If you had any common sense you would not take your car here. Had car for over three weeks just to get it back with a faulty part and than car to have same problem within weeks of getting it so called “fixed” waste of a couple thousand dollars and no running vehicle.

Took my car in for a diagnosis of a clanking noise in the undercarriage. They test drove it, put it on the rack, found and fixed the problem. No charge, even though I pressured him to take a payment. They took pictures of emerging problems and showed me on their computer screen when I went in to pick the car up. Courteous, professional and knowledgable. Haven't had any work done yet, but I will. And I expect to be completely satisfied. Recommended.

The people at Rick's are the best! I was taken in promptly and given a time frame when the work would be completed, and they were right on time! All of the personnel were polite, courteous, and knew what they were talking about without using all of the confusing terms that mechanics love to use. The employees at Ricks car care (Terry and Erik) were very professional and did everything to keep an open line of communication with me in regards to my vehicle and what needed to be done. I wouldn't take my vehicle any where else for repairs. I'm a female senior and have had some bad experiences with vehicle repair places in the past. Rick's Car Care doesn't try to take advantage of you. Erick was so helpful and kind. Everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel at ease about getting your vehicle fixed correctly and as quickly as possible.

From the start, the service manager Terry was extremely helpful and informative. They performed a very detailed inspection of my truck recognizing even the smallest issues. They were very professional about not forcing unnecessary service on me as well! To top it, they worked extremely expediently getting my repairs done. I Most definitely recommend this shop to anybody on the central coast!

I had taken my 11 Camry to another local shop where I was told my e fine was knocking and my car was no good. I then I had the family mechanic take a look at it, he told me my car was fine. I decided that I would have my car looked at again in a shop. After asked around for a honest reliable shop, I was told to go to Rick’s. I had my car looked at my the gentlemen at Rick’s and was told the engine was just fine, there was no knocking. The guys here did a complete look at my car. They sent me a complete work up, with photos to show me how dirty my air filter was. This show is the first to ever show me what needed to be replaced in such a detailed manner. The guys were really helpful. They answered all my questions. I feel safe driving my car.

This is the best mechanics shop I've ever been too hands down. Their service model is modern and easy to understand. The shop provided me with a free vehicle inspection and provided detailed insight into the issue with my vehicle. They also gave me their personal recommendation and actually advised against dumping money into the car. This is what you want from an auto shop. Pay them a living wage and they'll be honest for you. Quotes for fixing were reasonable. You might find cheaper service elsewhere, but I feel confident saying you'll get what you pay for.

I had 2 bad experiences with Ricks Car Care in my family within the last month with different cars- both times they returned the car to us “fixed” yet the same issues were still occurring. They didn’t apologize or compensate us in any way. I put $750 into my Prius because the red warning light was coming on, the next day the light came back on and they quoted me another $700. My dad put $5000 into getting his truck fixed and it completely broke down on the freeway the next day- no power steering or power brakes. It seems like their method of fixing cars is through trial and error, not actually locating the source of the problems. In addition to all of this, they kept the truck for a week longer than they said it would be ready, and promised a loaner car but had given it to someone else when we went. I’ve never left a bad review before but I’m very disappointed in their services and will not be trusting them with my vehicles again.

First off I want to thank Amanda for the amazing customer service up front. She’s extremely polite and helpful. I brought in my car that was experiencing water leakage on the passenger side of the cabin. They worked on my car for multiple days trying to actually resolve the issue. They fixed it! My drain plugs were clogged with mud and other gunk! Thank you so much for taking time and caring about my cars issue. They went above and beyond and I appreciate it! If you’re thinking about coming here don’t! Just come on in! Amanda will get you checked in and most likely on your way to getting your vehicle fixed or serviced! God bless this place! 🙏🏻

I had previously had good experiences with Rick's, however in the summer of 23 I purchased tires through them that were supposed to last for 50,000 mi. They wore out under 32,000. I'm now stationed in Virginia, I contacted Rick's to get information on replacements and they gave me a number for a company that did not have any affiliation and then have failed to get back to me twice now with any additional information when I tried contacting them again. In general I would advise purchasing your own tires in advance when you know you need them and be cautious if you expect follow through and follow up from Rick's.

Rick's is my current go-to shop here at home on the central coast; they do excellent work and can somehow, miraculously find parts for my beloved fleet of post-smog, pre-OBD-II (1976-1995) cars, whereas many shops simply chase me off with a broom as soon as I pull up. (but I've also been happy with work they've done done on newer cars). Prices are fair for the very high-quality of service and expertise they provide.
