Rick will to above and beyond to help you get going. He is a very honest and hardworking guy. His prices are reasonable. A Rattlesnake once bit Rick while he was panning for gold. After 4 days of excruciating pain, the rattle snake died. On another note, his wife and daughters are all supermodels.

My 2007 Civic Si - the AC was cutting on and off. They tried to cheaply service it, and when that didn't fix it they took that money I'd spent on that service and subtracted it from the cost of replacing the compressor/ condenser. I spoke to the owner for a while, he really cares about making his customers happy! Good people there.

My parents and siblings have all taken our vehicles there and been very pleased. I had him clean out my truck radiator and I didn’t see the results I was hoping for. He cleaned out my radiator again 6 months later to make sure he hadn’t missed something. Turned out I had other unrelated issues. He cares about his reputation and a job well done. I’ll be back! All I can say is Go! If you need your ac fixed for whatever reason they are GREAT. I had an old car and needed my ac looked at as it was waayyy to hot to be driving with none. Rick and his mechanic were the nicest people and even let me see my car get worked on. Definitely going back to them and pricing was great as well.

I went here based on the reviews and Rick lived up to his 5 star reviews! Other shops were quoting me $200- $800 more than what Rick did it for. We went in to get our air conditioner fixed and we plan to go back for more of our car repair needs. He was honest and did a great job.

Was visiting family in Ogden as my family and I were traveling across country. My daughter's vehicle started to make a loud humming noise and a weird vibration while the a/c was on. I called the shop just see if I could get it looked at as we were leaving to travel the next day. Rick was more than happy to have me bring the car in so he could look at it. Turns out it was nothing that would stope from traveling back home and we could fix the issue there. Rick also was more than happy to volunteer his time and do it free of charge. Many thanks to him and I will definitely keep his shop in mind if I'm back in the area and have need of his services. I also will recommend his shop to friends and family that live in the Ogden area.

I can’t decide if it’s more important to have a doctor you trust or a competent auto mechanic. You can certainly make a valid argument for both. Because auto repair, along with everything else has become insanely more expensive since 2000, having an auto mechanic who charges a fair amount and more importantly doesn’t actually peal your skin off with a dull knife has become a paramount issue. I recently had Rick’s Cool Auto repair two different ac symptoms on a F150 and a F350. In one case it turned out to be a $6 Schader valve and in the other case an equally inexpensive part to fix a slow leak. Both bills together wouldn’t cover a meal for four at Tona Sushi Bar in Ogden. In both cases I fully expected the bills would necessitate selling my first born. It would have been so easy for a crooked facility to get out their dull knife and gleefully go to work. I am certain that there are people who would complain if they were being hung by a new rope. And the world is full of honest mistakes. It’s the dishonest non mistakes perpetrated by so many in this society that should result in them spending an eternity confined to Lagoon without an all day pass and a daily food budget of only $100. My personal definition of what hell would be like. Hopefully you give Rick’s Cool Auto an opportunity to help you out. I had an AC compressor seize up on my Honda CRV. Rick was able to get my car in 2 days after I called, faster than I expected. There were a couple unforeseen issues that required extra parts be ordered in but even with those delays I had my car back in 4 business days. Again, faster than I expected. Rick was fair and honest with all the repairs. The parts that were needed were billed at nearly the same price I could get if I went to an auto parts store, not outrageously marked up like the dealer or some other mechanics usually do. Good quality work, done quickly, and at a fair price.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about Rick’s Auto Cool in Ogden, Utah! Rick has been my go-to for years, and he’s never let me down. His service is always top-notch, but this past June, he truly went above and beyond. The day before my family and I were set to leave for a birthday trip to Bryce Canyon, my car’s air conditioner broke. I called Rick in a panic, explaining we were leaving the next day. Even though his schedule was booked out a week, Rick worked his magic and squeezed me in, fixing my AC just in time for our trip.
