I have done business with Rand's Auto for years now and have brought three different vehicles to them for many different things all the way from Inspections to a blown out piston chamber in my engine and everything in between. They always take care of things in the most appropriate manner telling me what needs to be done or if nothing needs to be done and offering me different options while recommending the best one. I would recommend them to anyone with a car.

Very rude and unprofessional. Employees could not care any less about you. Had my car fixed a couple of months ago and the same problem happened again just a month later, as if it was never fixed. When I called back to get it repaired again they had deferred me for a week, telling me to bring it in at any time this week. When the week passed and I called back in they had said I should have brought it in from 7:30-8:30 only, which for anyone with a life would know is so inconvenient, and proceeded to tell me they were booked for ANOTHER week as if I had never called in the first place. Avoid this pathetic joke of an auto shop at all costs.

Always fair. John insists on installing the proper parts and not some readily available aftermarket part from a company you never heard of. It might take a bit longer than you’d like but it’ll be done right.

I have gone to Rand's twice and both times I was very happy. They fixed all my problems, didn't over charge me and were friendly and informative. They even worked with my insurance company, making a stressful time as least stressful as possible. I highly recommend them.

We have been loyal Rands fans for a lifetime. The service is fast, honest, and responsive. They never try to upsell you and they use affordable, quality parts. Our fleet of family cars go nowhere else.

I've been taking my cars to Rands Automotive for years. The team is great to work with and ensures the work is done right. I most recently took my car in for service and it was easy. I dropped off the car the night before using their drop box and the car issue was diagnosed and fixed the next day at a fair price.

Trustworthy, generous, quality work. I feel secure coming here (unlike some other places I've been). They are straightforward, clear and honest. Its nice to have found a mechanic I know I can trust. Feels rare these days. Highly knowledgable and always has done good work in my experience. I highly recommend.

Had my daughter's roommate staying with us from out of state, and her trunk wouldn't close. It was a Saturday, and we had a storm a-coming. Took the car to Rand's b/c I've heard good things about them in the past and they were open, and they made an adjustment that fixed the problem. We asked for the bill, and they told us not to worry about it and sent us on our way. They could have charged us $40 or $50 for their time, and that would have been fair, but they chose not to. I took my own car back because it needed an inspection and I wanted to give them that business for the kindness they showed. They were quick and great with the inspection, too.

They are friendly, reputable, trustworthy, professional and deliver quality work consistently. I've been going to them for years, with multiple cars and every time is the same. They aren't the cheapest- but quality can't be bought! You'll save so much more over time by getting it done right the first time.

Today was my first visit at Rand's, these guys are great, they save you time and don't over charge you. No wonder my friends recommended this place and I am going to spread the word as well.

Went in for a Inspection sticker 7/8 so early in the month and I was in and out. No issues with the car or the front office. My go to place for State Inspection, but I do have my own mechanic.

Never written any online review, but these guys deserve praise. They are consistently honest and offer fair prices. I recently had to go to a nearby Honda dealership to have a key programmed and they quoted me like $1500 of asinine repairs. I declined the repairs and brought my car to Rand's because I trust them. Rand's looked over the vehicle, explained the concerns and reassured me that none of the parts need immediate replacing. They didn't charge me ANYTHING to look at the vehicle. In the past, I dreaded stepping foot into a car shop because it seemed like I was always being overcharged for repairs that were of unclear necessity. I'm actually surprised at how comfortable I feel bringing my car to Rand's, and it's because they treat their customers like neighbors. Rand's is the only place I will recommend to anyone.

I stopped here for an inspection sticker at the end of the month, however, my sticker had expired the month prior. I’m well aware that my new sticker would be April, but there were several reasons that I needed to delay the sticker. When I showed up, I politely asked if they had time for a sticker. I was told “yup, just like everyone else waiting until the end of the month”. I replied and said “actually, my sticker expired the previous month” to which he replied “well you’ll still get an April sticker”, and I said “I know, and I understand”. A short while later another worker came and said my car was ready, but it failed inspection. I asked “Why?” To which he threw his hands up in an a very condescending manner and replied “the front end is loose”. I asked what he meant by that and he just kept repeating that the front end was loose, instead of explaining what the actual issue was. There is nothing wrong with my car, and the way I was treated throughout this visit was incredibly disrespectful. I overhead the workers talking about customers waiting until the end of the month for inspection stickers and “hopefully you don’t have plans tonight, because people are getting worse not better”. I am 100% sure if I was a male, not only would my car have passed but I also would have been treated much more respectfully. Also, if you have an auto shop, you should probably expect that people will come for inspections, and if that bothers you, maybe consider another line of work. I’d give them 0 stars if it was an option.

I don't usually write reviews however I was extremely disappointed with how the supposedly new customer service rep spoke to my mother when asking for an estimate. He asked rude, unrelated questions such as what she does for work and if she would do it for free when she was simply asking for a quote. We're severally disappointed since you've just lost a customer that you have had for several years, despite great service in the past. On top of that he had no idea how much an estimate would cost since he doesn't know what the technicians do to repair the car. If you're from Shrewsbury, either do the repair yourself or find another shop.

I stopped here on my way home from work with a flat tire, just a few minutes before close. These guys saved me a major hassle by helping me swap out the flat with my spare. Really above and beyond service in my opinion, shows that the guys here do their best to help out however they can. Thanks so much, guys!

Went to get estimate for work l need done. A man in the office was on a computer and said be right with you. He left area and came back about 10 minutes later. In the meantime another customer came in. The man from the office came back and said to the customer can I help you? I than said I have been here waiting 15 minutes and you wait on him first? He says l will be right with you. I said no you won’t and left. This kind of customer service really sucks. Every one thinks this place is great. Don’t go there you won’t get waited on and treated like you weren’t there. There are too many other places looking for business. Fred Combat Veteran Us Army Retired

Had my vehicle towed in for a no start in July. They called and told me it was the starter. Guy on the phone said I should purchase new not refurbished since they will warranty parts and labor. So that is what I did. Starter failed again in December so I got it towed back in and they "replaced" the starter again. Shortly after that it started making the same noise that indicated the starter was not engaging properly so I crawled under the truck and found out it is a refurbished starter. I spoke to Napa where Joe says he get his parts from to confirm prices of new ($212) and refurbished ($184) and I have the receipt that I was charged the price of a new starter by Rands ($225) the first visit in July. I stopped by the shop and confronted him. As you can imagin I got the BS and run around. Starter is failing again so I now have to replace it for a 3rd time in 6 months and simply can not trust them to take make it right. Have some integrity.

Squeezed my car in on 1 day notice to fix tire air leak, and turned it around jn < 3 hours. Saved me a lot of headaches around commuting for work. Also, very honest guy, kept the repair cheap (<$50) instead of ripping me off for new tires. Really appreciate his service!
