You helped me so quickly when I came in with a ruined flat tire. Plus you gave me a ride home as I had to leave the car with you. Everyone was so helpful and in good spirits. Thank you!

Pullen’s Garage provides reasonable priced services and they have great customer service. They look to provide the best solution for your vehicle concerns. I came an AC problem and they were able to let me know that the part causing trouble was under manufacturing warrant and could be replaced by a dealership instead of charging me to get it done with them. They were transparent with what my vehicle needed.

Customers- Beware! My car was running perfectly fine - no problems and no lights on my dashboard. I took my car to Pullens for a simple tire rotation. When I drove away, my ABS brake lights came on the dashboard within the first 5 seconds. 😳 I turned right around to bring it back. They looked at it and test drove it. They said it was likely due to a sensor issue. In addition to the ABS lights on the dashboard , I was told the speedometer was no longer working (it worked 5 minutes earlier and I’ve NEVER had an issue with my speedometer before or since). They said they weren’t sure what it was but could be the tipim, which could cost up to $3,000 to repair after a $300 + diagnostic. AND they think cylinder 2 is misfiring. 😱 They recommended that I not drive to the trip I was leaving for the next day and that they could fix it if they keep the car for a day. I brought my PERFECTLY RUNNING CAR IN FOR A TIRE ROTATION and LEFT WITH LIGHTS ON MY DASHBOARD and all kinds of other problems! I repeated back to Jerry how this all sounds from my perspective (pretty fishy) and he advised it was all a coincidence. 🫤 I later explained everything to my father (who is a retired automotive mechanic) and he also thinks this sounds fishy and advised me to find a different shop. Not to mention the time before this visit, I was given an outrageous price for break repair work. I got a quote from a different garage (Rayco in East Brunswick). They gave me a price for the same work at hundreds of dollars less. I presented Rayco’s price to Pullens and they dropped their price. It shouldn’t take this much work for fair prices and trustworthy service. I’ve since removed my previous 4 star review from 4 years ago. Sadly service quality and trustworthiness has gone downhill within the last few years. ☹️ UPDATE: I had the car checked by a different shop. The reason why my ABS lights came on my dashboard was because one of the tires that was rotated to the front was the wrong size and it was not a problem with my sensor, as Pullens claimed was found in my car’s history and would need to be diagnosed and fixed. For some reason, Pullens couldn’t determine the issue was caused by a wrong size tire. The other shop also said that nothing was wrong with my speedometer (it has worked without issue before and after my visit). A simple tuneup is needed to fix the misfire - a whole lot less than the $350 diagnosis and possible $3,000 repair mentioned by Pullens. Needless to say, there no longer any trust here.

Pullen's is awesome! My catalytic converter went out, I was unsure what to do but this shop really came through. From start to finish, they made me feel seen and heard. They clearly explained the issue, walked me through my options, and got the repair done quickly and professionally. I never felt pressured, just supported.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic. Thank you!!

My first time I was recommended to Pullens Garage in Hamilton NJ. I spoke with Brian on the phone and I felt like I knew him for 20 years. He sent out a mechanic Luis to pick up my car from my work place and take my car back to the shop to fix !!! He returned my car later that same said day all fixed. Brian and Luis, “”THANK YOU” Then 2 days later, I got a follow up “TEXT” from Vince to see how the repair and the experience was !!!! PULLEN’S GARAGE IS MY NEW REPAIR SHOP AND I WILL REFER AS MANY AS I CAN. THANK YOU BRIAN, LUIS AND VINCE AND THE ENTIRE PULLEN FAMILY AND TEAM. GOD BLESS YOU ALL -Gary

Pullens was recommended via RepairPal through my extended warranty company, so I went to diagnose and repair a slipping transmission. They worked with my warranty company and completed the work (a torque converter replacement) and managed the process seamlessly. I will be returning for all of my maintenance now!

If you have a breathalyzer in your car. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They charge $60 dollars for a simple recalibration when the standard is $40. I go to a place off prospect and can get it done for $30. They will overcharge and try to take advantage of you. They know its harder for you to go somewhere else considering your situation. Don't settle and let them rob you. Charging people $250 for a simple diagnosis should be a crime. Especially when it took them longer to get the car on and off the lift then to actually diagnose it. They upcharge unfairly for parts as well. They wanted to charge me $400 A PIECE for simple wheel bearings. I can get 2 sets for all 4 tires online for slightly over $200. I hope karma catches up to this place quick for taking advantage of people who are simply trying to make a change in their life. Absolutely despicable business practices...

Pullen's saved me $700 on a "repair" my dealer told me was "critically needed". They checked and road tested the car and said they saw nothing at all to what dealer had recommended (side note: Beware of service dept at Hamilton Honda). They also did an outstanding job at replacing my front and back brake pads and replaced all 4 rotors. Total price out the door was $1,400. I wasn't prepared for the expense, but after driving the car I am satisfied with the new performance of my car's brake system. My only complaint was a failure to let me know upfront that they were adding an additional charge for paying with a credit card. Unfortunately, lots of businesses do this without clearly letting customers know ahead of time. I could have gotten the cash and saved myself that fee had I been told about it upfront. All in all, Pullen's does a nice job.

Excellent service and accountability from Pullen’s Garage. I have an older high mileage car and this was my second opinion with having been told by prior garage it would be a double digit cost to repair. Pullen’s came in at half the price and kept me well informed during the repair with providing flexibility on the repair strategy. Knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely use them again.

New customer: Vinny and his team did an amazing job. I have Ford 550 diesel work truck that I will be taking all the service work from now on to be done at Pullen’s garage. The pricing is extremely fair and the communication from Brian to me regarding The Truck and what it needed was excellent.

Love Pullens. Their service advisors and mechanics are great. They’ll fit you in, treat you right, take care of your vehicle and their prices are unmatched. They’ve always gone above and beyond for me and even stayed late. It’s the only place I’m bringing my vehicle to.

It was great working with Mike and Brian to get the pre-purchase inspection done. I worked with them from Cedar Park, Tx to get this done New Jersey. I let them know if I buy another vehicle in New Jersey I would definitely use their service again.

Extremely disappointed with the pricing. My father was charged $850 for what is, by any reasonable standard, a straightforward mild repair and single sensor replacement. I told him that was almost double what it should have been, and he was a little embarrassed. Afterward, we contacted multiple local shops to compare pricing for the same scope of work. Even when factoring in diagnostic time, OEM parts (which they did not use, I checked), and fair labor rates for our area, the estimates came in HUNDREDS of dollars less. Before the standard response this review will inevitably have about “premium parts” or “quality workmanship”, performing a basic repair correctly is the minimum expectation of any licensed repair facility. That is not a premium tier of service. It’s the job. If there were extraordinary complications, they were not communicated. What was communicated was a final bill that sits well above prevailing market rates. Customers deserve transparency and proportional pricing. We won’t be returning, and I strongly recommend getting a second estimate before authorizing work here. Just check the other reviews that are similar. Its a shame, this place used to be solid years ago. UPDATE: In response to Vince's response. Vince, thanks for taking the time to respond. My name isn’t John. John is my father. I’m the one who wrote the review after seeing the invoice. Describing this as “two independent repairs” doesn’t really change the math. Whether you frame it as one repair or two, the final price was still $850 which is extremely high. You mentioned that “some shops would have immediately suggested replacing all the spark plugs and coils.” That’s speculation, and in this case it’s incorrect. As I said, after I saw the invoice, we contacted several local shops and described the exact same scope of work: diagnosing a misfire, replacing a single ignition coil and spark plug, and replacing one TPMS sensor. A few mentioned it could be a good idea to replace more components, but no one was pushy about it. More importantly, every estimate, even factoring in diagnostic time and quality parts, came in hundreds of dollars lower. Some of them were taken aback by the price we were given especially due to the simplicity of the job with this model car and the brand of components that were used. The reference to a warranty company is unrelated to the point being made here. Whether a warranty company approves or declines a repair doesn’t change what the market rate for the work should be. This isn’t about prestige or “better care.” Performing a straightforward repair correctly is the baseline expectation of any licensed repair facility. It’s really not a premium service category that justifies dramatically higher pricing. At the end of the day, customers can draw their own conclusions. I simply recommend that ANYONE considering service here get a second estimate before approving any work. It’s the easiest way to see the difference. Josh
