplaced her name. I really hope Michele is still working there and that you know how much I appreciated her! She is truly an asset to this store, and I appreciated all that she did for me. Please make sure management is aware of what a fantastic employee you have with her.

We recently moved to South Lyon and this store has been amazing. I have been trying to find a landscape company to get my lawn aerated and couldn’t find anyone so I came to the store to rent a machine, unfortunately I didn’t have a vehicle that could fit the machine. Butt I live just down the street and they were kind enough to make an arrangement to have it picked up and delivered. Thank you for all your help!

We used to love coming to this store but will never go again! We have recently had 2 horrible experiences with the repair department. We brought in something with a working motor and wanted something else on it repaired and they handed us back a non-working motor in 3 pieces and said they cannot fix it..and wanted payment and didn't even address why we brought it in! Also brought them a chainsaw to fix, brought it home and won't stay running more than a minute and would not guarantee their work or try to make it right........DO NOT GO HERE!!!

5 stars for Tom and Steve in the service shop, they are amazing mechanics. They dont take no nonsense, so treat them with respect and they will help you out! Found Ace Hardware to have better prices on store merchandise, when it comes to things like drywall joint compound and ortho home defense bug spray for example.
