Fantastic experience! I noticed the voltage gauge on my Camaro was reading between 8-10 amps, so I took the car into Red's to have them test the alternator. At 31 years old, I suspected it had finally bitten the dust and it had. I left the car with them and less than two hours later it was ready to go with the alternator rebuilt. And the total cost for the job, including removing and reinstalling the unit, was less then the cost that the area auto stores were charging for a rebuilt! They were very friendly and I would definitely recommend them. Good job!

One of the last few oldschool shops around. Straightforward place that does very impressive, quality work, fast. I wish more places were like this. They won't nickel-and-dime you, and they stand behind their work. No b.s. shop. I can't rate them higher.

Absolutely horrible. They charged me $95 to rebuild my alternator. They gave it back to me with a faulty voltage regulator. When I went back to them to resolve the issue they were absolutely refusing to work with me and they told me I should go buy a new alternator and give them my alternator that they broke back to them and then they would refund my money only. Very bad experience I can’t recommend them very bad experience I can’t recommend them. They need to be testing stuff before they give it to the customer and when they make a mistake they need to learn how to make it right. I would avoid them until their customer service ethic improves I would avoid them until their customer service ethic improves.

I have had the rebuild a few starters butbtoday their expertease lost them a repair job but Saved me a huge headache! Just corroded connections, not a bad starter to pull out in a snow storm!! Thank you SO much!

Pro: fast turn around time Con: not competitive with online retailers Less than poor customer service(at least with the guy I dealt with) Brought my alternator in for a rebuild quoted between 70 and 120 on the phone I explained that I found it online for 80 shipped to my door was told on the phone so then it could be on the low end. Tear it out and bring it in wait for a call a few hours later and 99.99. I bite my tounge go in and talk to the guy about it and he looks at me well if your going to buy it off Ebay I'll look into what we will give you for a core. then has me wait and tells me he has it on the shelf for 130. I explained that I would prefer to support local business and he looks at me and says so what do you want to do. I paid it and he said nothing more to me. I've done a lot of stuff through them over the years and this was honestly the worst experience I could have imagined out of them considering previous transactions. I mean at least offer to meet a guy in the middle if he is bringing stuff up or I dont know act like their business matters. I hate leaving this kind of review unfortunately just like the 100s of good ones of written the gentleman earned it.

This used to be a great place to have things rebuilt. Brought a trolling motor in (complete, but disassembled) for an estimate on rebuilding. Turns out for the same price of a rebuild, I could get a new one with a 2 year warranty. I told them not to do anything, and I would come pick it up (I could use it for spare parts). I went to pick it up, and they had reassembled it with new seals. Why? I don't know. The guy then proceeded to tear it apart in front of me, lose some of the parts in the process, and drive out the seals that he evidently replaced (likely ruining them in the process). Seems wasteful as you're not going to resell them now, and I didn't ask for them to be installed the first place. Disappointing.

I had Red's fix my alternator and put in a brand new battery about a year and a half ago. Service was impressive, reasonable and everyone was super friendly. My vehicle is having routine maintenance done and the repair shop just called me. They said my battery needed charging, they did and it has a fault code bad battery. I called Red's and gave the gentleman the details. He said yup it's still under warranty, just bring it in and we'll take care of it. Wow! Customer Service the way it should be. Pleasant, friendly and helpful! Very rare these day! Highly recommend this business!!

Took an alternator there for a quote. They told me they would quote first. Got a call this morning that it was done. I asked why they didn't quote. Only ex uses. Wanted to charge 169 and some change. When I can buy a lifetime warranty one from oreilly for 20 dollars cheaper. What a joke. First and last time going there. Told them to keep alternator. Not picking it up. They said ok. So they got a 50 dollar core free *UPDATE** The response is an amateur response. When you tell me that you are going to open it up and quote me. You should know what it needs. Instead you just did the repairs without contacting me first. As you said you would do. You aren't a brand new company you are supposed to be professionals at what you do. Poor excuse.

Hi had reds rebuild an alternator for me and test the second alternator on my diesel pick up after the big box parts stores told me both were junk it was going to cost me $700 to replace. They rebuilt the one for $200 and told me there was nothing wrong with the second one I highly recommend their honesty. I did have to wait a day for them to get the parts to rebuild it but the cost savings in their openness and honesty is worth the wait. I cannot express how much I truly appreciate the store
