I brought my car here after my brother strongly recommended them and my car reached a point where I no longer felt safe driving it. I knew my brakes were in terrible shape and it just generally sounded awful. Both of the guys I talked to (Ryan on the phone beforehand and Tim when I dropped it off) were very patient when I was trying to describe what was wrong. I dropped it off close to their closing time, so they checked it out the next day, and Ryan gave me a call around 10:30 AM. He gave me a clear explanation of what was going on with the car and what the highest priorities were and how much everything would cost, and we worked out a plan for what was going to be done first (if you're interested, they changed the oil; repaired loose heat shields; and replaced the alternator drive belt, rear brakes, and a lug nut that broke while removing a tire). This was all done by 4:00 the same day. When I came in to pick it up, Ryan broke down everything they did and why and we also talked about what needed to be done next. I made an appointment on the spot to get my front brakes done. I have never felt so at-ease when it comes to car repairs, but these guys are just fantastic, and I know I can trust them implicitly. I will never take my car anywhere else for anything ever again. The only negative thing I can even think to mention would be their hours (I was originally planning on taking my car in on a Saturday, but they're closed weekends), but that's such a minor issue that it's not even worth taking a star away. Just work around the hours, it's worth it. Also, they have a dog there! Awesome.

I have had two services with Redi Imports Downtown shop and felt it was time to drop a review. First had new tires ad alignment on my ( not import) GMC. Felt I got what I paid for, good brand name tires, and an alignment that I didn't know I needed (but I sure did need it), oil change and inspection. There was one minor snafu, but it was quickly taken care of. Next up I had an annoying suspension issue on my other (this time an import) car. It wasn't suspension as I originally thought...their team actually took the time to recreate the issue and track it down to something completely unexpected. This was taken care of in less than 24 hours, and at cost for just the diagnostic work. They could have given up, been dishonest and run the bill up, or just burned billable hours diagnosing the issue. They did neither. I feel this is an honest, clean, respectful shop that actually likes their customers and fixing their cars. Give them a shot I think you will be equally satisfied.

Took my car here for the first time and was super impressed with the service I was given. Ryan (owner), genuinely goes the extra mile to make sure the customers needs are fully satisfied. He made sure that I knew exactly what I was getting and explained things thoroughly. Had my car worked on by Ryan and Derrick- both made sure the work on my car exceeded my expectations. They are perfectionist at their craft. Do not hesitate to take your car here if you want things done right, highly recommend!

I was visiting the Rochester area when my car needed some unexpected repairs. Not being from here I did a Google search, and read the reviews from previous customers. So I am grateful for those comments, because I really am happy, and relieved I chose Redi Imports to work on my vehicle. Every single one of the staff members like Alexa and Libby were friendly, professional, and thorough. Jed the shop manager who took me on a test drive, was patient in answering my questions, and was very helpful in making sure I understood some of the basic mechanics of my car. I thank each and every one of them sincerely for a job well done.

Honestly..I love Redi Imports. Great Customer Service, efficient work, good hours, and good people. However, the owner Ryan is incredible, nice, and honestly an amazing person. I was in the transition of my jobs and I had a small emergency situation with my car. I had no money to pay him but the repair was needed, and if not fixed the cost later would have been much more. Through a verbal agreement, Ryan let me pay him later for the repair, and I couldn't have been happier. Now my car is working, my new job is going great and i have paid back Ryan for his incredible services. This is not a regular things for me to put a review, but when I do its because of the amazing people and business that I went too! :)

My experience the 2nd time around was as good as my 1st visit. Ryan... you and your team are awesome. Don't listen to those negative reviews, the best thing to do is go in for yourself and find out what a good service they offer. I for sure will be back to get more work done on my vehicle. The guy at the desk is an awesome person. Thank you guys. See you guys soon!

I’m a new customer to Redi Imports. I bought my car in for a thorough diagnostic. When I was ready to get my repairs done they were able to get me in quickly! Communication overall from beginning to finish was great. I was explained in detail what was needed for my car and they broke down prices as well. Customer service was great as well throughout all of the employees I worked with. Redi came highly recommended and I will continue to bring my car and future vehicles for any services I need.

Redi Imports is not recommended for a visit. While the employees may be competent and courteous, the owner's behavior is questionable. I took my vehicle in for a brake noise fix, and the owner, who made the appointment with me, said, "We will check your battery, brake noise, engine belt, and tires, all free of charge." However, when I went to see what was wrong with my car, he started saying that I needed to change my engine belt, even though it was replaced about a month ago. Then, he said all my brakes were bad, suggesting that whoever installed them did a poor job. However, the front brakes, including the pads and rotors, are new and just needed some adjustments. He also insisted that I needed new tires, even though they are not even a year old and were recently rotated. His tendency to manipulate customers by suggesting unnecessary car parts for sale at inflated prices and treating customers disrespectfully makes it advisable to seek services elsewhere. Of course, I did not let him fix my car because his prices are ridiculously expensive, the customer service is poor, and he makes you second-guess yourself when your car needs just what you think it does. Do not go to this guy until a new owner runs the business who is honest, and where everything is not just about money. Additionally, when I declined to have my car fixed by him, he charged me a diagnosis fee, even though he initially said it was free of charge. He is a scam, so be cautious. Even if you consider going here, it's best to compare prices and quality of service with other shops before making a decision

Anyone who owns a 300ZX knows how hard it is to find a shop that understands these incredible (but temperamental) cars. In the 20 years that I've owned Z32s, I've been hesitant to bring them to a shop, preferring to do the work myself. Redi Imports has completely changed that for me. Ryan and his team are not only incredibly knowledgeable about the Z and other imports, but they're passionate owners of these cars themselves. I was blown away by their attention to detail and customer service, and will absolutely be bringing my Z back there whenever needed. I can't recommend them enough.

We need our 2015 VW Touareg TDI serviced and I do not (aka will not) trust the dealerships as we've had bad experiences in several locations. I contacted Redi Imports via their website and was able to communicate our drop-off, desired repairs, etc. ALL BEFORE ever dripping off our vehicle. The Redi team did a decent job of communicating with me and my wife as we were both fighting stomach bugs this past week. They had our vehicle for a total of 3 business days and the work all appears correct so far. The AC now blows cold❄️ thanks to the new blower motor. We decided to defer a couple non-critical/non-safety issues to a future servicing... and we're planning on having Redi Imports perform service again on our Touareg TDI.

When i purchased my first car, I decided to come to this shop because one of my friends were hired as a detailer here, and he spoke positive things about the mechanics that worked here. My friend no longer works there, he left to work at a shop that specializes in custom detail work. However, I still come here. I've been having service done on my sentra for roughly 5 years now. I never had a problem with staff or the owner, Ryan, while having my car serviced there. Not once have I ever felt like i was being deceived or lied in regards to the condition of my vehicle. And yes, they have earned my trust. Quotes for repairs are fair, and the quality of work done is excellent. Now that i have another car, I have no problem reaching out to them if I have any questions or concerns. Also, I've read some of the lower star reviews, and to be honest the scenarios painted feel very out of character for the staff. And honestly, I'm pretty sure only one side of the story is being told. The one in favor of the reviewer.

I brought my BMW M340 here for a four-wheel alignment and was charged 225. The steering wheel was left off-center, and the car now consistently pulls to the left. I returned to have this addressed, and instead of fixing the issue under the original service, I was charged an additional 120 for wheel balancing—which, unsurprisingly, did not resolve the problem. When I called the shop right after picking up the car and noticed the issue, I asked if they had test driven it. Sandra, said yes, “of course we test drove it.” Later, when I brought the car back, it became painfully clear that wasn’t true. The next day, I handed the car to Joey, the person did my alignment, and asked him to drive it himself. I then asked him directly: “Did you test drive this car?” and “Does this feel straight to you?” He couldn’t answer either question. All he could admit was that the car was definitely pulling to the left. So not only did they hand my car back with a steering issue, but they also lied to my face about testing it. They blamed the issue on my aftermarket parts—custom bushings and a lower control arm—but that excuse doesn’t hold up. Before I brought the car in, it tracked straight, even with imperfect toe settings. The steering issue only appeared after they worked on it. The car was completely drivable before. Now? I have to constantly hold the wheel to the right just to stay in a straight line. At first, I thought maybe this was just a one-off issue. But then a friend of mine took his Miata MX-5—a completely different make and model—to the same shop, and his car came back with exactly the same problem: a pull to the left. Two different vehicles, same alignment problem. That’s not coincidence—that’s a pattern. Either their alignment machine isn’t properly calibrated, or their floor isn’t level, or they’re just not taking the time to use their Hunter system correctly. I don’t know if they even bothered to lock my steering wheel or use sandbags, but they definitely didn’t do a thorough job. To make things worse, I dropped my car off on a Friday, expecting this routine job to be done within a day. I didn’t get it back until the following Thursday. A full week. For alignment. After several attempts to communicate and request a refund, the owner did offer me to bring my car back to them but I would rather give away that money for peace of mind. I won’t be back. And if you don’t want to waste your time either, I’d recommend staying away. Re: the owner’s reply I do not give permission to share any of my personal vehicle data. I am documenting all communication and reserving the right to pursue legal action if any information is disclosed. I asked for partial refund for 100 the second time I called them, and they said they will call me back. They never did. The specific alignment I was requesting Front: Camber: -2.1 toe: 0 Rear: Camber: -1.8 toe: 0.15 Even if the four-wheel alignment data shows that toe, camber, and caster values are within spec, that doesn’t automatically mean the steering wheel will be centered or the car will track straight. That’s because proper alignment is not just about getting the numbers right on paper—it’s also about making sure the steering system is mechanically centered when those adjustments are made. If the steering wheel isn’t properly centered before they begin the alignment process, or if they fail to lock it in position during the alignment, then the final result can be technically “within spec” but still totally wrong in practice. Your wheels might be pointing correctly according to the machine, but your steering column won’t match that orientation—so your car pulls, and you have to constantly correct while driving. So no, blaming the final alignment numbers doesn’t excuse a crooked steering wheel. That part is entirely on the technician’s process. If they skipped the step of straightening and locking the steering wheel before making adjustments, then the outcome was flawed from the start—regardless of what their printout says. I major in mechanical engineering and math.
