I just recently moved to SLC and needed an auto repair shop for my cars. It's so hard to find an honest mechanic but Mike is dependable, honest and operates his family business with integrity. The team in his shop is friendly, kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable! Vehicle problems are stressful enough, but rest assured Mike and his team makes it painless and will find the source of the problem. Their prices are great! I first went there after being impressed with the reviews online, and I have to say they were 100% CORRECT. These guys are true mechanics! I will only be taking both of my cars to Red Rock Auto Repair going further. I highly recommend Red Rock Auto without hesitation to everyone that needs their car repaired!! Thank you!!

Moving to a different state it took me some trial and error to find a shop I trusted. I can't recommend these guys enough. I had to do an expensive head gasket job on my Subaru so I got quotes from a lot of shops. Red Rock told me they might not be the cheapest but they would do it right. Turns out they were the cheapest and did a fantastic job quickly. Every time I've gone in since then they've been very upfront about what actually needs to be fixed and what can be put off. Honest about prices and never pushy. Very laid back atmosphere and it's nice to be able to have conversations with the experienced mechanics that will actually be doing the work themselves.

I have been using Red Rock Auto Repair for the last 7 years or so and will happily keep using them when I need to. I know mechanics can be "shady" but the first time I brought my vehicle in for a random issue where my car would shut off for no clear reason. John was able to find the issue (Failed ignition coil) and repair it all in a single day and all under 200$. It was the kind of issue where I could of easily been taken advantage of for WAY more money and Red Rock took care of me and was honest. Ever since that repair I have been using them for now up to 4 different cars (3 Hondas and a Mini Cooper) and they have always taken care of us quickly and at a fair price. Anytime I have coworkers or friends looking for a shop I always suggest John and Red Rock. If you are looking for a local shop that can be trusted this is the place.

I called Red Rock Auto about a motor replacement for my Ford Fiesta. John was able to find me a used motor with a 12,000 mile 12 month warranty and have it shipped in about 2 days. They swapped into my car in about a week. I drive over Parley’s every day and for the last two weeks everything has been absolutely amazing. Red Rock Auto did a great job and I’m excited to continue to do business with them. Thank you!

These guys rock!!!! (Excuse the pun 😏) seriously, though… I thought I wouldn’t get my car back for a week. They replaced my radiator and had it back to me same-day!!! I understand not every repair will happen in that time frame, but I’m still incredibly grateful. Dean was super communicative and patient (even though they were down one mechanic). These guys earned another returning customer today.

The Best auto repair shop in SLC! I called them to see the earliest appointment to check my check engine light and they told me to bring my car in first thing the next morning. I took my car and within a few hours I was called to pick it up. Apparently a hose came a lose and they fixed it. They are so honest that they wouldn’t charge me because it took very little labor. I’m definitely trusting them with my car for all future needs. They are honest, efficient and nice. Highly recommended. This was 3 weekend ago and I haven’t had any problems or lights come back on!

Not only is John and the guys at red rock auto some of the best mechanics in the area, but they are honest and straight to the point. I've been a customer of red rock since I moved to Utah in 2010 and John has always been fair and honest to work with. I just recently brought in my new tacoma to discuss getting a new suspension after i was quoted 4k+ from other shops. I ended up paying 2800 at Red Rock.

I had a great experience here! Big O almost scared me into replacing all my brake pads for probably over a grand. I wanted to get a second opinion and a friend of mine recommended here. They were super honest with me, explained what was going on, and told me only the rear brake pads were needed for a reasonable price. The service was quick and my car was ready at the exact time they said it would be. It’s great to find an auto place that I can trust won’t take advantage of me!

Really bad experience, huge waste of time and money. They also didn’t fix the car, they said “should be fixed if you keep running it”. Edit: the repair wasn’t authorized, I paid 850 and I have the car parked at home because it’s not working.

I really wanted to like this place. They did a beautiful job installing my engine mount (Under David Johnson). But they messed up the side of my hood so it doesn’t close evenly. I do have a small dent on the front of my hood but it never had issues closing completely. You can even see grease and dirt on the passenger side where the engine mount is. It looks like they had left tools on my engine or that area and slammed the hood shut, bending the entire hood so it doesn’t close evenly on the passenger side. It wasn’t like that before. The mechanic even made a comment about the dent in the front of a hood. So it seemed he was aware of what happened and wanted to blame it on that. I was hoping to get a bunch more work done long term here but if they can’t fix a mistake like that I don’t know (see pictures)
