Throughout the process we were informed of the price ( which was very reasonable) and was advised we would have the Jeep back by the end of the day! A family member’s car shut down in the middle of 100°+ temperatures in July. We had taken the car to another mechanic multiple times and they were unable to resolve the issue. I think that Precision Automotive should add an additional line to their website after the statement: Courteous and friendly service on all repairs…. That line should read: We’ll take care of you! That is what the owner Dodie Robert said to us right after we told her our predicament. And that is exactly what she did. Background: Our Class B (2000) VW Rialta RV’s serpentine belt broke on I-84 W approximately 25 miles from Boise. We were over 600 hundred miles from home at that point in time. My husband started the AAA process to get us towed and I worked on finding an automotive repair shop. I looked carefully at reviews. It being the weekend there was only one shop open and he would not work on our rig. (Not an atypical response when we need work done). He suggested Precision Automotive (which was my first choice but they were not open til Monday). When Code Red Towing arrived we asked to be towed there. Come Monday morning we knew right away we were in good hands. This family owned and operated business is run with expert knowledge, experience and humor! They are transparent, efficient and straight-forward. What could have been a nightmare turned out to be a pleasant experience. We were allowed to stay in our RV, get water and plug in to charge our house batteries. Russ, Dodie’s son diagnosed the cause of the serpentine belt failure quickly and did all the necessary repairs. He kept my husband updated and included him in the process (it is not easy finding parts for our RV). Heather, Dodie’s daughter, drove us to a store to get what we needed and also went to pick up a part we needed to expedite the repair work. Turns out another part had to be ordered and was delivered the next day. If we ever need service again while traveling near Boise we’d certainly get it done at Precision Automotive. Where we know that Dodie, Russ and Heather will take care of us.
