I live on Cape Cod but was interested in a car for sale in Rochester, NY, because of the distance I wanted to have it inspected by a local mechanic. I chose JBI from search results and I’m glad I did. Jerry was very accommodating. He inspected the car and sent me a written report of his findings. Jerry was willing to help us to the ends of the earth. This guy is the real deal. We were visiting from out of town when we team into serious car problems. We didn’t end up needing his help in the end because he talked me through some steps and we realized it had to do with the ion battery. He waited for us and then called us back(I felt badly)—who does that?? We will definitely go to JBI—Jerry—if the need arises. They don’t make people like Jerry anymore!

Myself along with my 2 sons and their girlfriend/fiance have been customers of JBI Automotive for many years. Jerry is by far the most honest and reliable mechanic we have ever known. Myself being a 'single' woman having to deal with automobile issues, I have never once felt like Jerry was pulling any fast one or talking down to me as alot of mechanics are known to do. When I sadly had to use the dealer that I bought my vehicle from for a warranty issue, I called on Jerry for advice and he was more than happy to advise me and help me out. As I was searching for a mechanic around the area to check out sounds I was hearing from my brakes, Jerry ended up calling me back after he had initially been unavailable. He was very helpful on the phone and worked with my schedule to setup a time to get my car checked out. He was knowledgeable about things that were done by previous mechanics and even lubed up my caliper pistons as he wouldn't allow me to go on driving in such a bad state. He then guided me on what to do next and explained parts, labor, and expectations with clarity. He seems like a good guy, and I will go back to him in the future. I would recommend him if you like being a patron to a good laborer and worthwhile community member. 5/5 ⭐

I could not recommend this mechanic enough. Jerry was very patient when we were scheduling an appointment and took time to find a day that worked best with our little amount of availability. When we took our vehicle in he informed us that we did not need a brake change after all when most mechanics would just take advantage of the situation to make an extra buck. I got a very strange situation with my car. The suspension only makes the creaking noise while reach the certain speed while going over the speed bumps. I took the car to Jerry for diagnosis. He did a test drive with me and checked every single parts of the suspension carefully with finding out everything runs smoothly. He did not charge me anything and also lubricant the bushes. He even explained to me the potential cause of that noise although my car doe not applied. I will strongly recommend to visit Jerry while you find something not going well on your car. Unlike other big auto services shop just charge you for profits, Jerry is here to really helping out with people like me who knows nothing about mechanics. Will definitely go for Jerry if I have other issues with my car!

After many years of dealing with dishonest mechanics at dealerships and some shoddy independent shops, I searched Yelp and Google for a reputable mechanic near me, and JBI Automotive came up. The shop had excellent reviews, so I contacted the owner to discuss the rear suspension issues that had arisen on my car, and Jerry called me right back. He took time out of his busy week and had me bring the car in so he could diagnose it. He had me in the shop and showed me what was wrong, and reassured me the car was safe to drive to a wedding in Buffalo that weekend, but he wanted me to schedule a time within the next week or two so he could replace my rear struts. I love my 2003 Camry, and I want to keep it for as long as I can since I am close to retirement, and Jerry understood that. He did the repairs in a timely fashion, showing me the bad parts that he took out, and his charges were extremely reasonable. Recently, I brought my car back to him to ask him if my brakes would pass an inspection in November, and he found an issue with my front control arm that would not pass an inspection. He kept me updated during the whole time he had my car so I knew how things were progressing. He replaced the control arms and did my front brakes only (he said the back brakes were still good), and charged me a very reasonable price for the work. I would highly recommend Jerry, particularly to the ladies out there who have been taken advantage of by mechanics! I will be a customer for life! Thank you Jerry!

Very honest! He went above and beyond pulled up pictures of my car took the time to really explain what going on so I understood. A lot cheaper but yet better quality ( explained and didn’t charge extra for pointless things) than going to west herr. Highly recommend!!!!
